Well, for me Lana rules all the time

        .

        Predictions for this week

There won't be a surprise on the top this week, because the whole Top5 will remain very stable. But there could be a few changes inside the Top5.

Outside the Top5, there won't be that much new things too. "Parking Lot" by Nelly Furtado and "Stay On" by Tinkabelle could debut, but both outside the Top10.

On the album charts, the Frankenweenie Soundtrack will make a big debut. But apart of that, there also won't be that much too.

So yeah... it won't be the most interesting week, but of course every song and album will move a little bit.

        • Pleased to see those three debuts crashing in your Top 3! "Diamonds" is my fave of the three but the other two are fantastic too.

Great to see "Video Games" still going strong and fantastic chart overall!

            Unfortuantely, no.
I don't have the time to make my own charts, let alone to update them. :/

              • It is always # | Last Week | Time In | Highest Position - Artist - Song or Album

While the Top3 last week was full of new entries, there isn’t a new entry in the whole Top10 this week. The songs in the Top5 are the same like last week. “Ride” gets a second week on top of the Singles Charts, while “Die Young” and “Diamonds” switch places, with “Die Young” getting a new peak (3-2) and “Diamonds” falls down one spot (2-3).

While “This Kiss” and “Stardust” both remain stable this week at #4 and #5, there are some gainers outside the Top5. “Chasing The Sun” (8-6) and “Video Games” (9-7) both gain two places, while “Blown Away” comes back into the Top10 (11-8). “Euphoria” is also increasing (10-9) and is now charting for the 30th week. It’s just the fourth song to do so this year, after three singles by Lana Del Rey: “Blue Jeans” (31 weeks), “Born To Die” (35 weeks) and “Video Games” (40 weeks, still charting).

The last song in the Top10 is “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, which falls 7-10. Maybe it’s last week in the upper half of the charts?

Outside the Top10, there are two new entries. The first one is “Stay On” by the Swiss-group Tinkabelle at #16. It’s their second single in my charts, after “The Man I Need” which peaked at #10and charted for 7 weeks in 2011. While their last album “Highway” got a Gold certification last year, “Stay On” is the first single from their second album “On My Way”, which will be released later this year. The other new entry is “Parking Lot” by Nelly Furtado two places lower at #18. It’s the third single of her #2-peaking album “The Spirit Indestructible” and her lowest entry ever so far.

While there are three big gainers this week (“Good Time” from 16-12, “Summertime Sadness” from 18-14 and “Anything Could Happen” from 19-15), there are also three big loosers this week. “Into The Sun” is still falling. Last week it was the first time ever outside the Top10 and now already really low (12-17), but also “As Long As You Love Me” (14-19) and “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)” (15-20) looses many places.

On the album charts, there wasn’t a move on the first two places. That means that “KISS” by Carly Rae Jepsen is on top for the third consecutive week. It’s already the 7th album this year to be on top for at least three weeks, after “Born To Die” by Lana Del Rey (12 weeks at #1), “Imaginaerum” by Nightwish (6 weeks at #1), The Soundtrack for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 (4 weeks at #1), “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” by Nicki Minaj (3 weeks at #1), “Life In A Beautiful Light” by Amy MacDonald (3 weeks at #1) and “The Midsummer Station” by Owl City (3 weeks at #1).

Nelly Furtado’s “The Spirit Indestructible” also remains stable at #2, being there for the third consecutive week too. Right behind her, there’s the only new entry this week. The soundtrack for Tim Burton’s new movie “Frankenweenie” makes it’s debut at #3. Apart from the Eurovision Song Contest soundtracks, it’s just the second soundtrack ever on my charts, after “Almost Alice” (#2 in 2010), which was the soundtrack for “Alice In Wonderland”, also a movie by Tim Burton.

“Talk That Talk” leaves the charts this week. Since there will be a new album by Rihanna very soon, it’s possible that last week was the last week for the album on my charts and it won’t come back.

                    • First of all I wanna congratulate "Euphoria" for its 30th week on your chart! That's really impressive and I really like you for that!

                      Your chart is flawless again.
That said, I have to admit that I haven't listened to "Ride" and "Die Young" yet. I'm still waitin' for their releases on German iTunes.

Nice to see "Summertime Sadness" is not dead!

Nice to see Rihanna and Taylor.

Thanks! Yes it's really impressive. I just saw that there were only 12 songs since 2007 which charted for 30 weeks or more

Oh, "Die Young" isn't released in Germany yet? In Switzerland, it is. Sadly, "Ride" isn't released here too :x Hope they release it as soon as possible and you like it

Yes, 52 weeks very soon... It's already the second longest charting song in my charts ever, but there's still a long way to be the longest one. Currently, the longst charting song was 69 in my charts

If Taylor falls as fast as in the last two weeks, it goes around 4-5 weeks until she reaches Gold.

                                    Predictions for this week

While the Top3 was very competitive the last two weeks, it could change this week. The reason is Eurovision Song Contest winner Loreen, who releases her second international single "My Heart Is Refusing Me" today. As her winning-track "Euphoria" was a huge hit on my charts, it's to expect to see the new song debuting very high.

Both, "Stay On" by TinkaBelle and "Anything Could Happen" by Ellie Goulding could reach the Top10 for the first time. Ellie will also debut with her album. And since i'm totally surprised how amazing the album is, it is to expect to debut very high too.

The finnish band Nightwish just announced that they and the current front-woman Anette Olzon will take apart. That's a reason enough to see their current album "Imaginaerum" coming back to the Album Top10 this week.

                                            • It is always # | Last Week | Time In | Highest Position - Artist - Song or Album

While Lana Del Rey were on top the last two weeks, there is a new song on top this week. Eurovision Song Contest winner Loreen has one of the biggest hit of this year so far with “Euphoria”. Now she released her next single “My Heart Is Refusing Me”, which makes it’s debut on top of the Singles Top20.

Now it’s the question if the song will be as successful as “Euphoria” or not. A #1-debut is very good, but longevity is what matters the most. “Euphoria” for example took 12 weeks until it reached the top spot and is still in the Top10 this week, moving 9-7 in it’s 31st week.

So after two weeks, “Ride” is falling one spot (1-2). “Die Young” is also falling one spot, completing the Top3 this week (2-3).

While “This Kiss” remains surprisingly stable this week (4-4; it’s the third week at #4), “Diamonds” already falls out of the Top3 after only two weeks (3-5). Two big gainers are coming into the Top10 for the first time this week. The first one is “Anything Could Happen” by Ellie Goulding, which moves 15-6. It’s her second Top10 hit, after “Hanging On”, which peaked at #2 earlier this year. The other one is “Stay On” by TinkaBelle, which moves 16-8 in it’s second week. With this, the new single outpeaked their previous highest-peaking single “The Man I Need”, which peaked at #10.

Outside the Top10, there is one new entry and two re-entries. The new entry is “Low On Air”, the new single by the group 77 Bombay Street. The songs makes a moderate debut at #14 and is their first single notation. The two re-entries are two songs by charts-empress Lana Del Lay. Both, “Blue Jeans” and “Born To Die” are coming back after a few weeks of absent. So there are five songs by Lana in the whole Top20 this week…

In the Album Top10 is also a new entry on top. The second album by Ellie Goulding, called “Halcyon”, is making a big debut at #1. It’s her first entry in the Album Charts, so this is a great feature. Also new is “Oko Town” by 77 Bombay Street, debuting at #3. “Born To Die” completes the Top3, moving 4-2.

There’s also a re-entry in the Album Top10. Nightwish announced last week, that they and their current front-woman Anette Olzon will take apart. This news brings their current album “Imaginaerum” back to the charts at #9.

                                              week 41/2012 – 11 October 2012

"Video Games" decreased? breaking news! I really hope "Summertime Sadness" won't leave the chart anytime soon!

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is on its way to leave the chart. It's been decreasing for weeks.
