After the Top3 debut from last week, pop princess Selena Gomez gets her seventh number one hit as “The Heart Wants What It Wants” increases 3-1. Only one other number one single from her didn’t start there; “Round And Round” back in summer 2010, and it also went up 3-1 in its second week. Unfortunately, it became her only chart topping hit with just one week on top and her second least successful single so far, so let’s hope “The Heart Wants What It Wants” gets another destiny.
Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding rise 5-2 with “Outside” while last weeks chart topper Ariana Grande and The Weeknd are down 1-3 with “Love Me Harder”. Nicole Scherzinger really seems to have a new hit on her hand as “Run” keeps on climbing, up 6-4 this week. It’s already her most successful single from the current album “Big Fat Lie” and has the chances to become one of her most successful singles ever. Gwen Stefani’s “Baby Don’t Lie” falls 2-5 in its third week, followed by the first new entry this week. Mark Ronson is a producer and a big name, especially in the UK. After a long time, he finally announced a new single and it features Bruno Mars, one of the biggest hit scorer from the last four years (in fact, next week four years ago he debuted at #9 with his first entry ever: “Just The Way You Are”!). The song is called “Uptown Funk” and enters the charts at #6; Mark’s first entry and Bruno’s tenth overall, ninth Top10 appearance. Ariana Grande celebrates the 20th week on the charts with “Break Free” and even gets a second entry in the Top10 as the hit increases 14-7. Jessie J’s “Burnin’ Up” remains at #8, followed by Lindsey Stirling’s “Roundtable Rival” (4-9) and “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran (9-10).
Lindsey Stirling falls out of the Top10 with the former top hit “Master Of Tides” (7-11), also out of the Top10 is Conchita Wurst’s ESC follow-up “Heroes” (10-20). Elsewhere in the Top20, Passenger reaches a new peak with both of his entries, as “Heart’s On Fire” is up 15-12 and “Scare Away The Dark” rises 18-13. Mrs. Greenbird get a second Top20 notation with “Everyone’s The Same” (28-15), while Nick Jonas is back at #18 with “Jealous”.
Obviously, several songs fall out of the upper half, three to be exact. Canadian newcomer Kiesza is down 19-21 with “No Enemiesz”, and despite not peaking too high (#16), it’s showing some good stabilty so far. Imagine Dragons leave the Top20 after just two weeks with “I Bet My Life” (17-22), while Lindsey Stirling’s “Crystallize” falls 16-26. The new live album “Let Us Burn” by Within Temptation brings two hits from the band back to the charts; current single “And We Run” re-enters at #24 and one of their first releases ever – “Mother Earth” – is back at #30. Despite being officially released in 2003, the song made the charts for the first time earlier this year due to their concert over here.
Apart from “Uptown Funk” there are three more new entries on the charts this week. Nick Jonas gets a second entry on the Singles Top40 as “Chains” debuts at #29. The last two debuts are on the bottom of the charts with Nickelback being new at #37 with “What Are You Waiting For?” and Pharrell Williams gets a fourth entry from his album “G I R L” as “Gust Of Wind” debuts at #40. Two of the biggest hits of this year have to leave the charts: Anette Olzon’s “Lies” and Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”.
Mrs. Greenbird are the biggest climber with “Everyone’s The Same” while Invader Girl’s “Starting Fires” is the biggest loser for the second consecutive week (27-38).

Album Top20
What a week for dutch symphonic metal/rock band Within Temptation! And an even better week for their fans, as it’s definitely like christmas for them. After the re-release of “Enter” and “The Dance” last week on tuesday, the band also released their new live album “Let Us Burn” on friday, which makes it straight to the top of the charts. It’s already their third number one entry on the album charts after their fifth album “The Unforgiving” (two weeks in 2011) and their sixth album “Hydra” (six weeks earlier this year). With eight entries on the album charts overall, they exceed their lead as the artist with the most entries on the Album Top20. And there’s even another record, as all eight albums charted in at least one week this year, with all of them except “The Unforgiving” making their debut in 2014!
It was a real surprise and it didn’t look like that last week, but both “Enter” (7-2) and “The Dance” (8-3) are in the Top3 this week as well, so the band owns the whole Top3. Their current studio album “Hydra” benefits a lot from the mania around them, coming back 14-7 in its 42nd week.
Nicole Scherzinger’s “Big Fat Lie” remains stable at #4, followed by Jessie J who slips 3-5 with “Sweet Talker”. The latter is certified with Gold this week. Taylor Swift is down 2-6 with “1989”, while Passenger misses to get a new peak due to the surprising Within Temptation reign and falls 6-8 again. The biggest fall from the top spot goes to Mrs. Greenbird as their second album “Postcards” tumbles 1-9 while Ariana Grande’s “My Everything” closes the Top10 (9-10).
Lindsey Stirling’s “Shatter Me” falls 5-12 and is now as low as never before. Her self titled debut album also drops a lot, down 11-17 this week. After four weeks, Sunrise Avenue’s best of “Fairytales” falls out of the Top10 for the first time (10-15), but that’s already a lot better than their last (and only) charting studio album “Unholy Ground” which spent two weeks in the Top10 and only three in the Top20 in total. Two other albums are worth a mention. US singer Nick Jonas gets his first album entry as his self-titled album debuts at #13, while Within Temptation’s second album from 2003 called “Mother Earth” makes a little comeback at #14 and celebrates its 20th week on the charts.

Airplay Top10
While Within Temptation clearly makes the biggest impact on the Airplay Top10 as well, it’s Selena Gomez who still owns the crown. “The Heart Wants What It Wants” spends a second week on top, but it only got 39 plays – one of the lowest plays at number one ever. Still, number one is number one.
While their debut album “Enter” is stronger on the album charts, it’s the title track from their EP “The Dance” which makes the biggest debut for Within Temptation this week (#2), followed by “Restless”, their debut single from 1997. Obviously, their new top album “Let Us Burn” brings some entries as well, and all of them are from the first half; “Candles” is new at #4, “The Last Dance” debuts at #6, “Say My Name” enters the charts at #7, “Mother Earth” at #8 and “Sinéad” closes the Top10. Their last entry on the charts is “Enter” at #5
The last song on the charts is “Run”, the current hit from Nicole Scherzinger. While the song reaches the Top5 on the singles charts, it enters the airplay charts at #9.
Plays of the Top10 went down by 66 to 213 (-23.7%) compared to last week.
I enjoy these singles:
1 (3) Selena Gomez – The Heart Wants What It Wants
2 (5) Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding – Outside
5 (2) Gwen Stefani – Baby Don’t Lie
6 (NEW) Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk

I am not trying to seduce you... Would you like me to seduce you? Is that what you're trying to tell me?
For the Albums, It's really good how Jessie J's latest release can still hold on pretty well plus the third consecutive week in the Top 10 for Passenger is also good! Is Scare Away the Dark the new single btw?

"Outside" really got me now! Hopefully another worldwide hit for them. And "Heart's On Fire" is really good, never expected to like a song from him that much
Yes, Jessie's album is fantastic IMO! I even like it more than her debut now and i loved it back then... as for Passenger, i didn't expect Within Temptation to slay that much, hence no new peak this week. And next week looks busy as well But it's his first album entry ever, so he's doing pretty good and the album is obviously pretty good as well
"Scare Away The Dark" was actually the first single, "Heart's On Fire" the second

Yes, the song got me again Definitely one of the top songs this year for me
Yes! Fantastic #1! Hope that Selena's latest single will be able to spend more than just one single week being your #1!
Their performance at the AMAs was just stunning! She's never sounded THAT amazing on stage!
Ariana Grande's great, as well. I'm quite late to recognize her but I am glad I bought the album last month. I almost like every track. "Love Me Harder" is just awesome. Hope it will be a huge hit on your chart!
Nice re-entry for Nick ****able Jonas and I love to see "And We Run" back on your chart! Quite untouched.. one of the best tracks of 2014.
Can't handle that WT perfection of your album chart! Poor Silent Force.

Glad to have a comment, especially that week, as you love Selena AND Within Temptation as well <3
As for Selena, after that flawless AMA performance the chances for another week at number one are very big...
Great to know you like Ariana's album. Which are your favorite tracks?
Agree about "And We Run"... still a good track.

It's really good! Unfortunately, the competition this week seems to be big, so a new peak is currently unlikely ...
week 48/2014 – 27 november 2014 Busy week for Albums (Selena, David, Olly)
Singles Top40
While it was a very busy week on the higher positions on the album charts, most songs from the Top 10 aren’t moving that many places. And so a very rare thing happens as the whole Top3 remains exactly the same as it was last week. This means Selena Gomez’ new single “The Heart Wants What I Wants” gets a second week atop. The song got another push due to her fantastic performance at the American Music Awards. “Outside” by Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding gets a second week behind Selena while Ariana Grande’s “Love Me Harder” rounds up the Top3 again.
The highest of six new entries just misses the Top3 and debuts at #4. It’s “Dangerous”, the new single by David Guetta and the follow-up to the #2-peaking “Lovers On The Sun”. Nicole Scherzinger’s “Run” slips 4-5, Gwen Stefani’s “Baby Don’t Lie” is also down one place (5-6). Jessie J’s “Burnin’ Up” (8-7) and Ariana Grande’s “Break Free” (7-8) switch places. The other two entries in the Top10 are two new songs. The fourth official single from Indila’s debut album is called “Love Story” and becomes also her fourth Top10 entry, debuting at #9. If this remains its peak, it would be her lowest-peaking song so far after “Derničre danse” (#1), “Tourner dans le vide” (#3) and “S.O.S” (#6). Nick Jonas gets his first Top10 notation as “Jealous” increases 18-10, surpassing the #12-peak it previously had.
After only one week, “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars already falls 6-11. But Bruno is more popular due to his longevity and not due to his high peaks, so there’s still a big chance to see the song getting some good success. Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” leaves the Top10 for the first time in its seventh week, which means that it spent one more week in the Top10 than the previous two singles “Sing” and “Don’t”. Also out of the Top10 from the last time is Lindsey Stirling’s former top hit “Roundtable Rival”, which drops a lot this week (9-16). Just five week after the surprisingly successful “You Can Never Be Ready” (17-22), finnish pop rock band Sunrise Avenue already released the follow-up from their first best of “Fairytales”. The new single is called “Nothing Is Over”, debuts at #14 and becomes their seventh Top20-notation. Despite the new album release, Olly Murs’ current single “Wrapped Up” fails to get a new peak, but still get a big boost by increasing 36-18. Another new entry finds its way to the Top20; swiss pop band Pegasus’ new single “Last Night On Earth” starts at #19, becoming their second Top20 entry so far after the previous single “I Take It All” which peaked at #16 in its second charting week.
Taylor Swift’s “Out Of The Woods” leaves the upper half of the charts after three weeks (16-23), same for Conchita Wurst’s “Heroes” (20-27), Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” (19-29) and Mrs. Greenbird’s “Everyone’s The Same” (15-30). There are even two more new entries and also two re-entries in the lower half of the charts. Passenger’s “27”, which served as a promo single from his current album “Whispers”, joins “Heart’s On Fire” (12-12) and “Scare Away The Dark” (13-15) as his third entry at #21, while Coldplay get a new entry as their new single “Ink” debuts at #39. The two re-entries are both by Selena Gomez and her former band The Scene. Her two biggest hits “A Year Without Rain” (#28) and “Love You Like A Love Song” (#38) are back due to her new best of compilation “For You”.
Olly Murs’ “Wrapped Up” is the biggest climber. Meanwhile, after being the biggest climber last week, Mrs. Greenbird’s “Everyone’s The Same” is the biggest loser this time.

Album Top20
It was a busy week with three new entries by pretty big names, plus Within Temptation were still very strong with their releases. But in the end there’s only one number one, and it’s Selena Gomez who got it this week. Her new released best of compilation “For You” is her fifth and last record under Hollywood Records and also already her fifth chart topper, following “Kiss & Tell” (4 weeks in 2010), “A Year Without Rain” (7 weeks in 2010), “When The Sun Goes Down” (10 weeks in 2011) and “Stars Dance” (5 weeks in 2013). Now she ties Lady GaGa and Tarja as the artist with most number one albums, but gets the crown easily as she spent the most weeks at number one by far.
While Within Temptation slips 1-2 with “Let Us Burn”, french DJ David Guetta enters the charts at #3 with his new album “Listen”. The album spawned the two Top5-hit “Lovers On The Sun” and “Dangerous” so far (both featuring Sam Martin) and becomes Guetta’s third Top3 entry on the Album Top20 and fourth overall after “One Love” (#8 in 2010), “Nothing But The Beat” (#1 in 2011) and “Nothing But The Beat 2.0” (#2 in 2012). The third new entry comes in right behind David at #4; Olly Murs’ new album “Never Been Better”. The star from the UK got his first appearance on the album charts in early 2013 with “Right Place Right Time”, which started also at number four and rose to its peak at number three in its second week. So the debut for “Never Been Better” is definitely a promising start as “Right Place Right Time” spawned two Top10 hits with “Troublemaker” and “Dear Darlin’”, while his current single has yet to reach the Top10...
Within Temptation still have two more entries in the Top10 with “Enter” (2-5) and “The Dance” (3-7), but both are decreasing this week just like “Hydra” which falls out of the Top10 (7-11). Nicole Scherzinger’s “Big Fat Lie” is down 4-6 in its fifth week, leaving the Top5 for the first time just like Jessie J who is down 5-8 with “Sweet Talker” after six weeks. Due to her current hit, Ariana Grande’s album “My Everything” remains stable in the Top10, up 10-9, while Taylor Swift falls 6-10 with “1989”.
After three weeks, singer-songwriter Passenger falls out of the Top10 with “Whispers”, down 8-12. He’s still doing pretty good compared to his weak start. Mrs. Greenbird, who make quite similar music, are disappointing with their chartrun so far as their second album “Postcards” falls 9-14 in its third week – by far the worst performance for a top album so far.
There’s not that much action in the lower parts of the charts. Nick Jonas’ self-titled album remains at #13 after the low debut last week and is likely to get a new peak next week, while Anette Olzon’s “Shine” is as low as never before (11-15).

Airplay Top10
Charts princess Selena gets a third week on top of the Airplay Top10 with “The Heart Wants What It Wants” which got 42 plays over the last seven days, which is a few more than last week. Its closest rival comes from Within Temptation who rise 4-2 with the live version of “Candles”, an album track from their debut “Enter”. This track has a length of seven minutes, so its 32 plays is pretty impressive. Closing the Top3 is “Outside” by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding which re-enters the charts at #3.
Ariana Grande is back at #4 with her former top hit “Love Me Harder”. While three songs from Within Temptation have to leave the charts this time, they still own the most songs on the charts with five entries. Apart from the already mentioned “Candles”, they still have “The Last Dance” (6-5), “Say My Name” (7-6) and “Mother Earth” (8-8) from the current live album “Let Us Burn” charting plus “The Dance” (2-7) from the EP with the same name.
Gwen Stefani is back at #9 with “Baby Don’t Lie”, while the first and only new entry comes in at #10 with “Dangerous” by David Guetta and Sam Martin. The song only got eight plays, and only made it to the charts due to low plays overall. Nick Jonas’ “Jealous” which made the Top10 on the Singles Top40 just missed to make the same move on the Airplay Top10; it got seven plays, one play too less.
Plays of the Top10 went down by 24 to 189 (-11.3%) compared to last week. It’s the first week this year when the Top10 got less than 200 plays, even the one when I was on vacation got 204 plays.
10 (NEW) David Guetta feat. Sam Martin – Dangerous *8 plays*
Chart Run: *10*- / 1w
Out of Top10 Out (3) Within Temptation – Restless *6 plays* (1w)
Out (5) Within Temptation – Enter *5 plays* (1w)
Out (9) Nicole Scherzinger – Run *5 plays* (1w)
Out (10) Within Temptation – Sinéad (Elements Live in Concert) *6 plays* (1w)
Great #1. Selena really surprised me with this song. For me, it' s her best song to date along with "Slow Down".
Also cool to see Indila chart so high, but "Love Story" isn't one of my favorites of hers.
