Nice to see the Eurovision slayage in March already, many songs are growing on me right now including Moldova & France.
Yay at Ava in your Top 3, think Ghost might be my favorite song from her now!
Just listened to 'Rodeo', it's cute on first listen but think I prefer 'Different Kinds of People'.

Sounds good - I hope it can become a grower for you then. It's such a good Pop song IMO

I think my stubborness with sticking to a core crew of six is a big part of why I don't enjoy modern Pokémon games as much (they definitely seem designed for us to rotate and experiment with a bigger squad).
Yes, this week already looks better... still one big thing I need to deliver at work this week and I'm nowhere near to where I should be with it, but I'm sure I'll get there!
The thing with the rotating crew is that I can discover more Pokémon through this plus I get attached more to the world of Paldea. Instead of rushing through it, I stay at some places to level up my Pokémon and that's been super fun tbh.

I still think they need to install some sort of "reset" for gym / boss battles so there's a way of playing the whole game with a completely new team once you're finished without having to reset the whole game. That would be so much fun.

I still never downloaded the DLC's for SwSh The third versions were more my thing, as I don't mind buying another game and playing through, but with SwSh I just didn't see the point of why to download that for a side storyline when I've stopped playing the main games a while ago. Overall I was slightly disappointed with the announcements on the Pokémon day, I expected more (for example also when it comes to older games being available on Switch...).

I just wish "Trustfall" was at least doing as well as "Walk Me Home" or "One Too Many" on the Hot 100 (since I like it so much better).
True! She's one of the biggest touring forces also especially from her peers, so that's great for her.
Ah, I can see that.... Trustfall at least seems to be a decent hit in some European countries. IMO Runaway would've been a better choice for the second single (also uptempo and IMO more modern & hit potential).

True! Also, yes, he is straight as far as I know.
Yep, I bought Loose back then and played it nonstop. Such a classic! Did you heard the album back then as well?

Oh god I honestly feel sorry. I mean there's so many crazy things going on in the US (as a big Drag Race fan I'm also super worried about all the Drag ban discussions) and yesterday I was just wondering how the heck is someone like Morgan Wallen this successful... have you heard something by him? Maybe his music is not all that bad... but the things he said & has done kinda make me want to ignore his music no matter what. Anyways, yes, Meghan is like so far away from being "bad" in that aspect. Even the opposite: It's always good to have fun pure Pop music back in the charts!

    • Wasn't expecting "Can't Tame Her" to start taking off ~2 months after it dropped (at least in the UK), but I'm rooting for it!
    • Poor "Miracle" Maybe Ellie can get back on track with "By The End Of The Night"
    • Emails I Can’t Send has had a decent run on your Album Chart, but has "Nonsense" not charted at all?
Yet another chart that stays on my mind, Tancel!
She does! It's still so frustrating how they handled the whole second era. First such a long break following the lead, and after that they had like no idea what to do with Ava anymore and just tried different songs without proper promo and hoped for the best? How can someone come from such a huge debut era (plus another huge hit with The Motto) and completely bomb with the second album?

Ah, love to hear that about River! I gave the album a few more chances lately... like, I really tried to spend some time with it as I was hoping for it to click more with me, it's Miley after all. But I just ended up realizing that besides the middle part with Handstand, River and Violet Chemistry, there's really nothing else that's truly above average for me on the album. It's my second least favorite album by hers, only above Breakout (though I haven't heard that one in years so if I ever check it out again, there's a chance ESV may end up being my least favorite ).

Yes yes yes so happy to see Can't Tame Her becoming a sleeper hit. It's still not in the UK Spotify Top200 which is weird as it's doing well on every other platform, but fingers crossed it appears soon and also in some more countries. If something by Zara can be another hit for her, it's probably that one. She also does some promo performances in a few talk shows etc. so it's cool to see her being out there & trying it again.

I'm a bit worried when it comes to Ellie right now because I think By The End Of The Night is one of the dullest things she's ever done

Nope, Nonsense hasn't charted (yet). Emails I Can't Send is a perfect case of an album where I enjoy the songs in part of the album, but as stand alone tracks they don't have much replay value for me. But Nonsense seems to be taking off on the charts out there, so I may give it a proper ear.

    Thank you

She did! Exactly the Ethno-Pop I was looking out for! Plus she will definitely deliver vocally. The lyrics are a mess though

Hozier keeps releasing good stuff for sure. Let's see if he can get a hit with it...

Yes! The release of the official visualizer let me move it onto the main chart. Still the song I think they need to invest more, it could be a hit.

Still having mixed feelings about the Inna song. It's just so short.

I also think it's been too long since she released something really fresh / exciting... one album that didn't fully click may have been ok, but it's been 2-3 (depending on who gets asked) now.

I am, but it seems like a lot of UKMIXers feel more like you (underwhelmed by it/see it as a more-basic step down from the Higher Than Heaven singles).

yay - especially for the Marina shoutout. She's already been better, but still a good track from her and I hope a fourth album may be coming out soon. She's been missed! Ah I can see that, from what I've seen, Loreen is not fully your taste. But that's so nice about Eurovision - there are so many songs so there's at least one song for everyone

January - March is always so super busy for me so haven't picked it up again for some time... but I ended up with around 30 Pokémon and I actually leveled them all up to the level cap before each new challenge. Takes some time but it's been super fun. So not just a team of six but basically most Water Pokémon that are available early on + some more blue-ish / water-ish Pokémon.

Yeah, I'm disappointed they weren't made available with the last big update. I was slightly underwhelmed with what they announced on Pokémon day - I also expected the DLC's to come out way earlier... I may have lost all the interest until they come out But we'll see, I'm definitely still more invested into the new games compared to many previous generations. What are your thoughts about the DLCs?

Makes sense for Cover Me In Sunshine. iirc it was also just a hit in Australia, German speaking countries and the UK maybe. More like a surprising hit. Other than that... I mean, to be fair, she's reached an age where there aren't just many Popstars scoring hits on the singles charts. She makes the most money with touring and so her trajectory makes somewhat sense. I also think it's been too long since she released something really fresh / exciting... one album that didn't fully click may have been ok, but it's been 2-3 (depending on who gets asked) now.

Haha similar situation with me too... I always liked some of her stuff but never cared to dive more into her albums until streaming made it easier. My brother had Funhouse back then and played it to death though. Maybe I'm Not Dead would be a good choice for album to still check out at some point, as it's been sooo huge... iirc the same "era" like Nelly Furtado's Loose that I absolutely adored back then.

    • I feel like such a fake/fickle fan for "rooting against" Miley, but it's honestly a relief to see that you didn't debut Endless Summer Vacation at No. 1 It reminds me of how I felt about A Star Is Born: confused by critics and fans alike being so enthusiastic about an era that feels like one of the artist's dullest
    • Did Carrie just drop a random standalone single (or might there be a Deluxe Edition of D&R on the way)?
Yet another chart that stuck with me, Tancel!
But you liked Euphoria back then? Loreen is definitely coming strong this year and could snatch another Eurovision win. So, so exciting <3

Hm, good point, that could be the case. Are you enjoying Miracle so far? I'm... not sure if I like it. I'm definitely disappointed because I Need Your Love & Outside were both awesome and among my faves by both of them.

Agreed. Meghan is one of these artists that just get a shitstorm for existing. The song also doesn't do much for me but I still hope it becomes a hit just to shut her haters up

Not us "hating" on Miley!! Who would've seen that coming? IMO the album is slightly turning into a solid grower, but it's still definitely not as good as most of her previous albums. The A Star Is Born comparison makes totally sense here, because I felt the same during that era too (and I still think Shallow is... meh). But to be fair, there are currently a bunch of good new albums being released so I'm fine with Miley not being as good as I was hoping for, so there's more room for others

Yep, it was just a random single - no word on a new album or re-release of Denim & Rhinestones.

    Thank you

UK will definitely get another solid success at Eurovision this year - though definitely not as high as Spaceman ended up.
I love me some Unicorn - it's very Blackpink-ish, and I really like their stuff too.
