Following a very quiet week when it comes to new and re-entries, it’s back at having lots of them, as there are a six new arrivals and also four little comebacks on the charts this week. As for the highest new entry, it’s a similar picture to last week, when the highest one was strong, but not strong enough to debut right at the top. However, last weeks highest new entry is now the lucky one, as it rises to the top, and that’s Marina Kaye’s “Something”. The song is up 2-1, becoming her second chart topper following “Sounds Like Heaven” back in 2015, and it’s probably worth a mention that both of her number one songs were ballads, while all other songs she has released so far were uptempo ones. “Something” benefits from the album release, as Marina has released her sophomore album “Explicit” last week, which is also the reason behind the re-entry for “On My Own” (#22), while “Merci quand meme” remains in the upper half (11-14).

The highest new arrival is yet another song by The Dark Element. The project by Anette Olzon and Jani Liimatainen has already spawned two hit singles with “The Dark Element” (13-20) and “My Sweet Mystery” (3-4), and now they are getting a third with “Dead To Me” (#2). The album will be released in two weeks and is expected to be a major competition for Taylor Swift’s “Reputation”, which will be out on the same day. There’s a second new entry in the Top10, belonging to Rita Ora. The singer gets her highest notation ever as a lead artist as her new single “Anywhere” debuts straight at #5, being also her second highest charting track overall, only behind “Black Widow” by Iggy Azalea, where she was featured on.

Four more new arrivals to go, and three of them made a really good impression as well, all debuting inside the Top20. Australian singer Guy Sebastian is back with a new song and a new album. The album is called “Conscious” and comes out next week, with the single “Bloodstone” being a new entry at #11 for him, as his eighth chart entry overall. One spot below is “Gorgeous”, the third output of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album “Reputation”. So far, it’s only a promo track, as a video for the previous song “…Ready For It?” just came out. Yet another Top20 entry goes to former One Directioner Liam Payne, who arrives at #15 with his new single “Bedroom Floor”. Despite getting negative reviews from all fronts, “Bedroom Floor” is already his third entry this year following “Strip That Down” (#20, 7 weeks on the charts) and “Get Low” (#11, 9 weeks), the latter is even currently the most successful song by a former One Direction member. The last new entry on the charts this week belongs to Swiss Schlager singer Beatrice, who just made it onto the charts with her new single “Herz an” (#40). It’s the first release of her upcoming album “Wohlfühlgarantie”, which is set to be released in February 2018. While most of her entries didn’t make a big impact on the Singles Top40 so far, her last single “Federleicht” is clearly an exception so far, having got a Gold certification this year.

Marina Kaye is not the only one who gets a re-entry through an album release, as it’s also the case with Niall Horan. The One Directioner has released his debut album “Flicker”, which brings back “Slow Hands” (#30) and “Too Much To Ask” (#32). A fourth and final re-entry goes to Tarja, as her “An Empty Dream” is back at #34 following the physical CD release of the accompanying EP.

The rest of the best: Tarja’s “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” dips 1-3, but there’s nothing to worry about for the singer as the follow-up will already come out tomorrow. “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran slips 5-6, followed by Rachel Platten’s “Perfect For You” (4-7), Noah Cyrus’ “Again” (5-8), P!nk’s “What About Us” (8-9) and Shania Twain’s “Poor Me” (7-10).

Norwegian pop singer Astrid S is still running on a high, as her “Think Before I Talk” keeps on climbing, up into the Top20 this week (24-13). There’s another quite big climb just outside the upper half with Clean Bandit & Zara Larsson’s “Symphony” going back up 29-21. Meanwhile, there are a few more big drops, especially “Let Me Go” by Hailee Steinfeld (16-27), “The Eagle Flies Alone” by Arch Enemy (15-28), “I Help You Hate Me” by Sunrise Avenue (12-29), “Imperfection” by Evanescence (19-37), “Find You” by Nick Jonas (26-38) and “’71 Charger” by Loreen (20-39) are all doing huge steps down, despite most of them having had a promising start at first.

Next week will be yet another busy one, especially at the top of the charts, as hitmakers such as Eluveitie, Lindsey Stirling, Loreen, Selena Gomez and Tarja will all debut on the charts with their new releases, while album releases by Kelly Clarkson, Rachel Platten and the two Swiss artists Eliane & Jaël will most likely bring some action to the singles charts as well.

Astrid S’ “Think Before I Talk” is the biggest climber, while Loreen’s “’71 Charger” is the biggest loser this week.

While Tarja already made a huge impression with her Christmas single on the Singles Top40, this week it finally happens that a Christmas album also makes a huge impression on the Album Top20. Violinist and YouTube sensation Lindsey Stirling has released her first Christmas album “Warmer In The Winter”, and despite having got a huge competition with another new release, she’s getting her fifth consecutive number one album, following the studio albums “Lindsey Stirling” (five weeks in 2013), “Shatter Me” (three weeks in 2014) & “Brave Enough” (six weeks in 2016/2017) and her live compilation “Live From London” (two weeks in 2015). It will definitely be a very interesting battle for this years Christmas number one spot, as Tarja will release her winter album next month as well.

With her debut album “Fearless” having spawned four Top10 hits, it was expected to see new music by French singer Marina Kaye being successful, and so she already scored three more Top10 hits this year, all being from her newly released second album “Explicit”. The album enters the charts at #2, one spot higher than the peak of “Fearless”, which showed some good legs and went Platinum. There’s a third and final new entry on the Album Top20 this week, and that’s “Flicker”, the solo debut album by former One Directioner Niall Horan. The set arrives at #5 as the highest peaking album by a One Directioner so far, as the solo debuts by Zayn and Harry Styles both debuted and peaked at #6. Only Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have yet to release their solo albums.

P!nk dips 2-3 with “Beautiful Trauma”, followed by Miley Cyrus and “Younger Now” (1-4). “Now” by Shania Twain (3-6), “Tell Me You Love Me” by Demi Lovato (4-7), “Heartbreak Century” by Sunrise Avenue (5-8) and “Evocation II: Pantheon” by Eluveitie (6-9) all fall down three spots, being back to back for another week. Meanwhile, due to early excitement for her upcoming show in Switzerland which will be held in a week, Zara Larsson’s “So Good” already rises back into the Top10 by increasing 17-10.

Lana Del Rey’s “Lust For Life” (10-12), Arch Enemy’s “Will To Power” (8-13), Lenka’s “Attune” (7-14) and Kygo’s “Stargazing” EP (9-17) are all leaving the upper half, while Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom” is about to re-enter them (16-11). Due to the success of the new album, Lindsey Stirling’s “Brave Enough” is able to re-enter the charts at #15.

I gave this a listen last week and i found this particular version really eerie which i'm guessing was the intention. It's such a lovely hymn, i adore the melody so much. I did find the pace of the song dragged a little but that's due to me being more familiar with the song being played faster. It's nonetheless a very intriguing and interesting rendition.

Amazing. It's safe to say Rita is heading for her highest peak yet in my own chart this weekend as Anywhere is such a joy to listen to. I'd say this is the best single Rita has done yet which makes it all the more extraordinary as i've liked many of her previous songs but never loved them in the way i've fallen in love with this song since its release. <3

Am i the only who is starting to think the whole Reputation era has fallen to pieces after such a promising start? They released this, and now they're releasing the music video for ...ready for it? which makes no sense to me. I think they would've been better releasing ...ready for it? tomorrow along with the music video. Being a brand new single with another visually striking music video, it could've helped Taylor get that second worldwide #1. I think Gorgeous has sort of ruined the flow as its definitely the weakest of the three songs so far but i'm somewhat baffled at why they've wasted the opportunity to help ...ready for it? be a bonafide chart hit and left this as an album track. :-?

Poor Liam. Each time i've listened to this, i've either heard Jason Derulo, Adam Levine or Ryan Tedder. I'm gobsmacked at the lack of identity in Liam's vocals. I mean even Louis Tomlinson's vocals are more distinctive when i hear him sing, and it's not like he's the greatest singer either. When you consider how Liam was pushed so much as the main vocalist in One Direction, i've been shocked by the substandard quality of his solo material. That said, i shamelessly enjoy this, but it will never be more than just a flash in the pan top 20 at best in my chart.

Aww, my 'ickle cutie pie! <3 I bought Flicker and i have to say on the whole its a really good album. Yes, i don't love every single song and i've struggled to enjoy Fire away because it's just so damn boring but i adore the Maran Morris track, the title track Flicker and Mirrors the most. I'd be so happy if one of these are chosen as the next single, and after reading Niall and Maran are gonna be performing at the Country music awards i'd be absolutely thrilled if Seeing blind is the fourth single.

Nice debut for The Dark Elements' latest track. I still haven't heard it yet but I trust your fabulous taste in music.
Tarja should have stayed on top, though. Her track is epic and so freaking beautiful. It's a true masterpiece of her career and I am so glad to have finally found my love for her back! - "Oh Tannenbaum" is amazing as well. I didn't expect it to sounds that magical and eerie (and not over-the-top cheesy).

Guy Sebastian's latest singles are really great and I am a bit annoyed that I missed all of their releases. It's great to see him getting a good debut on your chart.

"Gorgeous", on the other hand, is a half-baked idea of something which could have been truly amazing but oh well, I hope that the rest of her album will sound entirely different. - Liam's "Beedroom Floor" is way too high But I love the re-entries by Niall <3

I still remember that I took Chikorita, and in 90% cases of doing Silver (or even SoulSilver) I always took it so… though what I didn’t mention so far, it took me like over 30 minutes until I got the starter this time around as I wanted a female Chikorita and started over and over again until I got one It’s just one of those Pokémon which doesn’t make sense at all as male, at least to me.
Wow, this team sounds incredible! I always liked Donphan back then but somehow it never ended up in my Team. Also always wanted to try out Scizor though I never had someone to let it evolve
True to the moves. But just like Mareep, Ledian can at least learn one of the Punch TMs from Goldenrod City which is helping a lot.

Speaking about Mareep, since Rattata evolved in the meantime, I switched it up with Mareep, which already evolved as well. I just arrived in Olivine City and am battling in the Glitter Lighthouse right now.

Well I made a few pics but as I said there was nothing post-worthy. Plus my body is nothing special, so there would have been nothing really outstanding to look at

Chikorita's such a cutie <3 The Johto starter trio is probably one of my all-time favorites. I'd say Cyndaquil/Feurigel is my top pick of that bunch, but I really do love all three nearly equally (especially in their first stages. Croconaw/Tyracroc and Feraligatr/Impergator get a TAD ugly, though) Not sure if you were ever into the anime, but I wonder if your preference has anything to do with the fact that Ash's Bayleef/Lorblatt is female. I get that they really wanted to encourage players to connect with each other, but it was definitely a pain that so many of the new Gen II evolutions for older Pokémon required you to trade (especially back when that meant you had to do all the in-person link-cable shenanigans) :x I didn't realize Ledian could learn "Ice Punch" AND "Thunderpunch" I guess it does have four "arms." That's certainly helpful!

RIP Rattata, but I'm glad you've fully embraced Mareep now It sounds like you've picked up the pace lately! Hopefully that means you're enjoying this playthrough even more now.

Thanks I just beat Erika, and I think I'm going to change up my team for the first time in a while and replace Charade the Sudowoodo/Mogelbaum with a Slugma/Schneckmag I caught on Route 16 (I still need to pick a name for him. I spend WAY too long over-thinking nicknames) I've never used a Schneckmag in any playthrough before, and I haven't had a Fire-type on my team during this whole journey.

Nothing special? Nothing really outsanding? SURELY you should let UKMIX/the Internet be the judge of that... ;)

Maybe I should re-listen to it one day. I usually have some time around Christmas to listen to ‘forgotten’ albums or albums I always wanted to check out, so this may be a good thing to do then. But yeah, sometimes it just happen that one forgets some songs or even albums, but that doesn’t mean their weak or not good. Though one doesn’t forget really good one, no?

Hmmm...it's an interesting question...but I think if it's been long enough, and given the sheer quantity of albums that you check out, it's possible. No pressure, but it does make me curious if your opinion of Blown Away would be different now after such a long gap. Actually, now that I think about it, I can't believe it's already been over 5 years since that album dropped!

Very unlikely. The boost through “Waves” must be huge, and if something old gets a boost, then it would be “Wildfire” on the album charts. Old(er) singles usually don’t get a boost through new albums, only through concerts. Also, next week will be a busy one on the singles charts with new releases by Eluveitie, Lindsey Stirling, Selena Gomez and Tarja (all have scored #1s in 2017), plus other album releases could bring some songs to the singles charts as well, such as Kelly Clarkson and two artists from Switzerland…

I’m very happy to hear you enjoy “Something”. It’s such a beautiful track, and Marina has a fantastic run on my charts so far, having scored seven entries and all of them made the Top10, with four of them being certified. Were you already familiar with her, or is “Something” the first song you heard?
Anyways, yes, I am in love right now, however there are still parts of the song I can relate too. It’s actually shocking how one line perfectly fits to me lately, but that’s all I can say now…

Her name doesn't ring a bell, and after checking her Wikipedia page it looks like she hasn't scored any hits on the official charts that I follow, so I'm pretty sure this is the first thing I've ever heard from her. It's the first song of hers I've ever downloaded, anyway Do you mean the "I'm drinking until I'm drunk" line...? ;)

I think I once mentioned on your charts that I didn’t check out the other songs prior the album release, which is why none of the promo singles entered my charts. Now I also feel like it’s too late to let them onto my charts… sometimes it’s really weird when it comes to promo singles. Sometimes they are clear entries, sometimes they never make it… this time it’s the latter. So yes, it’s often that they really need to impress me to enter the Singles Top40. As for “Revenge”, it’s one of the weaker songs on “Beautiful Trauma” for me. I hope they pick a different second single – “Where We Go” would be my most favorite pick, as it’s already in my personal P!nk Top3.

Top 3 from Beautiful Trauma...or Top 3 from her entire career?

Miley’s album is such a nice surprise! The singles (especially “Malibu”) grew on me so much again, plus I love “I Would Die For You”, “Thinkin’”, “Bad Mood” and “Love Someone”, while I also think “Week Without You”, “Miss You So Much” and “She’s Not Him” are also very strong. So it’s definitely one of the better mainstream releases of 2017 for me

I'm glad that Younger Now turned out to be such a pleasant surprsie for you, since you weren't feeling so optimistic about it based on the first two singles, right? I wish I felt the same way Now with Kelly's album on my mind (and Maroon 5's and Taylor's arriving in the very near future), it's pretty much already forgotten...

• Like I was saying above, I've added "Something" to my iTunes, so you can expect to see it on my next chart Thanks again for introducing me to it!
• Lovin' that Top 5 debut for "Anywhere." I'd seen some comparisons to "It Ain't Me", and while I can hear the connection, this track does MUCH more for me. That desire to just escape from it all sometimes (with a special someone) is so relatable, and Rita's vocal performance really brings that sentiment right to the surface.
• "Bedroom Floor" has totally hooked me too. People seem pretty quick/eager to tear this one to shreds, but idk...sometimes popstars just want to make catchy, radio-ready pop, and I think this is a really enjoyable example of that. Time will tell if BF will ultimately out-shine "Get Low" for me, but it's definitely off to a strong start.
• Nice to see some Flicker effect. Have you checked out all of the 1D members' albums so far? How do they compare for you? I haven't heard any of them in full, but based on the singles, Niall's is the most tempting.
• Poor "Look What You Made Me Do" falling as fast as it is on most official charts...

Amazing news! I think “Something” is really beautiful. It’s interesting how her two ballads got me the most, as “Sounds Like Heaven” from her debut album also topped my charts. “Homeless” is amazing too but it didn’t age as well as I was hoping for to be honest.

I gave this a listen last week and i found this particular version really eerie which i'm guessing was the intention. It's such a lovely hymn, i adore the melody so much. I did find the pace of the song dragged a little but that's due to me being more familiar with the song being played faster. It's nonetheless a very intriguing and interesting rendition.

Amazing. It's safe to say Rita is heading for her highest peak yet in my own chart this weekend as Anywhere is such a joy to listen to. I'd say this is the best single Rita has done yet which makes it all the more extraordinary as i've liked many of her previous songs but never loved them in the way i've fallen in love with this song since its release. <3

I love that song and it’s so nice to see like everyone loving it too! “Anywhere” is already her highest peaking hit on my charts when it comes to her own songs (only “Black Widow” peaked higher but that’s a feature). I’m not yet sure if this beats “I Will Never Let You Down” in the long run as her best song for me but the chances are big, I always enjoy listening to this song so much. A shame the competition on my charts is quite big right now, otherwise this could have been a #1 hit…

12 (NEW) Taylor Swift – Gorgeous

Am i the only who is starting to think the whole Reputation era has fallen to pieces after such a promising start? They released this, and now they're releasing the music video for ...ready for it? which makes no sense to me. I think they would've been better releasing ...ready for it? tomorrow along with the music video. Being a brand new single with another visually striking music video, it could've helped Taylor get that second worldwide #1. I think Gorgeous has sort of ruined the flow as its definitely the weakest of the three songs so far but i'm somewhat baffled at why they've wasted the opportunity to help ...ready for it? be a bonafide chart hit and left this as an album track. :-?

No, you’re not, as I think similar. It was weird to get “…Ready For It?” so early anyway, a week after LWYMMD was just WAY too early, and then wait so long to release a video, and they are releasing it shortly after releasing another song? Doesn’t make sense at all, and it’s weird, as Taylor’s team always knew how to handle their eras. Maybe there’s a big plan behind everything and we will find out soon why this era seems so messy?

13 (24) Astrid S – Think Before I Talk

Ohh nice. I'm really impressed that Astrid S has been able to fight her way through all the competition and continue climbing each week.

The song got stuck in my head last week, though I think #13 may be its peak now. But that’s definitely a promising start (and already a better peak than what Zara Larsson got with her very first notation, so there’s that)

15 (NEW) Liam Payne – Bedroom Floor

Poor Liam. Each time i've listened to this, i've either heard Jason Derulo, Adam Levine or Ryan Tedder. I'm gobsmacked at the lack of identity in Liam's vocals. I mean even Louis Tomlinson's vocals are more distinctive when i hear him sing, and it's not like he's the greatest singer either. When you consider how Liam was pushed so much as the main vocalist in One Direction, i've been shocked by the substandard quality of his solo material. That said, i shamelessly enjoy this, but it will never be more than just a flash in the pan top 20 at best in my chart.

His songs really have no identity, but his stuff is still quite enjoyable, so we have the same thoughts about him/his songs. I do think that his album may sell much less than what the albums by Zayn, Harry and Niall did though, as he comes across as a single artist for now…

Aww, my 'ickle cutie pie! <3 I bought Flicker and i have to say on the whole its a really good album. Yes, i don't love every single song and i've struggled to enjoy Fire away because it's just so damn boring but i adore the Maran Morris track, the title track Flicker and Mirrors the most. I'd be so happy if one of these are chosen as the next single, and after reading Niall and Maran are gonna be performing at the Country music awards i'd be absolutely thrilled if Seeing blind is the fourth single.

VERY happy to hear this about Maren Morris, as it’s my favorite song on “Flicker” so far. Overall the album is quite good, could end up as my favorite former 1D album, but to be fair I never was a huge fan of Harry’s and Zayn’s album. Glad you enjoy his work overall, so he didn’t disappoint you and he keeps on being your favorite 1D member

Nice debut for The Dark Elements' latest track. I still haven't heard it yet but I trust your fabulous taste in music.
Tarja should have stayed on top, though. Her track is epic and so freaking beautiful. It's a true masterpiece of her career and I am so glad to have finally found my love for her back! - "Oh Tannenbaum" is amazing as well. I didn't expect it to sounds that magical and eerie (and not over-the-top cheesy).

Guy Sebastian's latest singles are really great and I am a bit annoyed that I missed all of their releases. It's great to see him getting a good debut on your chart.

"Gorgeous", on the other hand, is a half-baked idea of something which could have been truly amazing but oh well, I hope that the rest of her album will sound entirely different. - Liam's "Beedroom Floor" is way too high But I love the re-entries by Niall <3

I'm pretty sure you will like "Dead To Me" a lot. It's rockier than "My Sweet Mystery" and "Here's To You", even more than "The Dark Element" IMO. Definitely four great songs in a row now and i'm so freaking excited for the album!

Chikorita's such a cutie <3 The Johto starter trio is probably one of my all-time favorites. I'd say Cyndaquil/Feurigel is my top pick of that bunch, but I really do love all three nearly equally (especially in their first stages. Croconaw/Tyracroc and Feraligatr/Impergator get a TAD ugly, though) Not sure if you were ever into the anime, but I wonder if your preference has anything to do with the fact that Ash's Bayleef/Lorblatt is female. I get that they really wanted to encourage players to connect with each other, but it was definitely a pain that so many of the new Gen II evolutions for older Pokémon required you to trade (especially back when that meant you had to do all the in-person link-cable shenanigans) :x I didn't realize Ledian could learn "Ice Punch" AND "Thunderpunch" I guess it does have four "arms." That's certainly helpful!

Thanks I just beat Erika, and I think I'm going to change up my team for the first time in a while and replace Charade the Sudowoodo/Mogelbaum with a Slugma/Schneckmag I caught on Route 16 (I still need to pick a name for him. I spend WAY too long over-thinking nicknames) I've never used a Schneckmag in any playthrough before, and I haven't had a Fire-type on my team during this whole journey.

It definitely is <3 Oh, they ARE my favorite starters to be honest. It’s just like a perfect trio and it’s always hard to choose one of them, while in other generations it’s often quite easy to pick one for me. I loved watching the Pokémon Anime years ago, though picking a female Chikorita had nothing to do with Ash’s one. It just doesn’t make sense as a male to me as it looks 100% female, doesn’t it? Ah yeah that was always annoying, which is also why I never used the ones which had to be traded to evolve as part of my Teams… Yes, Ledian has many arms, and Comet Punch is a punch-move as well and I always saw this as his typical move… plus it’s able to get Mach Punch as well in later generations.

Mareep is SO much better than Rattata Anyways, I didn’t play since last week, so I’m not much further…

Yes… I was worried about the album but she really got me with it. It’s really sad that she already gave up on the project on her own and she said there will be no more singles, which is very sad. It’s also sad to see the album flopping so much, it already left the Top100 of the Billboard Top200 in its fourth week, what a disaster!
Aww That’s sad. Oh, I already forgot Maroon 5 will release something new as well… the next two months will be so busy when it comes to new releases

I agree. “It Ain’t Me” was cute at first but I got over it rather quickly, while I can see “Anywhere” sticking around for much longer. It’s definitely already my second favorite song by her, behind “I Will Never Let You Down”, and there’s a chance it may become THE favorite song. She’s having a great 2017, who would have thought?

It’s surprising how many negative reviews Liam is getting for his solo stuff so far as I enjoyed everything he released so far. Okay, there’s nothing groundbreaking or impressive or so, but everything was nice to listen to and far away from being weak or bad IMO. “Get Low” remains by far my favorite release by him so far though, as it’s also the most successful song by one of the One Directioners so far

Yes I did, but none of them really impressed me so far. Zayn’s chartrun for “Mind Of Mine” was 6-8-13-Out while Harry’s self-titled album did 6-9-15-20-Out, so both are far away from being hits. Niall is definitely the most promising one and his singles are my favorite ones while the album also has some nice songs, especially the collaboration with Maren Morris. Unfortunately, he released during a very busy time, and I can already reveal that he will leave the Top10 this week, but hopefully he will stay on the charts for some more weeks… as it would be undeserved to see him doing worse than Harry and Zayn when I like “Flicker” the most of these three…

Oh true, I didn’t even think about that yet, but its drop on the US Hot 100 this week is really shocking (10-25). The album release effect should revive it though.

"How Long" is quite good and i think i even prefer it to "Attention" which never really clicked with me. However, even "How Long" is not as good as most of the stuff from his debut album IMO...

week 44/2017 – 2 november 2017 from Wolves, Fairies and Tannenbäumen

• Singles Top40

Several big new songs arrive inside the Top40 as expected, with a few of them doing as well as expected, and a few of them being new all time lows for artists who used to do better. The top debut goes to Selena Gomez, who has released “Wolves” with EDM producer Marshmello as the follow-up to her hits “Bad Liar” and “Fetish”, and she immediately gets her 13th top hit with it. “Wolves” is Selena’s 23rd entry overall, and becomes the very first notation for Marshmello. She’s followed by Lindsey Stirling, who already debuted atop the album charts with her Christmas album “Warmer In The Winter” a week ago and now also makes it onto the singles chart with one of its songs, as she released a video for “Dance With The Sugar Plum Fairy” (#2). Tarja makes the Top3 complete, as she arrives at #3 with “O Tannenbaum”, the second single of her upcoming Christmas album. And here’s the first all time low, as Tarja always reached the top spot on the singles charts with all of her previous chart entries, so if “O Tannenbaum” won’t make it to the top, her perfect ratio will be broken.

Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie were also one of the expected big arrivals of the week, so it’s not a big surprise to see them entering the Top5 as well. Their new single is called “Rebirth” and makes it to #5 as the first song of their upcoming new metal album, which will be released next year. It’s their third entry in total, following this years “Lvgvs” (#1) and “Epona” (#2) from their acoustic album “Evocation II: Pantheon”. Just outside the Top10 arrives “I Miss You”, the newest release by Clean Bandit featuring Julia Michaels. Following a not so successful debut album, Clean Bandit have now collected three Top3 entries in a row with “Rockabye”, “Symphony” and “Disconnect”, so the expectations for a new release is quite big, and as for now, “I Miss You” can’t really hold on to that with its #13 debut. A spot below is yet another new arrival with Bebe Rexha’s and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant To Be”. Last but not least when it comes to Top20 arrivals, Loreen is one of the artists who scores an all time low with the new single “Hate The Way I Love You”. The song enters the charts at #19 as her very first notation ever to miss a Top10 debut, however it’s already her sixth chart appearance in this year alone, bringing her total chart entries to 13, the most for any ESC artist.

There are still four new entries to go, and also three re-entries. Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker has released a new song called “All Falls Down”, together with Noah Cyrus and Digital Farm Animals, and it debuts at #26. Arch Enemy are also back on the chart with the song “The Race”, the third single of their number one album “Will To Power” (#28). Pitbull & Fifth Harmony arrive at #35 with their collaboration “Por Favor” while “Room For Love” is the last entry for Melanie C at #38. Two of the three re-entries are back on the charts due to new album releases, and that are “Flawless” by Eliane (#16, reaching a new peak) and “Love So Soft” by Kelly Clarkson (#37). Meanwhile, the third and last re-entry is “Never Forget You” by Zara Larsson and MNEK, which comes back for yet another chart life at #33 and is likely to climb next week due to her concert later today.

The rest of the best: Marina Kaye’s “Something” drops 1-4, Rita Ora’s “Anywhere” slips 5-6 followed by Tarja’s “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” (3-7), The Dark Element still own two Top10 entries with “Dead To Me” (2-8) and “My Sweet Mystery” (4-9), while Rachel Platten’s “Perfect For You” closes the Top10 (7-10).

Noah Cyrus’ “Again” (8-11), Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” (6-12), P!nk’s “What About Us” (9-15) and Shania Twain’s “Poor Me” (10-17) all fall out of the Top10. There are even some bigger drops a few spots lower though, with “Merci quand même” by Marina Kaye dropping 14-23, “Tell Me You Love Me” by Demi Lovato falling 16-25, “How Long” by Charlie Puth going down 18-27, “The Dark Element” by the band with the same name decreasing 20-32, “Younger Now” by Miley Cyrus drowning 25-34, “Gorgeous” by Taylor Swift tumbling down 12-39 and “Bedroom Floor” by Liam Payne crashing 15-40. Other than these drops, there’s not a lot going on, as there are no new certifications for a second week in a row now.

There’s always a first time, and this week it happens for the very first time since I’m tracking biggest climbers and losers that there’s actually no biggest climber, as no song on the chart climbs one or more positions. There is however an obvious biggest loser with Taylor Swift’s “Gorgeous”.

• Album Top20

Four albums are new on the Album Top20, and all of them are in the upper half as expected, with one of them taking the lead quite easily, and that’s Rachel Platten’s “Waves”. The singer debuts at number one with her new album, which already becomes her second chart topping entry following her major-label debut “Wildfire”, which spent the first three weeks of 2016 atop the charts. “Waves” was preceded by the hit singles “Broken Glass” and “Perfect For You”.

Who were the other three debuts? Swiss Got Talent winner Eliane has released her fourth studio album “Slow Motion”, which is expected to become her fourth Top5 entry in Switzerland next week, and now also becomes her very first notation on my charts at #4. She’s followed by fellow Swiss musician Jaël and her new album “Orkestra”, which enters the charts at #5 as her third entry following “Shuffle The Card” (#3, Gold) and “Acoustic” (#2). Last but not least, original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson finally returns with her newest set “Meaning Of Life” at #7. It’s her fifth chart entry on the album charts since they started back in 2010, and all previous four albums got certified with Gold and peaked inside the Top5, so this debut is very underwhelming so far.

While Marina Kaye was defeated by Lindsey Stirling a week ago, it’s the opposite this time, as Marina Kaye remains at #2 with “Explicit” while Lindsey is down 1-3 with “Warmer In The Winter”. P!nk’s “Beautiful Trauma” falls 3-6, Miley Cyrus’ “Younger Now” drops 4-8, Eluveitie’s “Evocation II: Pantheon” stays at #9 while Shania Twain’s “Now” closes the Top10 (6-10).

Zara Larsson’s “So Good” dips 10-11, but is already set to return to the upper half as she will give her concert in Switzerland today. Niall Horan’s “Flicker” (5-12), Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me” (7-13) and Sunrise Avenue’s “Heartbreak Century” (8-15) all leave the upper half as well.

I'm not sure whats happened with Clean Bandit because they have been one of the most successful acts in my chart up until the glorious Symphony topped my chart for 5 weeks. Then along came Disconnect which i liked but didn't love, and now there's I miss you which i also like but don't love, and i can't see this getting near my #1 at all. I suppose every act goes through peaks and dips. I hope Clean Bandit revert back to their pure pop ways with the next single.

19 (NEW) Loreen – Hate The Way I Love You

This low entry doesn't surprise me as the song itself is incredibly lacklustre. Safe to say this won't be anywhere near my top 20 today. If i did a top 40 it wouldn't even be a contender. Disappointing song, but i suppose Loreen is trying to move away from pure pop which is such a shame.

35 (NEW) Pitbull & Fifth Harmony – Por Favor

It looks as if i like this track more than you then. It's looking set to enter my chart today although granted it's unlikely to reach the top 10.

38 (NEW) Melanie C – Room For Love

I love how Emma and Geri appear in the music video along with all those fans. I think its a sweet sentiment and it has a chance of scraping into my top 20 but like Pitbull's track it won't be a high new entry.

It definitely is <3 Oh, they ARE my favorite starters to be honest. It’s just like a perfect trio and it’s always hard to choose one of them, while in other generations it’s often quite easy to pick one for me. I loved watching the Pokémon Anime years ago, though picking a female Chikorita had nothing to do with Ash’s one. It just doesn’t make sense as a male to me as it looks 100% female, doesn’t it? Ah yeah that was always annoying, which is also why I never used the ones which had to be traded to evolve as part of my Teams… Yes, Ledian has many arms, and Comet Punch is a punch-move as well and I always saw this as his typical move… plus it’s able to get Mach Punch as well in later generations.

Mareep is SO much better than Rattata Anyways, I didn’t play since last week, so I’m not much further…

Congrats! Oh, Slugma sounds interesting. I had it in my Team for one playthrough many years ago, don’t even remember in which game exactly, I think it was in Ruby, and it was really cool. Magcargo has some really cool moves!

The Gen II starters really are such a solid group (and the nostalgia factor definitely doesn't hurt!) Do you know which trio would come in second place for you? Or last? Ha, yeah, I can see what you mean about Chikorita (well, that whole line/family.)

Yeah, it's one of the very few Pokémon that learns "Rock Slide" in Gen II without breeding (since it lost its TM status), which is really useful and provides nice coverage with "Flamethrower." I just beat Brock/Rocko yesterday, so now there's only two Kanto Gym Leaders left. I'm not sure if i'll bother grinding to take on Red - but either way, the timing should work out pretty perfectly with Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon coming out next Friday!

Entire career

Yes… I was worried about the album but she really got me with it. It’s really sad that she already gave up on the project on her own and she said there will be no more singles, which is very sad. It’s also sad to see the album flopping so much, it already left the Top100 of the Billboard Top200 in its fourth week, what a disaster!

Yeah, I was really shocked to read that too! I knew the album wasn't doing amazing, and "Younger Now" totally flopped as a single, but I didn't realize the album was dropping THAT fast It's already down to No. 175 on the latest Billboard 200! Still, you'd think they'd be willing to film at least one more video or something. Even with its current floppage, it still feels too soon to completely give up on the era (especially since there are some single-worthy tracks left on the album that might stand a chance of being minor hits, at least.)

I agree. “It Ain’t Me” was cute at first but I got over it rather quickly, while I can see “Anywhere” sticking around for much longer. It’s definitely already my second favorite song by her, behind “I Will Never Let You Down”, and there’s a chance it may become THE favorite song. She’s having a great 2017, who would have thought?

Rita's recent turnaround has been a really pleasant surprise. I hadn't been a HUGE fan of hers, but it was still frustrating to watch her second era implode after the success of "I Will Never Let You Down" due to all the Calvin Harris and label drama. She could've easily fallen into total obscurity these past couple years, but she managed to keep her name out there even without an album or big hits and then finally really connect again with her material this year.

Yes I did, but none of them really impressed me so far. Zayn’s chartrun for “Mind Of Mine” was 6-8-13-Out while Harry’s self-titled album did 6-9-15-20-Out, so both are far away from being hits. Niall is definitely the most promising one and his singles are my favorite ones while the album also has some nice songs, especially the collaboration with Maren Morris. Unfortunately, he released during a very busy time, and I can already reveal that he will leave the Top10 this week, but hopefully he will stay on the charts for some more weeks… as it would be undeserved to see him doing worse than Harry and Zayn when I like “Flicker” the most of these three.

I managed to get on my bf's Apple Music family plan last week, so I've given Flicker a few listens. It's definitely a sweet record, and pretty cohesive overall...but, much like Younger Now, there's a lot of really slow songs that fail to hook me (especially that stretch from "Flicker" ---> "You And Me") Besides the singles, "Seeing Blind" is the clear standout (and hopefully the 4th single!), and "Since We're Alone" has caught my attention too. I just wish there were more moments like “Slow Hands”, but the bulk of the album is closer to “This Town” and “Too Much To Ask” (which are still perfectly nice, they just don’t keep me coming back as much.)

Oh true, I didn’t even think about that yet, but its drop on the US Hot 100 this week is really shocking (10-25). The album release effect should revive it though.

Now it's down No. 25 -> No. 34 on the latest Hot 100, so I really hope that album rebound effect happens too - otherwise it'll be out of the Top 40 in its 12th week, which is INCREDIBLY bad for a No. 1 hit (especially given how much streaming has generally slowed the chart down overall.)

• I was pretty hyped for "Wolves" after loving "Silence" (and many of Selena's offerings over the years, of course)...but the chorus really isn't doing it for me It's actually one of the incredibly-rare cases where I prefer the instrumental parts to the parts with vocals. Glad to see you're really enjoying it, though!
• Lindsey's videos are as on-point as ever! Based on what I've seen from your chart, she really serves up such pretty, polished, professional-looking clips. She's so expressive too (her face and her movements), without ever saying a word! Quite the performer.
• Looks like you're already ready to kick Liam out of your bedroom.
• Most importantly, though: that No. 1 debut for Waves I'm a bit behind, since I just checked it out after getting access to Apple Music last Friday, but "Loose Ends" is definitely my favorite of the songs I hadn't heard before. You'd compared Rachel to Carly Rae Jepsen before (in terms of them both being wrongfully under-appreciated by the general public), but I think "Shivers" actually sounds like something Carly would record! Rachel even sounds a bit like her throughout that track. She really reminds me of someone else during the chorus of "Collide" too, but I can't think who. Lana Del Rey, maybe? Looks like you're much less impressed with Kelly's Meaning Of Life, though?

How would you compare it to “Bad Liar”? I liked this a lot in the first week but similar to “Fetish” i got over it quite quickly now. I still hope it shows a better longevity on my charts, as despite going Gold, “Fetish” did poorly for an official single by Selena. “Bad Liar” remains her best song released this year IMO.

At first I felt similar with you, but the melody of “I Miss You” has been stuck in my head lately and while it’s definitely their weakest song since “Tears” to me, it’s not as weak as I first thought. So I hope it may similar with you and that “I Miss You” may grow on you

Completely agree! She ALWAYS made my Top10 with ALL of her singles so far, so a #19 debut is really disappointing for her standards, and that’s mostly based on her name alone to be really honest. Its second week will be a disaster, and I’m afraid of the whole album now because “71 Charger” isn’t much better. Really sad to have to wait so long for a new album, being excited about it as the debut was so amazing and then she’s coming with stuff like this At least I got the “Nude” EP this year which I liked a lot…

Probably… and I’m still positively surprised by the song, despite this not-so-good debut I expected worse due to it being a Pitbull single and he’s been so not for me lately. However, Fifth Harmony’s part is nice and they kinda saved it for me. Glad you enjoy it.

Yep, a sweet thing and a good song. It’s a shame how her album flopped, because it’s actually quite good. However she waited way too long with a new single, this could have been a bigger hit on my charts if released months ago. Oh good question… hmm… so I just wanted to try to rank them but gosh, that’s so incredibly difficult! Fifth or Sixth Gen are definitely last place, seventh slightly above them. The rest are sooo hard… because I love them all I think third gen is above fourth as I love all three in the third gen while I’m not a big fan of Chimchar; similar case with the first Gen and Charmander, however the nostalgia effect there is bigger…… and now that I think about it, third is probably even above second so… based on all these thoughts, it must be:
3rd > 2nd > 1st > 4th > 7th > 5th > 6th
How would you rank them all?

Yeah, these two moves are really strong and makes Magcargo a great team member for sure That’s good! So you will get one of these (US/US)? I’m not really sure if I buy one of them to be honest, as the original ones didn’t really impress me and despite being a huge fan of Silver, I don’t even play it half as often as I expected so it may be even worse with US/UM

#175?!?! I only knew the Top Sales position, but that BB position is AWFUL!! Thank god her SNL performance gave a nice boost on iTunes, so it should climb again next week. Also, “Bad Mood” as a single would be a nice pick, it could save the era… and if it wouldn’t, at least they would have tried to save it…

It’s nice how she changed things now and has released two bops in a row. Now it's down No. 25 -> No. 34 on the latest Hot 100, so I really hope that album rebound effect happens too - otherwise it'll be out of the Top 40 in its 12th week, which is INCREDIBLY bad for a No. 1 hit (especially given how much streaming has generally slowed the chart down overall.)

• I was pretty hyped for "Wolves" after loving "Silence" (and many of Selena's offerings over the years, of course)...but the chorus really isn't doing it for me It's actually one of the incredibly-rare cases where I prefer the instrumental parts to the parts with vocals. Glad to see you're really enjoying it, though!
• Lindsey's videos are as on-point as ever! Based on what I've seen from your chart, she really serves up such pretty, polished, professional-looking clips. She's so expressive too (her face and her movements), without ever saying a word! Quite the performer.
• Looks like you're already ready to kick Liam out of your bedroom.
• Most importantly, though: that No. 1 debut for Waves I'm a bit behind, since I just checked it out after getting access to Apple Music last Friday, but "Loose Ends" is definitely my favorite of the songs I hadn't heard before. You'd compared Rachel to Carly Rae Jepsen before (in terms of them both being wrongfully under-appreciated by the general public), but I think "Shivers" actually sounds like something Carly would record! Rachel even sounds a bit like her throughout that track. She really reminds me of someone else during the chorus of "Collide" too, but I can't think who. Lana Del Rey, maybe? Looks like you're much less impressed with Kelly's Meaning Of Life, though?

Wow, this is a real surprise, because I think the chorus (I’ve been running with the wolves…) is really strong and catchy! Especially the second one, where she’s got a higher voice when she sings ‘to youuuu’… anyways, it won’t be a huge hit on my charts and it’s clearly not as good as like 90% of Selena’s other official singles…

Glad to hear you enjoyed another video by Lindsey! And yes, she’s an awesome performer. Do you follow Dancing With The Stars? She’s a contestant on the current season, and she’s doing very well, being one of the last five contestants now. Her tango from two weeks ago absolutely slayed.

No, I wouldn’t kick him out of the bedroom, however while the song is still nice, it just made a weaker impression on me than many other songs last week…

It’s a shame how Rachel is flopping because that way it will probably become more difficult to get new stuff from her, because she’s slowly becoming a real charts force on my charts. “Waves” is another great pop record, and I love the songs you mentioned, and even many more on the album. Especially the first half is so strong IMO. That comparison on “Shivers” makes sense – I didn’t even think about it yet Can’t really say who you hear on “Collide” though…
As for Kelly, the album is solid, but my second least favorite release from her so far, only “My December” was a bit weaker. And since the competition on my charts right now is so incredibly strong, she’ll have a VERY shocking second week… If she'd release "Go High" next year, she may turn things around...

week 45/2017 – 9 november 2017 a concert effect So Good

• Singles Top40

Zara Larsson had her very first concert in Switzerland a week ago, and since she already released several big hits, it’s not a big surprise to see her also getting a quite huge boost through the concert. It is, however, impressive and worth a mention that all songs from her that already made it onto the charts over the last few years are also in the Top40 this week, so her whole discography is back. The highest entry is not a surprising one, as it’s “Symphony” with Clean Bandit, which shoots up 22-1 for a fifth non-consecutive week atop the charts, extending its lead as the longest running number one single of the year. Her never-dying hit and most successful single to date – “Never Forget You” with MNEK – also got a huge boost and rises 33-5, while most recent single “Only You” climbs 29-8. The biggest re-entry goes to “I Would Like”, which re-peaks at #9.

How did her other songs do? “Don’t Let Me Be Yours” also re-peaks by returning to #13, one spot higher than the re-entry position for “Uncover”, which was her very first notation ever over two years ago and gets a new peak now. Her duet with Tinie Tempah on “Girls Like” also comes back in the upper half at #19. Her breakthrough hit “Lush Life” is back at #22, the David Guetta collaboration “This One’s For You” returns to #33, “Ain’t My Fault” makes it to #37 while “So Good” is re-entering at #38. With 11 entries on the singles charts, she ties Rihanna as the artist with the most entries following a concert, though most of Rihanna’s re-entries were in the lower half of the Top40.

There are obviously also some other new but also re-entries on the chart this week, though none of them made a really big impact. Sam Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes” is back at #16 due to his album release, while Maroon 5’s “What Lovers Do” (featuring SZA) is new at #32 and Kygo’s “Never Let You Go” (featuring John Newman) is new at #40 following their album releases. Last but not least, Taylor Swift scores her fourth entry from the upcoming album “Reputation” as the promo single “Call It What You Want” debuts at #28. The previous promo single “Gorgeous” already leaves the Top40 after only two weeks.

The rest of the best: Rita Ora gets a new peak for “Anywhere” (6-2), followed by Eluveitie’s “Rebirth” which is improving as well (5-3). Selena Gomez & Marshmello’s “Wolves” already falls 1-4, Marina Kaye’s “Something” dips 4-6, The Dark Element’s “Dead To Me” is up 8-7 while Noah Cyrus returns to the Top10 with “Again” (11-10).

Clean Bandit may be back atop the charts with “Symphony”, but their newest single “I Miss You” is also performing quite well, being about to enter the Top10 in its second week (13-11). The Dark Element’s “My Sweet Mystery” (9-12) and Rachel Platten’s “Perfect For You” (10-15) both leave the Top10 with the first one going Gold this week, which is the first certification for the new project by Anette Olzon, but her sixth song overall to go at least Gold. Christmas is still far away and so it’s not a big surprise to see three Christmas songs also leaving the Top10, it is however quite shocking how big their drops are, as Tarja falls 3-20 with “O Tannenbaum” and 7-30 with “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” while Lindsey Stirling’s “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy” falls 2-17.

Despite dropping 15-29, P!nk collects her fourth certified single as “What About Us” goes Gold this week. Loreen also has a new certification, the first one in over two years, as “Ocean Away” goes Gold (31-36). It’s the first song of hers with a certification that didn’t topped the singles charts.

“Never Forget You” by Zara Larsson and MNEK is the biggest climber while Tarja’s “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” is the biggest loser this week.

• Album Top20

Zara Larsson obviously also benefits from the concert effect when it comes to the Album Top20, and despite having several debuts on the charts this week, none of them was a threat for the Swedish hitmaker, and so it’s not the biggest surprise to see her international debut album “So Good” rising 11-1 for a fifth non-consecutive week atop the charts. It’s still the second longest running number one album of the year, as Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom” spent six weeks at number one (14-16 this week). Both are currently very high on the Year-To-Date Chart. Zara Larsson also has another reason to celebrate, as her album goes double Platinum this week.

At first it looked like Sam Smith’s long awaited second album “The Thrill Of It All” may be the only new release to look forward to last week, however it turned out that there are five releases more, and so it happens that there are an incredible six new arrivals on the charts this week, but with just half of them making the Top10. Sam Smith has the highest new entry with “The Thrill Of It All” opening at #3. His debut album “In The Lonely Hour” debuted and peaked atop the charts over three years ago and ended up with a Platinum certification. Maroon 5 have yet to score a big hit on the singles charts, but they still own the second highest debut of the week as their new “Red Pill Blues” opens at #5. That’s a spot higher than what their last album “V” did back in 2014 (#6), despite that one having spawned three Top20 hits, while “Red Pill Blues” hasn’t even spawned a Top30 hit. Australian singer-songwriter and former ESC contestant Guy Sebastian has the third arrival in the upper half as his new set “Conscious” enters the charts at #6. It’s his third entry following “Madness” (#5, Gold, 2015) and “Part 1 EP” (#3, 2016).

The rest of the Top10: Rachel Platten slips 1-2 with “Waves”, while Marina Kaye’s “Explicit” is down 2-4. Lindsey Stirling’s “Warmer In The Winter” drops 4-7, followed by P!nk’s “Beautiful Trauma” (6-8), with Eluveitie’s “Evocation II: Pantheon” closing the Top10. The last entry in the upper half is an unexpected one, as despite all the new entries, Niall Horan still manages to go back up 12-9 with his solo debut album “Flicker”.

Still three more new entries to go… it’s been a while, but Danish singer MØ has finally released an EP called “When I Was Young”. Hits like “Final Song” aren’t on it though, and so its debut at a moderate #12 may not be a surprise. She’s followed by Kygo’s “Kids In Love” (#13), which is already his next new release, only a month after the release of the “Stargazing” EP. Chris Brown’s 48-track set “Heartbreak On A Full Moon” makes a rather disappointing debut as well at #15. There are also some bad news for already charting albums, as there are some quite big drops. The biggest ones go to “Meaning Of Life” by Kelly Clarkson (7-19) and “Orkestra” by Jaël (5-20).

Next week will see the clash of the titans, as new albums by Evanescence and Taylor Swift will fight against the debut album by The Dark Element.

Ha, sometimes I’m still surprised by myself how I can listen to metal music in one second and pop the other, just to get it followed by a dance song and then switching to R&B

I've always been the same. I do enjoy various music and sometimes by listening to different songs this way makes me appreciate the songs more. I do think listening to a group of similar sounding songs can just turn into a blur where i can't distinguish each individual track.

How would you compare it to “Bad Liar”? I liked this a lot in the first week but similar to “Fetish” i got over it quite quickly now. I still hope it shows a better longevity on my charts, as despite going Gold, “Fetish” did poorly for an official single by Selena. “Bad Liar” remains her best song released this year IMO.

Ohh no i think Bad liar is the weakest song Selena has done all year. I think it was just a bit too minimalistic and i was expecting so much more from the track. I found the song rather clunky but it got to #20 in my chart so it clearly had something intriguing about the track, but not enough to enter high.

Ohh wow, this sure took its time. I'm guessing this has been a slow burner and its finally grown on you enough to enter the chart. Haha no, just Zara with her band. Clean Bandit would have been awesome but also kinda random, I guess. Well, the song is one of the best songs of the year, so even with a crappy performance it was expected to see it rising again due to the concert effect… actually, she really messed up the chorus, but only because she was sick (she lost her voice a few times during the concert… but still made it work very well!)

Similar to “Symphony”, just Zara, no Nena. Nena would be a bigger thing over here than Zara to be honest She had an opening artist called Juliander, but the main concert was just her. It was her European Tour

Gary Lightbody (last single of “Red”) peaked at #36 as her lowest entry so far, it is however her second lowest entry, and despite the album being out now, there’s nearly no chance to see this getting a new peak, unless it gets a full single treatment. I guess you mean “Gorgeous”? It’s hard to choose for me, both are kinda underwhelming…

32 (NEW) Maroon 5 feat. SZA – What Lovers Do

Ohh wow, this sure took its time. I'm guessing this has been a slow burner and its finally grown on you enough to enter the chart. This was actually quite instant with me, but i didn't find myself loving it more over time so it eventually just got lost amongst all the other new music that coming out.

Actually, I never checked it out until the album came out, which is why it never entered my charts so far Anyway, it’s better than expected, but most likely won’t become a hit for me, as there’s so much coming out at the moment and I enjoy all these other things much more than this… so it’s a similar case with me like it is with you.

40 (NEW) Kygo feat. John Newman – Never Let You Go

I love John Newman, he's one of my favourite british male singers...but this track does nothing for me. I was even anticipating hearing the track and was really hoping they would deliver the goods. When i heard this on YouTube i was left underwhelmed.

Really? I had no idea! He has released a very few good songs but I never fully cared about him to be honest. Maybe there’s some hope left and this may grow on you? It’s not even that bad, however compared to Kygo’s latest releases it’s definitely weaker and I expected better.
