Back to topic, I don't know most of your chart, but I love that Gwen debuted that high, this seems like a real return to form for her musically and I hope the album is gonna be in the same vein!
Aawww now that's REALLY sweet of you. Thanks a lot!!

I knew you would like Gwen's entry. It's a shame she can't get a hit these days, so i really hope "Make Me Like You" will be a big one for her. She deserves it!

I listened to Lissie's album, not just because it's #1 on your chart but also because I liked one of her songs in 2013, "Sleepwalking" (although it never quite reached my chart). Unfortunately I found the album rather boring and all of the songs sounded almost the same.

I'm not familiar with Sophie Hunger, will check her out later.
Her track is pretty good. Unfortunately, the competition will be pretty big this week so she will already leave my charts this week...
    Thanks, glad you like these

Oh to be honest i only knew a very few tracks from her but still checked "My Wild West" out and was surprised at how much i like(d) it.
I don't think you will like Sophie Hunger then, as she's actually a bit similar to Lissie when it comes to the music. Just as a short information: she's one of the biggest artists in Switzerland of the last few years, and one of the VERY few ones who get some chart success outside of Switzerland as well (France, Germany, Austria, Belgium...)

week 08/2016 – 25 february 2016 The Queen is back

      • Singles Top40

Estonian charts empress Kerli finally released her long awaited comeback single called „Feral Hearts“. The single is the first song from her upcoming, yet untitled third studio album, which will be released in september this year, and there’ll be two or even three more singles this year before the album drops. „Feral Hearts“ is her first appearance as a solo artist since she debuted at number one with „The Lucky Ones“ in autumn 2012, but she also had four appearances with other artists since then with „Stardust“ together with tyDi (2014), „Worlds Apart“ with Seven Lions (2014), „Raindrops“ with SNBRN (2015) and „Build The Cities“ with Karma Fields (2015). In total, „Feral Hearts“ is her tenth charts appearance, with five of them being as a solo artist, and five being together with other artists, and all of those ten singles reached the top spot. The song accumulated nearly 200 plays since its release last friday according to LastFM, making it my most played song of the year so far after only one week!

The second highest new entry also makes it into the Top3, but that one is a bit more surprising as it comes from the german band The BossHoss, who never got an entry on my charts so far, despite being in the music business for over a decade now. Their newest single is „Jolene“, an obvious Dolly Parton cover, and features dutch country band The Common Linnets. The song debuts at #3, even outpeaking The Common Linnets’ ESC hit „Calm After The Storm“, which peaked at #4 back in 2014. Swedish hit maker Tove Lo is also back on the charts, as her newest single „Scars“ debuts at #16 as her fourth Top20 hit. Lissie, who just got her first number one album a week ago, now also enters the singles charts, as the two singles „Hero“ (#18) and „Don’t You Give Up On Me“ (#34) find their way to the charts.

It was a very busy week, as there are three more new entries, so a total of eight new entries are on the charts. FKA twigs had her first appearance on the album last year with „M3LL155X“, and this week she’s finally getting also her first appearance on the singles charts as „Good To Love“ debuts at #27. The last two entries are much lower though, as they come in at #38 and #40. The Chainsmokers had a novelty hit back in 2014 with „#SELFIE“, and i guess no one expected them to get a follow-up hit, but that’s actually what happens right now, as „Roses“ seems to become a worldwide hit, and also debuts at #38 on my charts. Kendrick Lamar closes this weeks chart with his very first notation ever on my charts, as „Alright“ benefits from his Grammy performance and arrives at #40 as the last new entry.

Alan Walker slips to number two with „Faded“, which spent two weeks on top (1-2). Mike Posner stays at number four for another week with „I Took A Pill In Ibiza“, followed by Lenka’s „Blue Skies“ (2-5) and Coldplay, who are back to their peak with „Hymn For The Weekend“ (7-6). Dua Lipa finally gets her first Top10 hit as „Be The One“ increases 11-7. Anette Olzon’s „Vintersjäl“ (5-8) and Grimes’ „Kill V. Maim“ (6-9) keep on decreasing, while Gwen Stefani’s „Make Me Like You“ is already down 3-10 in her second week on the charts.

Of Monsters And Men keep on increasing with „Wolves Without Teeth“, as the song is up 18-12 this week. Meanwhile, after getting new peaks every week as well, Banks’ „Better“ probably peaked now and starts to fall a bit, as it’s down 13-15. After five consecutive weeks, Ellie Goulding’s „Something In The Way You Move“ leaves the Top10 for the first time (10-13), just when her second entry „Army“ also leaves the Top20 for the first time (16-22). Inna’s summer hit „Rendez Vous“ drops 9-20 as expected, as she’s not very well known when it comes to longevity. Kendrick Lamar is not the only one who benefits from the Grammy, as both The Weeknd and Taylor Swift also performed their singles, and both, „In The Night“ by The Weeknd (27-24) and „Out Of The Woods“ by Taylor Swift (33-28), gain some places now. Last worthy thing is something about „Pillowtalk“. The debut single by former One Direction member Zayn had a weak start, but increases 40-33 now, and is likely to go even further next week.

Zayn’s „Pillowtalk“ is the biggest climber, while Rihanna’s „Work“ tumbles down 25-39 as the biggest loser of the week, despite or probably more because of the video release.

      • Album Top20

There are several new and re-entries on the Album Top20, but the competition was still not really that strong, and so it happens that Lissie gets a second week at number one with her album „My Wild West“, after getting already a surprising top debut a week ago. Her closest rival came from Anette Olzon, who is back up 5-2 with „Shine“ in its incredible 80th week on the charts. It’s the albums highest position since it went back to number two a year ago due to the single release of its title track back then. Closing the Top3 is Foxes, who slips 2-3 with her second studio album „All I Need“.

Sia leaves the Top3 after three weeks, as „This Is Acting“ is down 3-4. It’s still higher than the peak of her previous album though. The first new entry comes in at #5 and belongs to Amy Lee. The frontwoman of Evanescence released an EP called „Recover, Vol. 1“ last friday as a little surprise release, which contains four cover songs. The debut at #5 is already her second arrival as a solo artist on my charts, as she already debuted and peaked at #2 with „Aftermath“ back in 2014. Only one position below is already the second and last new entry of the week, coming from Kendrick Lamar. The rapper gets his first notation ever with „To Pimp A Butterfly“, which benefits a lot from the Grammy which were held last week. As if this wasn’t enough, another position below there’s Kerli with a first re-entry this week. Her second release „Utopia“ was a huge success back in 2013, and still showed some success in 2014. Due to her new single „Feral Hearts“, the album returns to #7. Sophie Hunger drops 4-8 with „Supermoon“, followed by Grimes’ „Art Angels“ (6-9) and Ellie Goulding’s „Delirium“ (7-10), the latter should jump a lot next week due to her upcoming concert this sunday.

As if the Top10 wouldn’t be busy enough, there’s also a lot going on in the second part of the charts. Taylor Swift just won her second Album of the Year Grammy award for „1989“, which was well deserved in my opinion, and now also returns to my charts at #11. Kerli’s debut album „Love Is Dead“ also returns to the charts at #14, while Carrie Underwood’s current album „Storyteller“ is back at #16. Due to these new and re-entries, there are obviously some bigger drops as well. Adele leaves the Top10 for the first time with „25“ after a 13-week run (10-12), and Lenka’s „The Bright Side“ falls 8-15. The most horrible drop goes to Rihanna though, who already leaves the Top20 with „Anti“ after only three weeks.

            • Kerli's new song is for sure on the first masterpieces this year!

Wow I'm surprised at your love for "Jolene" I think The BossHoss and The Common Linnets make some way too cheesy stuff here

I have the feeling Gwen will fall on my chart as well ...

Amazing to see the new Tove Lo song on your chart, I was expecting I'm the only one who intended to chart it

Well, I quite liked liked Zayn's song at the beginning, but I don't feel like it will have longevity with me ...

I expect to see someone special re-entering next week ;)

                  • I can't comment too much here because there's lots I need to check out. I didn't know Amy Lee had an EP? I must check that out tomorrow. I also need to spend some more time listening to Anette's solo material. I think I checked Shine out, but I'm certainly not familiar with it. I love Lissie, but again, I must play the album more to get an informed opinion on it. And I really should check out Kerli. She's always in your chart somewhere.

Anyway, you know I admire your music taste, so good job.

                      • Hey Tansike

Here are my highlights from your new chart.

1 (NEW) Kerli – Feral Hearts
                        Chart Run: *1*- / 1w

Amazing debut at #1 although i think it was inevitable as i know how much you love Kerli. I'm so glad i discovered Raindrops last year as that both introduced me to a fantastic dance track but also Kerli who i had never heard of before then. I'm sure you will be delighted to discover Feral hearts as my highest new entry of the week. The music video is stunning and the song is so good.

                        2 (1) Alan Walker – Faded
                        Chart Run: *1*-1-2- / 3w

We share the same #2 this week but that's purely down to me loving my top 2 at the moment so much and felt that twenty one pilots deserved at least one week as my #1 song.

                        4 (4) Mike Posner – I Took A Pill In Ibiza
                        Chart Run: 13-*4*-4- / 3w

Have you seen the music video yet? It's quite funny to watch although i thought they would've made it a bit more exciting. Looks like that music video effect won't be as strong as its been with other songs.

6 (7) Coldplay – Hymn For The Weekend
                        Chart Run: *6*-8-7-6- / 4w

A few songs had a boost in my top 20 this week thanks to the Brit awards last week, and Coldplay have climbed back into my top 5. I know we're barely in March but already i'm loving how 2016 is going music wise even if the songs i've been loving were all released in 2015. I hope this continues for the rest of the year.

16 (NEW) Tove Lo – Scars
                        Chart Run: *16*- / 1w

Tove Lo also enters my chart too and similarly low top 20 for me as well. I don't think this is going to be successful in the same way Habits (stay high) was in 2014.

32 (35) Little Mix feat. Jason DeRulo – Secret Love Song
                        Chart Run: 39-35-*32*- / 3w

Still climbing which is so lovely to see.

38 (NEW) The Chainsmokers – Roses
                        Chart Run: *38*- / 1w

Ah yes, you did mention in my chart thread Roses would just make your top 40. It's still climbing incredibly slowly up my chart which means its probably going to peak now or have a massive boost into my top 5. We shall see next week.

                          • Aw. A bit sad to see "Faded" fall from the top just as I'm starting to get into it, but your new No. 1 is pretty interesting. It's the first thing I've ever checked out from Kerli.
                          • I listened to the the "Scars" preview on iTunes a few days ago and wasn't too impressed, but maybe I should give it another chance or two. "Habits", "Talking Body", "Timebomb", + "My Gun" were all pretty big hits on my chart - how'd they do here?
                          • Glad to see "Pillowtalk" move up this week, but OUCH @ 1D never managing to go any higher than No. 15 They've racked up nine No. 1's on my chart.
                          • Poor "Work" but I'm thankful that it didn't fall off completely! It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm really glad that it became yet another Hot 100 No. 1 for her.

                          Yet another supreme chart, Tansike!

I wish Kerli's song was as good as the video but it's still a good song, although I don't know yet if it will reach my chart (surely not this week...). The #3 sounded good Thursday night but I'm not sure I'm going to listen to the studio version (usually not too fond of covers).

Wait, did you just mention "rapper" and "Grammy" in the same sentence? I always thought Grammy awards was for actual music .

Good to see Carrie Underwood's album back on the albums chart!

I really love it, however i feel like i've already played this a bit too often...

I loved "Jolene" when i discovered it last week. I also loved their performance on the german ESC preselection. But i'm already starting to get over it, so #3 will most likely be its peak.

Yeah, i hope the album will give the song some staying power. I'm a bit shocked how fast i'm getting over "Make Me Like You" to be honest

It's a nice pop song, glad you like it too! It's not as strong as some stuff on her debut though...
I feel the same when it comes to Zayn's song and its longevity...

Yeah that EP was a surprise release, i was surprised as well when i saw her on the iTunes chart. It only contains four cover songs though. It's still great to hear her voice again
I loved Anette's album. Hope you will find some time to listen to it at some point. Lissie's new album is great. Actually my first album by her that i listened in full. Kerli is great, my favorite artist. I hope you will like her new single "Feral Hearts", if you get the time to check it out

We share the same #2 this week but that's purely down to me loving my top 2 at the moment so much and felt that twenty one pilots deserved at least one week as my #1 song.
That's cool And you'll be pleased about the new week as twenty one pilots will finally enter my charts as well...

Have you seen the music video yet? It's quite funny to watch although i thought they would've made it a bit more exciting. Looks like that music video effect won't be as strong as its been with other songs.
No i haven't. I rarely care about music videos these days... but i'll check it out!

Unfortunately i was busy watching new episodes of Grey's Anatomy ( ) so i only saw a very few minutes of the Brit Awards and the ending, so i missed Coldplay's performance. But i heard it wasn't that good?
Yeah i agree, the year has been fantastic when it comes to music so far!

Tove Lo also enters my chart too and similarly low top 20 for me as well. I don't think this is going to be successful in the same way Habits (stay high) was in 2014.
Same with me. And while "Scars" is a nice pop song, it will drop a lot this week...

Ah yes, you did mention in my chart thread Roses would just make your top 40. It's still climbing incredibly slowly up my chart which means its probably going to peak now or have a massive boost into my top 5. We shall see next week.
That's good Unfortunately it probably won't do much on my charts as someone else will have several re-entries on my charts this week, so several songs have to suffer a bit and "Roses" is one of them.

I think "Faded" will stay strong for a long time to be honest. And yay, glad you think "Feral Hearts" is interesting Kerli is my favorite artist and she's awesome <3 So you don't know "Walking On Air"? It's her most popular single and was released back in 2008.

Oh "Scars" is a nice pop song IMO but obviously not as strong as most stuff on her debut.
Habits peaked at #4 and stayed on the charts for 8 weeks, "Talking Body" peaked at #9 with 4 weeks on the charts and "Timebomb" peaked at #19 and left the charts after only one week. So her singles didn't do that well, but her album peaked at #2, stayed on the charts for 9 weeks and got certified with Gold which is actually pretty good for a debut album on my charts I wish she released "The Way That I Am" as a single though...

Wow that sounds impressive for them on your charts! I think you'll be a bit disappointed by the tracks by Zayn & Rihanna this week...

                                    Thanks a lot

I wish Kerli's song was as good as the video but it's still a good song, although I don't know yet if it will reach my chart (surely not this week...). The #3 sounded good Thursday night but I'm not sure I'm going to listen to the studio version (usually not too fond of covers).

Wait, did you just mention "rapper" and "Grammy" in the same sentence? I always thought Grammy awards was for actual music .

Good to see Carrie Underwood's album back on the albums chart!
Glad to hear you really like the video of Kerli! I hope the song also grows a bit on you
I loved the #3 last week but start to get over it quite fast now so #3 will most likely be its peak.

Haha well, so i guess you don't know the music by Kendrick Lamar? He's actually very talented!

I'm currently getting back into Carrie's album. I still hope she releases the third single (hopefully "Church Bells") soon!

                                      week 09/2016 – 3 march 2016 Ellie’s invasion

                                      • Singles Top40

I attended the concert by Ellie Goulding last sunday and as always when it comes to a concert, the artist benefits a lot. That’s also why Ellie has several re-entries on the charts this week, and her most recent singles rise several spots as well, but none of them got the slightest chance of dethroning Kerli, who sits on top for a second week with her new single „Feral Hearts“. She also released the official music video at the end of last week, which is as magical as expected. The closest rival was Jamie-Lee Kriewitz. The winner of The Voice Of Germany 2015 already spent three weeks at number one during the year-end with her debut single „Ghost“, and last thursday she also won the german preselection for this years Eurovision Song Contest, which brings the song back to #2. It also gets certified with Gold this week. Alan Walker’s „Faded“ slips 2-3 and closes the Top3.

As mentioned, the two current singles from Ellie Goulding get a boost from her concert and both of them are back in the Top10, with „Something In The Way You Move“ moving up 13-7 and „Army“ being back up 22-10. There are incredible seven re-entries from her discography, and the highest one is „Outside“ by Calvin Harris at #15. All other entries are in the lower half of the charts. Her biggest hit to date – „I Need Your Love“ – is back at #22, followed by „Burn“ a position below which is also her second biggest hit on my charts so far. „Anything Could Happen“, which was the lead single of her second album „Halcyon“, is back at #27, with „Explosions“ (#31) and „Figure 8“ (#34) from the same album being back as well. The last re-entry is for „Lights“, which re-enters the charts at #36. It’s quite striking to see „On My Mind“, the lead single of her current album, nowhere on the charts despite the concert being for her current album „Delirium“.

Even apart from Ellie’s sudden slayage, there’s a lot going on on the charts as there were several other new and re-entries. Fifth Harmony collect their very first Top10 notation as „Work From Home“ debuts at #4, easily outdoing their previous highest peaking single „Worth It“ which peaked at #12 last year. Also collecting his first Top10 notation (at least as a lead artist) is UK rapper Tinie Tempah, who debuts at #5 with his new single „Girls Like“. The main reason for this high debut is due to the featuring artist, which is swedish hit maker Zara Larsson, who scored two number one hits last year. There’s even more to tell about the Top10, as there’s another re-entry as well, as Kelly Clarkson’s „Piece By Piece“ is back at #8. The single already made a short appearance on the charts earlier this year, when it debuted and peaked at #17, but re-peaks now due to her stunning American Idol performance. Just missing the Top10 is Demi Lovato, who enters the charts at #11 with „Stone Cold“, the third single release of her current album „Confident“. It immediately outpeaks the title track (#16). Two positions below there’s „Stressed Out“ by Twenty One Pilots, which becomes their very first entry ever on my charts. Last but not least, the last two new entries goes to Sara Hartman, who opened the show for Ellie Goulding last sunday. This is the first time an opening artist from a concert i attended also got an effect on my charts, and since she only released two songs so far, her whole discography actually make my list with „Monster Lead Me Home“ at #16 and „Stranger In A Room“ at #37.

Mike Posner’s „I Took A Pill In Ibiza“ (4-6) and Coldplay’s „Hymn For The Weekend“ (6-9) remain surprisingly stable despite all the action surrounding them.

There are obviously several big drops this week, and also several big ones out of the Top10. The biggest of these drops goes to Gwen Stefani, who already dives 10-25 with „Make Me Like You“. Even several new songs which only debuted on the charts a week ago have to suffer from Ellie’s invasion. Lissie’s „Hero“ falls 18-30, her other single „Don’t You Give Up On Me“ already leaves the charts, „Good To Love“ by FKA twigs drops 27-38 while Tove Lo’s „Scars“ tumbles down 16-39.

Ellie Goulding’s „Army“ is the biggest climber, while Tove Lo’s „Scars“ is the biggest loser this week.

Ellie Goulding also benefits a lot from her concert when it comes to the album charts. Her current album „Delirium“ is back to the top, up from #10 a week ago, which earns her a third week at number one for her third album. She still needs to spent three times as many weeks on top to tie the amount of her second album „Halcyon“, which spent nine non-consecutive weeks at #1 back in 2012/2013. That album re-enters the charts at #3 this week, while its re-release „Halcyon Days“ is back at #11. The highest new entry of the week goes to Charli XCX, who debuts at #2 with her „Vroom Vroom“ EP. Her studio album „Sucker“ from last year also debuted and peaked at #2, but left the charts after only five weeks.

After two weeks on top, Lissie’s „My Wild West“ drops 1-4, followed by Anette Olzon’s „Shine“ (2-5). Amy Lee’s new EP „Recover, Vol. 1“ only slips one position (5-6) despite the competition above her. Foxes’ „All I Need“ falls 3-7, while Sia’s „This Is Acting“ decreases 4-9. Apart from Charli XCX, there are another two new entries which made the upper half of the charts as well. One of them is Twenty One Pilots. The duo is currently setting the charts worldwide on fire with their single „Stressed Out“, which also debuts on my charts this week. Their second album called „Blurryface“ also makes a debut at #8. The third new entry of the week is a huge let down, as it’s „This Unruly Mess I’ve Made“ at #10, the second album by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The duo released their debut album „The Heist“ back in 2013, which debuted and peaked at #2 and got certified with Gold. It also spawned several hits, with „Can’t Hold Us“ being their biggest hit to date as it got certified with Platinum. The disappointing debut for the follow-up is not a huge surprise though, as the only single from the album that made the charts so far is „Downtown“, which peaked at #37 last year and stayed on the charts for just one week.

Grimes leaves the Top10 for her first time with „Art Angels“ after a sensational chartrun (9-12), which is currently the most successful album of the year so far. Kerli’s blockbuster „Utopia“ (7-14) also leaves that part of the charts, just like Kendrick Lamar’s „To Pimp A Butterfly“ (6-18) and Sophie Hunger’s „Supermoon“ (8-20). There’s one more re-entry in the Top20, coming from Kelly Clarkson. The first American Idol winner got a huge push through her performance on the same show last week, which is also the reason for the re-entry for her current album „Piece By Piece“ at #15. Among all those new, re-entries and movers, there’s Carrie Underwood, who slowly but surely climbs back up the charts with „Storyteller“ (16-13).

                                          • Great to see Ellie Goulding back in your Charts!! I also would have liked to see her live last Friday in Oberhausen.

Ellie concert effect is huge. I love her last album but not really familiar with her previous material apart from the singles.

Aww for the drop of Gwen. Hope it'll grow on you.

On the album charts, Ellie (Delirium), Foxes, Sia, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor, Adele and Charlie albums are my favorite. Great charts overall

Hmm...I just checked out "Walking On Air" on YouTube, and it didn't ring any bells. Cool video, though!

Glad to see that "Habits" + "Talking Body" were both Top 10 hits here! On my chart: "Habits" = No. 11, 8wks ; "Talking Body" = No. 2, 13wks ; "Timebomb" = No. 4, 7 weeks. I also really like "My Gun", which went all the way to No. 1.

Ha, you really don't care for "On My Mind" You mentioned something about it over on my chart, and now it wasn't even re-entry-worthy here. I think it's alright, I'm glad that it gave her another decent-sized hit in the US + UK, but it's far from being one of my favorites on Delirium.
                                                  • Awesome debut for "Work From Home" - and exciting that it earns Fifth Harmony their first-ever Top 10 hit here! I've been loving "Work From Home" lately too, so it'll definitely debut high on my next chart. I've liked pretty much all of their singles, but my favorite would probably be "Sledgehammer."
                                                  • Nice Top 10 re-entry for "Piece By Piece"! That AI performance Such a great example of how moving and powerful a performance can be when the artist is truly connected to his/her material. What's Kelly's biggest hit on your chart so far?
                                                  • RIP "Work."

The Kerli slayage continues. I haven't listened to Feral hearts as much this week. You can blame a certain Mrs Clarkson for that though. Kerli should still secure herself a place in my top 10 though this weekend.

I'm gonna give this another couple of listens to make up my mind if i like this more than Worth it, or not. I'm quite unsure which song i like more, maybe i just like both the same.

                                                    Chart Run: *5*- / 1w

Tinie Tempah seems to have a knack at making great tracks. I've already listened to Girls like a few times this week but i actually think Turn the music louder (rumble) is a better track but that said, this is still a top 10 contender and might be a slow burner that becomes a big hit in my chart.

7 (13) Ellie Goulding – Something In The Way You Move

Well, the music video is now on Youtube which i only discovered last weekend. A shame the music video couldn't have been something really special but its got listening to the song again, and its such a great song. Could well be making a return to my chart this weekend.

Aww, i wondered if this would go top 5. Needless to say, Piece by piece is definitely going to peak higher in my chart. I've been addicted to this song, and i've even found myself listening to the album version too. Amazing how a bit of promo on tv can do wonders for an album track (turned single).

Aww, so happy to see Stressed out making your chart. I've noticed this song also becoming a popular hit in Switzerland too.

Burn was one of my early #1 singles from when i first started writing my own chart, and I need your love was incredible. I hadn't started my own chart when this was in the charts but it was one of my favourite songs of 2013.
