Better than most of the other top 10 songs by a country mile (especially that Taylor nonsense, it should be forbidden for her to make music).
    [quote:17oh3arc]4 (6) Loreen – Ocean Away
    Chart Run: 6-*4*- / 2w
With the arrival of ''Statements'' I felt like Loreen was trying to do a similar thing to what Jamala did.
''Ocean Away'' is also a bit reminiscent to Jamala but nevertheless feels like a step deeper in the experimental direction.[/quote:17oh3arc]

Glad you kinda like it, however i also love Taylor, obviously

Oh never thought about that, but there's something, you're right I think this really fits to Loreen, at least "Ocean Away" is really, really good IMO.

Well, The Script also won't show the best performance i'm afraid

Imagine Dragons need to announce the third single. It's about time, at least outside the US...

When it comes to Evanescence... I should be in ecstasy and put it @ #1 instantly... But instead, it didn't even debut on my chart...
    Grüezi

Yes, she did! I'm so happy about that. Not really sure what to think about the release day though, as it's the same for Taylor Swift and Evanescence, two other artists i really love, so it'll be a busy week then
Anyways, i feel the same about Evanescence. "Bring Me To Life" is still amazing, this new version doesn't do much for me though. I also thought it could be a contender for the #1, or at least stay in the Top10 for some time, but now they're flopping a lot. Maybe the new track which came out on friday will do better...

Oh no, i didn't mean that touching, i meant normal. Well, at least it should be normal, between two partners, but it probably still isn't for most other people, if that makes sense.

Well he probably didn't realize that i was doing it as we just had a short discussion about it yesterday where i was doing the 'bang bang' song from 'How I Met Your Mother' (don't know if you know it...) and he was surprised i was singing (well, if you can call that singing ). No i don't remember, it were more than just one actually. I think one of them was "Symphony" (at least the verses... the chorus is impossible to hit for me )

Haha you know, i'm always (or at least most of the times when it comes to other stuff or other people) the glass-full-guy. Anyways, "Swish Swish" just got certified with Silver in the UK and still is in the iTunes Top10 there

But aren't country fans always the ones supporting male artists in general? I think i read somewhere that country radio for example rarely plays female country artists, and the older they are, the less they get played as well. But i guess we'll see it soon... less than two weeks, so excited for these albums! Also, i think Demi is doing the ticket bundle, or something similar at least... so i'd definitely place my bet on Demi right now.

You're probably right, though, and that "&" was their way of showing us all along that this wasn't Bieber's next lead single.
At least i hope it's not his lead single. It's already falling down the charts...

      Brilliant tune <3

Anyways, yeah, i would have been surprised if we would have had the same #1 as mine isn't also a typical one i guess

      • Somewhat similar to what you were saying about "Blank Space" here, Halsey's "Now Or Never" became a sleeper hit on my chart (never cracked the Top 10, but racked up more total weeks than many songs that do)...but I don't see the same thing happening with "Bad At Love" I haven't heard anything else from Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, so would you have picked anything different for the follow-up?
      • I think it might be time for you to finally forget about "Never Forget You"... ;)
      • Aw, a bit bummed to see such a tepid debut for "Crybaby." I don't think it'll go down as big of a Paulboard hit as "Picking Up The Pieces" or "Only Love Can Hurt Like This", but it's definitely catchy, and I really appreciate its message (especially now that hyper-masculinity seems to becoming even more popular/mainstream again, not that it ever really went away.) "you don't have to 'man-up', that phrase kinda sucks..."

Yet another chart that's like a light in the dark, Tansike!
Thanks for checking out my latest #1, and also nice to hear it's nothing you'd turn off after a few seconds... I think it's a cool track and i love the girl who is singing (Anette Olzon, the one who has that never-dying album on my charts). Unfortunately, the song itself isn't as strong as i was hoping for, and that one week at #1 was most likely already its last.

That's great news for "Now Or Never", however i'm not that disappointed to hear this about "Bad At Love". It's actually one of the weaker songs on "hopeless fountain kingdom" for me. "Strangers", "Heaven In Hiding" or "Sorry" would be my favorite picks for singles.

Haha, well, i will never forget it I'd count it to my all-time-faves to be honest, and i still use to get back to it every now and then. It's just amazing. And i'll see Zara later this year live, so if it's on her setlist (and it surely will be on it), then it's already kinda clear to see it back into the Top20 soon

Well, Paloma has yet to score a big hit on my charts It's a nice song but that's it as for now, and for me. She's really interesting though and i wish it would do better for her, just because she's also very likable and sympathetic, so she deserves success.

Thank you - i hope so too! Just checked a few moments ago and i'm happy it's the highest debut, but i'm also surprised it didn't debut higher (since it's a new Taylor song, after all)

      • I'm glad to read that you don't feel so sick anymore (missed you on my Christina countdown, your charts, and your FSC entry) and it seems that your chart will be released very soon!

I still need to listen to the EP a bit more but I enjoy everything. However, I use Spotify right now because the last.fm scrobbler doesn't scrobble my iTunes plays anymore (******* stupid 12.7 update!) and me and Spotify is quite complicated. I use it to discover new music...so right now I am listening to Evanescence's previous studio album for the very first time xD - Maybe I should go and listen to the Dark Element again ;) - And I agree, the competition will be massiave!

Yeah, the songs themselves are quite impressive on the albums you mentioned but I think Tarja's voice suited the whole NW sound more Anyway, I like most of their albums

Mmh, I have to wait for the album and I am praying that Loreen will find her way again ;)

Can't wait to see your new "...Ready For It" peak!

I am not really familiar with Eluveitie but thanks to a compilation (bought that one in 2008 or so), I know that they exist ;)

        • ^ thanks. Well, i'm still not 100% healthy again but at least it's already so much better than last week. New charts coming up shortly, yeah... (and finally! )

To be honest i didn't listen to it for nearly a week now, but that's probably also because i didn't listen to as much music as i do in normal weeks. Sounds interesting, as i already made the update but i had no problems yesterday I really hope my scrobbles from work won't get lost, as i always use my iphone to listen to my own music at work (well, with a cable through the radio), and these are often a problem with me. Sometimes many get lost, and i hope it won't be the case now as well, as it's usually 100+ on a normal working day
Very glad to hear this about Evanescence though! You mean the self-titled one, right? How do you like it? I love "My Heart Is Broken" and "Lost In Paradise", but overall it was clearly their weakest release to date.

Hmm true. Tarja basically is the reason why NW are NW, and is the main reason behind that symphonic metal genre they created, more or less.
Speaking about Tarja, have you been following her countdown? She's revealing some parts of a picture everyday, and only two parts are missing. It's most likely for a new album and it looks creepy af so far

          I hope so too

A few minutes until you'll find out...

Ah good. They're actually quite good. Since you enjoy Faun a lot, i think you may like Eluveitie's current album a lot as well

              week 37/2017 – 14 september 2017 …Ready For #1?

              • Singles Top40

Due to the delay, here’s only a short recap of the latest chart:

Taylor Swift scores her seventh number one single with “…Ready For It?”, which rises 6-1 following its debut a week ago. Meanwhile, its predecessor “Look What You Made Me Do” falls 2-6. Loreen’s “Ocean Away” reaches a new peak as well, climbing 4-2, The Dark Element’s “The Dark Element” is down 1-4 while Rachel Platten’s “Broken Glass” returns to the Top5, becoming her longest running Top10 single ever (7-5).

Seven new- and two re-entries made the Top40, with Kelly Clarkson owning the highest arrival with “Love So Soft”. It enters the charts at #3. It’s only her third Top3 hit following “Never Again” (2007, #2, certified with Platinum) and “People Like Us” (2013, #2). Other debuts are “Up The Creek” by Tori Amos (#8), “Too Good At Goodbyes” by Sam Smith (#9), “Let Me Go” by Hailee Steinfeld & Co. (#14), “Dusk Till Dawn” by Zayn and Sia, “Ultra Love” by Marlon Roudette (#36) and “Disco Tits” by Tove Lo (#38). The two re-entries are Arch Enemy’s “The Eagle Flies Alone” (#31) and Tori Amos’ “Cloud Riders” (#33), both being back due to the album releases of these two artists.

There are two new certifications, both for songs in the symphonic metal rock genre: Eluveitie score their first certified release ever with “Lvgvs” going Gold (5-10) while Tarja’s “An Empty Dream” goes Gold as well (31-37), which means all of her chart entries are at least Gold now.

Arch Enemy’s “The World Is Yours” jumps 40-25 as the biggest climber, while Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me” tumbles down 19-35 as the biggest loser of the week.

              • Album Top20

There were two new releases I was looking forward to and both made the Top2 this week, but not the way I expected them. Tori Amos’ very first notation ever makes a stellar entry at the top of the Album Top20, as the album turned out as a big surprise. It’s followed by Arch Enemy’s “Will To Power” at #2.

There are three more movers worth a mention this week: Lindsey Stirling re-enters the charts at #11 following the announcement of her Christmas album “Warmer In The Winter”, Anette Olzon’s “Shine” drops 5-12 while The Script have an even worse drop with their “Freedom Child” (10-19).

1 (NEW) Tori Amos – Native Invader

                  Thank you!

Well, it's up now, and i think you won't be happy at all with the two artists you highlighted the last time (ID and The Script)

Ha, I think I hear you. So hand-holding, occasional kisses, etc.? You mentioned that his touching in public "is already weird to me" - is that because your previous partner didn't show any affection in public?

That song's a new one on me, and although it's obviously not as epic as Selena's "Bang Bang Bang", I would've loved to hear your rendition! Were you singing it because it applies to the two of you...? ;)

Yeah! I briefly checked UK iTunes while commenting on Jake's chart the other day and was shocked to see it still inside the Top 10! I guess the video actually successfully helped to propel interest in the song there.

But i guess we'll see it soon... less than two weeks, so excited for these albums! Also, i think Demi is doing the ticket bundle, or something similar at least... so i'd definitely place my bet on Demi right now.
Country radio is notoriously male-dominated, at least in recent years, but I thought that country females could still sell reasonably well. After looking into it, though, I guess women are really struggling sales-wise too: of the Top 10 best-selling country albums of 2016, only one was by a woman (Carrie's Storyteller.) Apparently it was the same story in 2015 too, with Carrie being the only solo female in the Top 10 best-selling albums. Damn, I didn't realize things were THAT bad for ladies in that genre That doesn't bode so well for Shania, especially if Demi's doing a bundle too...

Yeah, all three of those sound like they have more hit potential than "Bad At Love" :x Especially "Strangers." Many thanks for sharing those!
Hopefully she can get the era back on track with the third single selection - it'd be such a shame for her to hit a brick wall right after scoring her biggest hit to date (besides "Closer") with "Now Or Never."

                      • I'm holding off on downloading anything else from reputation (besides LWYMMD) before the album drops (unless she releases the official second single), so I've only heard "…Ready For It?" a couple of times. I'm definitely on-board with the chorus, but I'll need some more time to warm up to the rest of it...

                      • I definitely prefer "...Ready for It?" to "Look What You Made Me Do," so it's great to see that one at #1. I like "Love So Soft" even more, though. I was pleased with both that one and "Move You," so I definitely think we're getting something stronger than Piece by Piece from Kelly this time around.

I'm not crazy about the other new entries this week. Both Sam Smith and Zayn are capable of, and have delivered, better.

Oh Have you heard the third track, "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed", which got released last friday? It's another nice tune, but then it's my least fave of the three so far so i'm not too sure what you'll think about it when you already weren't the biggest fan of "Life's About To Get Good" and "Poor Me"
I actually listened to the Shania recommendation, but I didn't like the song. Even if I don't like the music, I'm still rooting for Shania to have a successful comeback era. I don't know how likely that is at this stage.

Well, as for The Script, i'm just not that into the album. I only randomly checked it out... as for "Evolve", no current single and i've played it too often in the past few weeks, and i just liked it less than all other albums on my charts right now. Just bought tickets for their tour next year though

Oh not even that. Just like hugging each other or he touching my back etc… well, I’m simply not someone to show these things in public, but my previous partner was also the complete opposite and never showed it in public (and in general wasn’t the type to touch, hug or whatever a lot).

…if this is the reason why it’s so high, then I’m really surprised as the video is everything but a good one, at least IMO. Anyways, I’m happy, the song is really good and deserved way more success than it got. At least it’s still hanging on a bit in the US and some other countries as well, so it’s not a complete flop like peaking in the first week and leaving the charts soon after the debut.

Wow, I also had no idea it’s THAT male dominated. Makes me even happier for Carrie though, as she deserves that success. Funny you mentioned her though, as I’m currently getting a little bit back into her latest album and ‘wikipedia’-ed it lately and saw that despite it being a success, it sold not even half of that the previous album from her sold
Anyways, Shania is doing the ticket bundle too iirc. I think she’s really difficult to estimate at that point. 100k should be a safe number somehow, but then I wouldn’t be surprised if she does 50-60k as no one knows she’s releasing something OR even the other way round, if she’s doing something like 200k or more since she used to be such a huge album seller in the US. Not long until we will find it out

Glad you liked these three songs, and yes for “Strangers”. They also already performed it live, so I was surprised they didn’t chose it as the second single. “Bat At Love” seems to be an odd choice. Anyways, I’m sure she’s releasing a few more singles so we’ll see, and “Bat At Love” is currently climbing in the US (#27 on iTunes, #77 on Spotify).

Demi seems to be struggling even harder than Miley on your chart this era! (Not that I mind, since I prefer "Malibu" + "Younger Now" to any of Demi's latest three singles...)

Yet another chart that I was totally ready for, Tansike!
Glad you already enjoy it more or less after just a couple of times, and I’m sure you’ll love it once the album drops. I’ll probably do the same with the upcoming promo singles though, as I don’t want to have heard half of the album when it’s out… I want everything at once…

YES! “Move You” is cute and all but it completely leaves me cold So I’m all for “Love So Soft”. I hope it’s a hit for her, it’s so catchy!

                          Still a bop <3
btw “Broken Glass” finally entered the Spotify Top200 in Canada (#192), fingers crossed that’s just the start and not already the end

Really? Didn’t have the time to check the charts of you guys out yet but that’s incredible! <3

I love Hailee’s parts on “Let Me Go” and its position this week may be a good surprise for you. Let’s hope she’s releasing an album soon, she already released many great tunes so I’m here for a full record.

Not too sad to hear this about “Dusk Till Dawn”. It was better than I thought it would be, but it’s still far from a very good song…

Yeah… but somehow I’m still more excited about Demi’s album than for Miley’s album

                          Thanks a lot

I was pleased with both that one and "Move You," so I definitely think we're getting something stronger than Piece by Piece from Kelly this time around.

I'm not crazy about the other new entries this week. Both Sam Smith and Zayn are capable of, and have delivered, better.

It’s still difficult for me to chose the better one, it depends on my mood lately. But “Look What You Made Me Do” got older much fast than I expected, that’s for sure. Very glad to hear this about “Love So Soft”, definitely a great lead single by Kelly and yes, I’m really excited for her album

I agree about Sam, however I’m still everything but a big Zayn fan…

Aw I’m also rooting for her, and I still have some hope left. And I’m sure the album will offer some other great songs

week 38/2017 – 21 september 2017 The Eagle Flies Alone

                            • Singles Top40

The top of the Singles Top40 has been a mixture of rock and pop songs lately, and each genre seems to switch each week, with “Lvgvs” hitting the top spot five weeks ago, Taylor’s “Look” four weeks ago, followed by “The Dark Element”, and Taylor did it again with “Ready” last week. And that model goes on, with a rock song hitting the top spot. Followed by a very quiet week, Arch Enemy’s “The Eagle Flies Alone” jumps a spectacular 30 places, up 31-1, to become their first chart topper ever. Their previous single “The World Is Yours” falls down again (25-32), following its push through the album release the last time.

The highest of five new arrivals nearly made it to the top, and that’s “The Gate”, the newest release by Icelandic genius Björk. With its debut at #2, it becomes her very first notation on the singles charts, up against four Top10 entries on the album charts, making her one of just a very few artists with more album entries than song entries. Only a few weeks after they scored just a short Top10 hit with “Bring Me To Life (Synthesis)”, Evanescence are already back in that part of the charts with “Imperfection”, the first ‘real’ single of their upcoming project “Synthesis”. The song enters at #7, the same position as “Bring Me To Life”, which also benefits a little bit from that new song and re-enters the charts at #33.

One Direction failed to score a Top10 entry during their career, and so far, all of the members also failed to do so with their solo releases. Two were really close, with “Sign Of The Times” by Harry Styles and “Get Low” by Liam Payne (and Zedd) both peaking at #11, with the latter being the most successful song attached to One Direction. It looks like it is underdog Niall Horan who seems to become the most consistent one of the former members though, as his third single “Too Much To Ask” becomes his second Top20 hit by debuting at #14, one spot higher than the peak of his previous release “Slow Hands”. He will release his solo debut album “Flicker” in a month as the third of the guys to do so, and both releases by Harry Styles and Zayn peaked at #6 with just three and four weeks in the Top20, so it’s currently expected to see Niall doing better than this. He is, however, releasing in a very busy week together with Lindsey Stirling and Marina Kaye. Just behind Niall, there’s the fourth arrival of the week, called “Think About That”, the new single by Jessie J. The singer is starting to prepare the release of her fourth album “R.O.S.E.”, and while “Real Deal” completely flopped as a first taste (#40, one week), the debut for “Think About That” is already much better, but still very low considering she has scored six Top10 hits prior these two, and her third album “Sweet Talker” spent a massive 40 weeks on the Album Top20. The fifth and final debut goes to Nick Jonas, who enters the charts at #21 with “Find You”.

Kelly Clarkson stays at #3 with “Love So Soft”, followed by “…Ready For It?” by Taylor Swift (1-4) and “Ocean Away” by Loreen (2-5). Hailee Steinfeld (and all other artists who are included) scores her highest peaking hit ever, as “Let Me Go” increases 14-6. Her debut hit “Love Myself” held that title so far, as it peaked at #10 nearly two years ago. Tori Amos’ “Up The Creek” (8-8), Rachel Platten’s “Broken Glass” (5-9) and The Dark Element’s “The Dark Element” (4-10) make the Top10 complete.

Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” had a strong start, but already leaves the Top10 after just three weeks (6-11). Sam Smith’s drop for “Too Good At Goodbyes” is even worse (9-18), with Zara Larsson’s “Only You” (7-13) and Eluveitie’s “Lvgvs” (10-16) leaving the Top10 as well. The only new entry on the album charts – Anastacia’s “Evolution” – brings back “Caught In The Middle”, the current single by the singer (#31), which has pretty much underperformed so far. Last but not least, while Selena Gomez’ “Fetish” is about to leave the charts (34-38), the track gets certified with Gold this week.

Arch Enemy’s “The Eagle Flies Alone” is the obvious biggest climber while Fifth Harmony’s “He Like That” drops 26-40 as the biggest loser of the week.

                            • Album Top20

In probably the last quiet week of the year, only one new arrival makes the Album Top20, but it leaves the Top2 unimpressed, as both, Arch Enemy and Tori Amos spend a second week there. However, they both switch positions, with Arch Enemy’s “Will To Power” becoming a number one album for the death melodic metal band (2-1), while “Native Invader” dips 1-2 for Tori Amos. The new entry belongs to Anastacia, who has released her seventh album “Evolution”, which debuts at #3. Her last album “Resurrection” opened atop the album charts, however off the back of the Platinum certified hit “Stupid Little Things” and the number one hit “Lifeline”.

Making a huge impression on this weeks charts as well is german Schlager-pop singer Vanessa Mai. While she currently has no single on the charts, her second solo album “Regenbogen” jumps 13-4, surpassing its previous peak at #7. This is mostly due to the album track “Schönster Moment”, which was by far the most played song of the week with around 50 plays. The rest of the Top10 is nothing new, with “Evocation II: Pantheon” by Eluveitie (3-5), “Nude” EP by Loreen (4-6), “So Good” by Zara Larsson (6-7), “The Solace System” EP by Epica (5-8), “hopeless fountain kingdom” by Halsey (8-9) and Fifth Harmony’s self-titled album (7-10).

While “Praying” may be a huge hit, it’s probably a bit surprising to see Kesha’s “Rainbow” already leaving the Top10 after just five week (9-11). Lana Del Rey’s “Lust For Life” has to leave the upper half of the charts as well (10-13). Other than that, Carrie Underwood makes a rather random re-entry at #18 with “Storyteller”.

Thanks for coming by, and yes, the song basically caught me by surprise last week. There wasn't a big competition as i didn't play that many songs (mainly just full albums) but "The Eagle Flies Alone" was the one which kept on being stuck in my head

Also glad to hear it made your Top20, that's really cool

1 (31) Arch Enemy – The Eagle Flies Alone

Gosh! I really wasn't expecting to see this rocket all the way to #1. I think you already know what i think of the singers...well, singing? I'm mesmerised by the whole thing but those vocals grate on me so bad.

                                    4 (1) Taylor Swift – …Ready For It?

This was quite a surprise too, i was expecting #6 to be its peak but alas it managed to climb all the way to the top. A part of me still thinks it was released too soon after Look what you made me do so hasn't really performed that well. But saying that i read it's now been confirmed as the second single after all. So i wonder if we're gonna get a music video. It could end up having a really peculiar chart run if that happens.

6 (14) Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso feat. Florida Georgia Line & watt – Let Me Go

I don't know how i managed to miss this last week but seeing the track #1 in Paul's chart caught my attention and now its top 10 here. Nonetheless, it enters my new chart today, better late than never!

14 (NEW) Niall Horan – Too Much To Ask

<3 I love how this song really seems to have connected with people on UK Mix. I do hope this becomes another successful single for Niall.

21 (NEW) Nick Jonas – Find You

I just posted in Paul's chart about this song. I do like it but i feel like if Nick is gonna get another top 10 single in my chart he's gonna need to go all out to deliver a really strong pop song. After the lukewarm success of Remember i told you i have a feeling it's not gonna happen.

I was surprised as well by how much i started to like this, and yes, i already know your thoughts about it At least it kinda makes an Impression, that's still better than making no Impression at all

You're not the only one thinking that way, as i think it was released too soon too. In some countries "...Ready For It?" flops because everyone is still checking out LWYMMD, while in some others it seems "Ready" kinda stops LWYMMD from being more successful, so it's a lose-lose situation IMO. Anyways, i've started to get over the song really fast last week so there's a big drop coming...

I hope so too, simply because he seems to be a nice guy, but as for myself, i'm not the biggest fan of the song yet and after this great debut, it's likely to take a dive this week. Maybe his upcoming album release will stabilize it again.

While i agree on "Remember I Told You" being weak, "Find You" caught me by surprise and i really like it. I hope he can get at least a moderate hit with it

                                        • Interesting number one! I had no clue that Arch Enemy has released sonething new! Personally, I am not a huge fan of the growls. Don't get me wrong, I like them from time to time but I find it utterly exhausting to have to face them for the entire track.
Anyway, it was pretty cool to see them live. I will probably check their latest release on Spotify at least.

Since The Dark Element released a new track, I don't think AE will stau on top, though.

Björk has always been too artsy-fartsy for me and sadly, I dislike the new release.

Taylor and Loreen arw holding on well which is a surprise since no music videos have been released.

The new Evanescence track is a huge letdown

Niall's new single is flawless, though. Great debut! I hope you will learn to love it!

Sam's drop is tragic. How did his previous singles on your chart?

And yes at Anastacia making a comeback! And no, your text lies. "Fetish" CANNOT leave the charts ?

                                          • ^ oh, so this means you were already familiar with Arch Enemy? I had no idea! I only know their new stuff and one other old(er) song, i think "Nemesis" what its name. Anyways, i thought the same when i started to listen to the album, however it turned out to be more listenable than expected, and now i have no problems listening to a whole album by them (and with growls)

                                            We'll see tomorrow

I think "The Gate" is quite good, however Björk is not an artist who has a big replay value, so after the 'new single' effect in the first week i think she'll disappear quite fast on my charts...

No video needed for "Ocean Away", it's still so beautiful. A shame it never grew on you

                                            Really? I love "Imperfection"

Not sure about that. Maybe the album release will help a bit, as i'm low-key excited for "Flicker".

                                            That's Sam Smith's discography
All of his solo songs went to the Top10. That said, "Too Good At Goodbyes" is definitely doing worse than most of his other singles, and his 3rd week drop will be much more shocking than the 2nd week drop...

I'm afraid you won't be happy when it comes to "Fetish"...

Wow, so "Too Good At Goodbyes" is definitely his worst performing solo single and it's the freaking lead of his upcoming album! You really should feel in love with the track soon. At least, it got a Top 10 peak. And the beautiful music video didn't have any effect on you?

And i thought "Demons In You" by Tarja was the reason why i started to like Alissa / Arch Enemy, but damn, it was actually that concert which made me interested.

Yes, it's not performing that well so far. And believe me, you'll be shocked about its drop tomorrow Anyways, i haven't seen the video yet, as i don't check out that many videos. But my partner discovered it on my playlist yesterday and immediately loved it, and now there's a chance he'll sing it with his choir so there's a chance this may grow back on me as well

Anyways, I’m happy, the song is really good and deserved way more success than it got. At least it’s still hanging on a bit in the US and some other countries as well, so it’s not a complete flop like peaking in the first week and leaving the charts soon after the debut.
Yeah, it could've been even worse (like poor "Bon Appétit"), but this era has definitely turned out pretty shockingly for Katy's standards.

Not long until we will find it out
Yeah Admittedly, I didn't pay much attention to the Storyteller era (partially due to being really underwhelmed by "Smoke Break", and the other singles I checked out still weren't enough to reel me in.) Speaking of Wikipedia, it looks like the singles all did well at country radio, so I guess the declining market is mostly to blame for her big sales dip.

Ah, I can imagine a Shania "comeback" tour selling well, so she might still have a real chance after all! It's been a while since there was a race on the albums chart that really caught my attention, so this will be interesting to watch unfold...

;) "Focus" >>>>>>>>>> "Friends", for sure!

Yeah, even though I'm still not all that into it, it looks like I might have misjudged its hit potenital. It's up No. 71 ---> No. 61 in its third week on the Hot 100, so we shall see...

I’ll probably do the same with the upcoming promo singles though, as I don’t want to have heard half of the album when it’s out… I want everything at once…
**Nod** Definitely makes the release more exciting/helps build the hype even higher.

I'd forgotten that we still haven't gotten a proper album from her, since "Most Girls" and now "Let Me Go" feel like the start of her second "era."

                                                  • Ah, this is the same group you shared with me a while back, yeah? I didn't recognize their name when I saw it on your chart, but I recognized the singer once the video started (and especially once she started singing) The vocals are usually my favorite part of most tracks/the part that hooks me, but I think I'd prefer an instrumental version of this one...
                                                  • Magnificent jump for "Let Me Go" "Starving" never managed to crack your Top 10, so is this Hailee's first ever?
                                                  • Speaking of your Top 10, it's nice to see that "Broken Glass" is the longest-lasting track in that region now.
                                                  • Nick's so fit - if only his recent releases did as much for me as his bawdy does Both "Remember I Told You" and "Find You" fall into this "fine/OK/likable-but-also-pretty-instantly-forgettable" category. I'm not sure exactly what's lacking, they just don't make a very strong impact in either direction.
                                                  • Ha, looks like you were totally right about "Angel" outlasting "He Like That" despite the (slightly) lower peak!

                                                  Yet another soaring chart, Tansike!

                                                  • Interesting contrasts with your #1s lately! Just listening to the Arch Enemy one now and while I don't dislike the overall sound, the vocals don't really work for me. I much prefer "Avalanche" which I was "forced to" pay attention to because of FSC.

Great to see that "Ready for It..." made it to #1 last week! I didn't really think it would happen when I commented that it should be higher than "Look ...". The difference between those songs is huge for me. While "Ready for It..." seems to be stuck at #6 on my chart it could easily have gone #1 in lower competition. "Look ..." quickly went from being "not really close to the top 30" to "not anywhere near any top x, (almost) regardless of the value of x" .
