My Charts - week 17/2022 – 29 april 2022 - it's still Pagan time
.
Singles Top40
Spoiler!Faun is still smashing with the singles of their current album Pagan, with the Eluveitie collaboration Gwydion still taking the lead for a fourth consecutive week, joining Grimes’ Shinigami Eyes as already the second song with more than three weeks at number one this year. It’s very unusual to have two songs with this many weeks atop the charts already this early in the year, because for the past ten years, only two years had more than one song with more than three weeks at number one, with 2020 (Nightwish’s Élan and Ava Max’ Kings & Queens) and 2013 (Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball and Selena Gomez’ Slow Down).
With just Baldur having to leave the charts again (ex #32), The German Pagan-Folk band still owns five entries on the singles charts this week, and even more impressively, Neun Welten even jumps back up 7-4 for a completely new peak. The song also gets certified with Gold this week. Their other chart entries are Tamlin (9-11), Galdra with Lindy-Fay Hella (8-15), and Wainamoinen (17-21).
The highest two new entries of the week complete the Top3. First up is Keiino with their new single Mother Of The Night. The Norwegian trio has been scoring hits since their participation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with Spirit In The Sky, which debuted at #14 exactly three years ago and went on to become a Platinum certified top hit. During these three years, Keiino has collected nothing but Top10 hits, with Mother Of The Night being their 15th chart notation overall, and by debuting at #2, it’s already their eighth consecutive song to immediately reach the Top3 and 10th doing so overall. Next up is a song by RuPaul’s Drag Race. The 14th season just ended and Willow Pill was not only crowned as America’s Next Drag Superstar, but her finale performance for I Hate People was also by far the best one. The song itself debuts at #3 this week, with fellow Season 14 track Catwalk featuring the five finalists falling 2-5 this week.
Other new and re-entries this week: The third highest new entry also reaches the Top10, as it comes in at #7 and is called Maybe You’re The Problem, the new single by Ava Max. The Pop singer has finally released a completely new track and even though it’s not official yet, the song should be a first taste to an upcoming second studio album. Ever since making her charts debut in late 2018, Ava Max has become a successful hit maker, with Maybe You’re The Problem being her 17th chart notation and already 14th to peak inside the Top10. Also returning to the charts is Sam Smith, as the British singer has released their new single Love Me More that starts at #12 this week. It’s their 20th chart entry to date, though they already made their first impact alongside Naughty Boy on La La La back in late 2013. Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker already gets his 22nd chart hit with The Drum at #18, while Drag Race UK star Tia Kofi teamed up with MRSHLL on Heart Beating, which is new at #25.
There are a bunch of new arrivals on the Album Top20 this week and the two highest of these also bring some entries onto the Singles Top40. German Industrial Metal band Rammstein put out their eighth studio album Zeit, and while the first two singles Zeit and Zick Zack didn’t perform all too well and so the expectations weren’t the best ones going into the album release, the actual album turned out way better than anticipated and so it’s no surprise to see the third and new single Angst immediately becoming their highest peaking chart entry this year by debuting at #16. Zick Zack also makes a comeback at #28, which is a new peak. EDM duo Sofi Tukker also released a new album called Wet Tennis this week, which brings back their singles Original Sin (#27) and Sun Came Up (#37).
Eurovision entries this week: The contest comes closer and after a week with no entries in the Top10, this changes again as Andromache’s Ela rises 13-10. It’s by far the highest placed Eurovision entry this week, as all others are in the lower half of the Top40, with Stefan’s Hope still being the best of the rest by falling 15-22. The Estonian entry gets certified with Gold this week, becoming the very first certified Eurovision entry of 2022. We Are Domi’s Lights Off (16-24) and Ronela Hajati’s Sekret (23-32) may join him at some point. Ochman’s River (33-34), Sheldon Riley’s Not The Same (25-36), Lumix & Pia Maria’s Halo (24-38) and Brooke’s That’s Rich (31-40) are the other official Eurovision entries this week, with Go_A’s Kalyna being the final Eurovision related chart entry (22-26).
Other talking points this week: Besides Neun Welten and Hope, there’s a third song getting a certification this week, as Hallucination by Regard and Years & Years reaches that milestone (30-33). While being a first for Regard, it’s Years & Years’ third song earning that achievement and already second this year, following Sooner Or Later.
The title for the biggest climber is shared by Faun’s Neun Welten and Andromache’s Ela, while Pabllo Vittar & Rina Sawayama’s Follow Me drops 20-39 as the biggest loser this week.

.
Album Top20
Spoiler!Following a massive arrival last week, it was clear that despite this being a very busy week with six new arrivals, there’s no way Faun would already lose their top spot for Pagan. The new album by the German Pagan-Folk band spends an easy second week atop the charts, making it the fifth album to have spent two weeks at number one this year. The others were the soundtrack for Arcane: League Of Legends, Katja Krasavice’s Pussy Power, Charli XCX’ Crash and Miley Cyrus’ Attention: Miley Live. More surprisingly, no album has spent more than two weeks atop the charts so far, so Faun may get the longest charting album of the year so far already next week.
While the compilation for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 stays at #2, the highest of all new entries completes the Top3. Three years following their big comeback with their self-titled studio album, German Industrial Metal band Rammstein just put out their eighth studio album called Zeit that makes it all the way to #3. Even though none of the album’s singles reached the Top10 so far and their self-titled album scored two of these back in 2019, the arrival for Zeit is still one spot higher than the peak of Rammstein, immediately making it their highest peaking album ever.
Other new entries this week: EDM duo Sofi Tukker own the second highest new entry, as their second studio album Wet Tennis finally got released and debuts at #4. It becomes their third chart entry, with their debut album Treehouse having peaked at #4 back in 2018 (including being certified with Gold), while the Dancing On The People EP made it all the way to #2 back in 2019. Country superstar Miranda Lambert has already released her ninth studio album called Palomino this week and following some good peaks for her previous two albums The Weight Of These Wings (#2 in 2016) and Wildcard (#3 in 2019), Palomino does slightly worse by coming in at #6. Just one spot below at #7 is Blue Water Road, the third studio album by R&B singer Kehlani. It also becomes her third chart entry, having made a very first notation with the EP While We Wait back in 2019 (#13), while the second studio album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t even reached #3 in 2020. The final two new entries are both EP’s coming from K-Pop artists. First up is the MY EP, the debut EP by (G)I-dle band member Miyeon. The EP arrives at #8, just on time when I Never Die by her band leaves the chart (ex #15). K-Pop group Monsta X enter the charts much lower with their Shape Of Love EP (#16). These are debut chart entries for both artists.
Other talking points this week: Charli XCX’ Crash leaves the Top3 for the first time, though it’s still holding up nicely in its seventh week (3-5). Meanwhile, after reaching a new peak over five years after its original run, Number 1 Angel takes a sudden dive this time, falling 5-11. Despite a lot of new entries, Rosalia’s Motomami (7-9) and Maren Morris’ Humble Quest (6-10) also hold up well in the Top10. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus’ Attention: Miley Live (10-12), Eluveitie’s Evocation II: Pantheon (4-13), Banks’ Serpentina (8-14) and Camila Cabello’s Familia (9-15) all have to leave the upper half, a few of them with rather big drops.

Bubbling Under
Spoiler!Faun gets the charts triple this week, as besides Gwydion still topping the Singles Top40 and Pagan still being in the lead on the Album Top20, Seemann rises 2-1 on the Bubbling Under chart following its arrival last week. Interestingly, the song is not even part of their current album, but from their 2019 album Märchen & Mythen. The band still slays the Bubbling Under chart, as they also keep charting with Lord Randal (4-3), Ran (5-4) and Innisfree (3-5), all three being album tracks from their current album Pagan.
The highest new entry comes in at #6 and is called OK, an album track of Rammstein’s new album Zeit. The second highest new arrival goes to The Cast Of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 14’s Check My Track Record, which was the final performance on the show for Angeria Paris VanMichaels. While Willow Pill’s final performance for I Hate People makes a stellar debut on the Singles Top40, the songs for fellow finalists Lady Camden (I Fell Down (I Got Up)), Bosco (Devil) and Daya Betty (Fighter) even miss out on the Bubbling Under chart. Also missing out on the list are Giveon’s Lie Again and Megan Thee Stallion’s Plan B, while the new singles by Khalid (Skyline, #8) and Justin Bieber feat. Don Toliver (Honest, #10) just sneak in.
Charli XCX’ Roll With Me (1-2) and Eluveitie’s Antvmnos (8-9) complete the Bubbling Under chart this week.

Hoo boy the few songs I do know (Shinigami Eyes, As It Was, the Charli songs) are all going the wrong direction. At least Ava makes a good debut.
I listened to your top two and Faun will have to be a pass from me - it's very Tansike though.
As for #2, uhm wtf is going on here- I actually like this one

Aww, thank you <3 the "it's very Tansike" is such a compliment for meAnd yes, it probably really is
I just can't but love stuff like this!
You weren't familiar with Keiino yet? I think you've never been an Eurovision fan, right? They've been big there in 2019 and have released so many bops ever since... great Eurodance / Pop band. Thanks for checking out!

My Charts - week 18/2022 – 6 may 2022 - This Love for Eurovision
.
Singles Top40
Spoiler! We are just a few days away from the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, and going into the Eurovision week, the songs from the contest make a huge impact on the charts this week and nearly half from last weeks Top40 has to leave the charts this time. Probably more surprisingly though, there are also four non Eurovision related debuts on the charts this week and they’re all the highest new entries, with one of them even taking the top spot this week. Following Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) last year, it seems like Taylor Swift will choose her Pop masterpiece 1989 as the next re-release from her discography, as she just released This Love (Taylor’s Version) as a single. With its arrival atop the charts, it becomes Taylor’s ninth number one single and 43rd chart entry overall, making her one of the most successful artist of all time. The song also becomes the first chart-topping hit from one of her re-releases, and is already the second appearance from the upcoming new version of 1989, as Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version) was already released as a first taste last year and peaked at #6.
This Love finishes a strong run atop for Gwydion, which dips 1-2 for Faun & Eluveitie.
Completing the Top3 is the highest Eurovision entry, coming from Andromache, who will represent Cyprus with the song Ela that jumps 10-3 for a new peak. Following Eleni Foureira’s Fuego (#2 in 2018), Tamta’s Replay (#3 in 2019) and Elena Tsagrinou’s El diablo (#1 in 2021), this is already the fourth entry from Cyprus to reach the Top3 in the last five years, further proving the country’s current power in the Eurovision world.
Other Eurovision entries this week: Six Eurovision entries from this year make their very first appearance on the charts this week, but they’re all in the lower half, with Michael Ben David‘s I.M at #27 (Israel), Rosa Linn’s Snap at #29 (Armenia), Konstrakta’s In corpore sano at #33 (Serbia), Systur’s Með hækkandi sól at #34 (Iceland), Sam Ryder’s Spaceman at #38 (UK) and Mia Dimsic’s Guilty Pleasure at #39 (Croatia). There’s no doubt that some of them will have a nice boost following the two semi finals next week. Meanwhile, some entries that already made some appearances have stellar comebacks this week – especially S10 with De Diepte, the Dutch entry, and Chanel’s SloMo, the Spanish entry. Both of these songs have been doing well in the betting odds for a while and even though they shortly appeared on the charts a few weeks ago, they suddenly clicked now and so they return to #13 and #14 this week. Norwegian entry Give That Wolf A Banana by Subwoolfer also comes back at #23, while Alvan & Ahez‘ Fulenn (#28, France), Kalush Orchestra’s Stefania (#36, Ukraine) and The Rasmus‘ Jezebel (#40, Finland) are the other re-entries.
A bunch of Eurovision tracks were already charting last week and some of them get a massive boost this week – especially the Albanian entry Sekret by Ronela Hajati, as it rises 32-8 to nearly match its debut and peak position. Ochman’s River (34-15, Poland) also gains a lot and comes close to its original peak, while We Are Domi’s Lights Off (24-17, Czech Republic) and Stefan’s Hope (22-18, Estonia) are back in the Top20. Lights Off also gets certified with Gold this week, joining Hope as the second certified Eurovision entry of the year so far. Brooke’s That’s Rich (40-26, Ireland), Lumix & Pia Maria’s Halo (38-30, Austria), Sheldon Riley’s Not The Same (36-31, Australia) are also still charting and increasing this week.
Keiino, the Norwegian Eurovision entry from 2019, move 2-6 with their current single Mother Of The Night as the final Eurovision related entry on the charts this week.
Other new entries this week: Two years following the three chart-topping Chromatica singles, Lady Gaga returns to the Top5 this week as the Top Gun soundtrack single Hold My Hand debuts at #5. While being her 36th chart entry overall, it’s already her 31st Top5 single. Also reaching the Top10 is You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul, a cover of the Modern Talking classic from the same name. The song is by Katja Krasavice, former German Idol winner Pietro Lombardi, and Modern Talking legend Dieter Bohlen himself and debuts at #7. While this is the very first chart notation for Pietro and Dieter, Katja is obviously no stranger to the charts, as it’s already her 15th chart notation and ninth to immediately reach the Top10 in a row. Finally, Swedish Pop singer Tove Lo scores the final debut of the week, as her new single No One Dies From Love makes it to #12. It’s her highest peaking chart entry since Sweettalk My Heart (#8 in 2019) and is expected to be from her upcoming yet untitled fifth studio album.
Other talking points this week: A final shoutout goes to Rammstein’s Angst, which jumps 16-10 and becomes the first Top10 hit from their current album Zeit.
Ronela Hajati’s Sekret is the biggest climber, while Sam Smith’s Love Me More drops 12-35 as the biggest loser this week.

My Charts - week 18/2022 – 6 may 2022 - This Love for Eurovision
.
Album Top20
Spoiler! It was an extremely close race for the top spot this week, but in the end, Faun’s Pagan just dips 1-2 and doesn’t get the longest running top album of the year so far – as for now. But looking at the Singles Top40 and at the Bubbling Under chart, it’s not the biggest surprise to see the compilation for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 taking over the Album Top20 as well, rising back up 2-1 in its fourth week and for a second week at number one. It joins five other albums as the longest running number one albums of the year, but considering that the contest itself should have its biggest impact on the charts in the next two weeks, it’s extremely likely to see the compilation being ahead of these other fives albums already next week. Since the invention of the album charts back in 2010, all compilations for the Eurovision Song Contest have spent a total of 35 weeks at number one, with just the ones for 2014 and 2015 having spent just one week each atop the album charts.
Rammstein’s Zeit stays at #3 to complete the Top3.
With Eurovision making such a huge impact this week, it kinda gets lost how busy this week would have been anyways, as there are five new arrivals on the Album Top20 and the highest comes in at #4: How To Let Go by Sigrid. The Norwegian Pop singer has released her second studio album and scores her highest peaking chart entry through it, surpassing the #5 peak of her debut Sucker Punch from 2019. Sigrid also peaked at #6 with the Don’t Kill My Vibe EP and at #11 with the Raw EP, both being from 2018.
Other new entries this week: American Rock band Halestorm released their fifth album Back From The Dead which earns them the second highest debut of the week at #5. It’s their third chart entry following Vicious (#3 in 2018) and the Reimagined EP (#12 in 2020). Next up is Skylar Grey, who released her new self-titled studio album that enters the charts at #6. It’s also her third chart entry to date, with the Gold certified, #3 peaking Natural Causes still being her biggest hit (2016), while the Angel With Tattoos EP peaked at #8 in 2019.
A fourth new arrival is just one spot below at #7, with Emeli Sandé’s Let’s Say For Instance makes its arrival there. The British songstress still tries to catch up on the success of her debut album Our Version Of Events (#3 and certified with Gold in late 2012). Last but not least, Jack Harlow gets his first chart notation with Come Home The Kids Miss You at #9.
Other talking points this week: Charli XCX still holds up really well with Crash, though it leaves the Top5 for the first time in its eighth charting week (5-8). Several albums leave the Top10 due to the new arrivals, but the most surprising one is surely Sofi Tukker’s Wet Tennis, which already drops 4-11. Both of their previous chart entries have been successes, so this may end up as their first underperformance. Maren Morris‘ Humble Quest also leaves the Top10, but with just a slight drop (10-13) and the album also gets certified with Gold this week, making it her third release doing so following Hero and Girl.

Bubbling Under
Spoiler! The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 also takes the Bubbling Under chart over by storm, as an impressive eight songs from the contest make appearances on this list, with Belgian contestant Jérémie Makiese taking the top spot with his song Miss You. The song already made a short appearance at #3 a few weeks ago and is one of two re-entries, with the other being the Italian entry Brividi by Mahmood and Blanco at #5.
The second most successful Eurovision entry on this list is Die Together by Amanda Tenfjord at #3, who will represent Greece. Miss You and Die Together were both really close to making appearances on the main list and should move over on that chart next week. Marius Bear’s Boys Do Cry (#4, Switzerland), Monika Liu’s Sentimentai (#7, Lithuania), Vladana’s Breathe (#8, Montenegro), Andrea’s Circles (#9, North Macedonia) and WRS’ Llámame (#10, Romania) are the other Eurovision new entries.
Finally, one more new entry to go and it’s the only one that isn’t Eurovision related. Sigrid just released her second studio album How To Let Go, and A Driver Saved My Night stands out the most and debuts at #2 this week.
The only surviving entry from last week is Charli XCX‘ Roll With Me, that drops 2-6. This means that even the top song from Faun completely leaves the list this week.

You're still a Eurovision superfan.
"In Corpore Sano" is just something else this year really, that spicy bit every edition desperately needs.
"Die Together" is really good, "Sentimentai" is ethereal, "Circles" is quite underrated, "Llamame" is a guilty pleasure.
Honestly, I.M. is such a hot mess runway kind of song.Waffles are checked cookies

I still think this year doesn't come close to the last few years in terms of quality, but I still like most entries this year & there are also some good highlights.
I'm excited to see how In corpore sano will do tomorrow... hopefully she lives up to the hype. Definitely a big grower for me there if the live performance clicks.
Die Together left me rather underwhelmed yesterday... don't see why she's that high with the odds, studio version > live version though.
Circles is good but sadly I don't think she won't go through as semi 2 is much stronger, could've qualified if part of semi 1 for sure. Llamame is good, excited for the live performance!
Haha... yeah, will be interesting to see if people will enjoy I.M or not... I fear for the second

Originally posted by Tansike View PostI'm still amazed by Shinigami Eyes, truly her best song ever. I'm just a little worried that she may get back into the usual messy album campaigns, as it's already been months since Shinigami Eyes was released. I was excited when she followed Player Of Games up so quickly, like during a "real" album campaign. I really wish we get a new single soon-ish.
Originally posted by Tansike View PostTruly Ed overkill - and the interesting part is, Bad Habits and Shivers are still his best charting songs all around the world, everything ever since has been rather underperforming. But yes, 2step was one of my few highlights on =, so I'm not mad about the proper single release, though the feature doesn't add much to the song. What are your thoughts about the remix?I guess I'm feeling that "Ed overkill" you mentioned. = was already (probably?) my least-favorite album of his, and then he kept releasing a bunch of random collabs too, so I'm not that interested in = remixes at this point.
Originally posted by Tansike View PostGlad to hear Words got you back into Zara mood, though it seems like through the release of Words, you actually like her discography more than you actually like Words at the moment?I think it's not a bad song, but I don't think it will go higher on my charts, sadly.
I was NOT expecting this, but I'm extremely here for it
Things have been so competitive with Faun, Ru/Drag Race, Eurovision (and more), I never dreamt that a "Taylor's Version" would break through all that! Is this a case where you've always loved "This Love" and the Taylor's Version gave you a reason to finally chart it as a single, or did this version help you get into the song for the first time?
- Beautiful Top 5 start for Gaga too! I get why people are underwhelmed by it (I had a pretty "meh" reaction when it first dropped), but its comforting/consoling message is appreciated
- Meanwhile, Tove can't even crack the Top 10
This one's really grown on me this week, so hopefully it'll do the same for you
- Ava's, on the other hand, I still have mixed feelings about. It's definitely catchy, but for some reason it isn't grabbing me/sticking with me the way a lot of her other songs did. Maybe there's just too much pop competition right now?
- Awesome that CRASH is still hanging inside your Top 10 albums despite 5 debuts in that region!
Yet another loveable chart, Tancel!

I guess "mixtapes" are like a loophole when an artist wants to make whatever music they want to make without any interference from their label, because an "album" would be part of their contract ("you're signed to us for your next 3/4/etc albums"), so the label would have to oversee the process and approve of it? AKA "mixtape" = freedom, "album" = label meddling? (On the flipside, I assume that means labels don't help fund mixtapes much/at all)?Though in the case of Number 1 Angel, I feel like the work behind the record has been big and I definitely see it as a proper album.

I want to respect her creative process, but her unpredictability does require patience from fans, and these single drops with random stretches inbetween can feel like a c*cktease sometimes.
You summed it up perfectly... her being so "messy" is just so her and fans probably love and hate her for that at the same time

IMO Hold My Hand is great and a lot of people just like to complainIt also just rose to #13 on the Swiss Singles Charts, my country just loves Gaga doing ballads it seems, as we were the first country where Shallow became a massive hit, we also supported Million Reasons a lot (Top10 hit) <3 I wouldn't be surprised if Hold My Hand actually becomes a nice hit for her.
Tove Lo's new song is definitely suffering a bit from how busy the charts is at the moment, Top10 could have been possible for sure otherwise. I think it's one of her best songs in a while... and #12 is also a great debut for her, being her 7th highest peaking chart entry from 19 entries overall.
SameI'm even somewhat disappointed in Maybe You're The Problem. Not the "comeback" I was waiting for from her.
<3
Thank you!

My Charts - week 19/2022 – 13 may 2022 - Eurovision craziness
.
Singles Top40
Spoiler!Note: Even though week 19/2022 probably gets posted after the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, I made sure to compile the charts and write the text for the Singles Top40 already before the Grand Final aired on Saturday evening.
Following the two Semi Finals that were happening on Tuesday and Thursday, it’s no surprise to see the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 completely taking over the Singles Top40 this week - with seven more new arrivals and two re-entries, there are a total of 29 Eurovision entries on the Top40 this week, from 40 possible entries! There are also a bunch of other Eurovision related entries on the charts this week, so everything that has nothing to do with the biggest music event in the world has a hard time on the charts right now.
Let’s take a first look at the Top3 of the week, where there may be a first shocker, as Andromache’s Ela rises 3-1 to become the second chart-topping Eurovision entry of the year. The shocking thing about that climb is that Cyprus, who has become a fan favorite over the last few years, actually missed out on the Grand Final and didn’t move pass the second Semi Final. Meanwhile, Poland’s entry - Ochman’s River - was a true highlight in the second Semi Final and while the song already did well in the last few weeks, it gets a big boost and jumps 14-2 this week. It’s closely followed by S10’s De Diepte, who represented the Netherlands in the first Semi Final, also made it through the Grand Final and jumps 13-3 for a new peak.
New and re-entries this week: There are also four debuts on the charts this week that aren’t actual entries in the contest, but three of these four new tracks are actually by former Eurovision winners. That makes it even more impressive how the highest debut of the week is the one that isn’t Eurovision related at all: Noah Cyrus! The singer will release her full-length debut album soon and chose Mr. Percocet as its second single, that makes a great first impression and debuts at #12.
Last years Eurovision winners Måneskin from Italy debut at #14 with their new single Supermodel, the Swedish Eurovision winner from 2012 Loreen makes it to #17 with her new single Neon Lights, while Israel’s winner from 2018 Netta arrives at #23 with I Love My Nails.
Emma Muscat’s I Am What I Am (#18, Malta) and Nadir Rustamli’s Fade To Black (#30, Azerbaijan) are the two re-entries, with Emma missing out on the Grand Final, while WRS’ Llámame (#24, Romania), Jérémie Makiese’s Miss You (#25, Belgium), Monika Liu’s Sentimentai (#34, Lithuania), Amanda Tenfjord’s Die Together (#35, Greece), Marius Bear’s Boys Do Cry (#38, Switzerland), Maro’s Saudade, Saudade (#39, Portugal) and Reddi’s The Show (#40, Denmark) are the seven new entries from the actual contest. Six of these will be part of Saturday’s big show, with only Reddi’s The Show not being part of the Grand Final.
Other Eurovision entries this week: Following many underperformances in most recent years, Spain is finally a frontrunner at the contest again and Chanel’s SloMo also jumps 14-5 this week. Joining her in the Top10 are Systur, who represent Iceland with Með hækkandi sól (34-6), We Are Domi’s Lights Off (17-8, Czech Republic) and Stefan’s Hope (18-9, Estonia), with the latter two being no strangers to the charts as both are already certified with Gold. Ireland was definitely a shocking non qualifier, as their entry That’s Rich by Brooke is a great Pop tune and rises back up 26-11 this week. Meanwhile, Ukraine is the one to beat and Kalush Orchestra’s Stefania also gets a huge boost following the first Semi Final, increasing 36-13 this week. Ronela Hajati’s Sekret was one of the most successful entries prior the contest, but sadly it’s the only one that actually suffers from its relatively bad live performance, as the Albanian entry drops 8-15 this week. Sheldon Riley’s Not The Same (31-16, Australia), Alvan & Ahez’ Fulenn (28-19, France) and Rosa Linn’s Snap (29-20, Armenia) join her in the Top20.
Lumix & Pia Maria’s Halo (30-21, Austria), Subwoolfer’s Give That Wolf A Banana (23-22, Norway), The Rasmus’ Jezebel (40-27, Finland), Konstrakta’ In corpore sano (33-28, Serbia), Sam Ryder’s Spaceman (38-29, UK), Mia Dimsic’s Guilty Pleasure (39-31, Croatia) and Michael Ben Ddvid’s I.M (27-32, Israel) make the list of Eurovision entries complete.
One final special shoutout goes to Keiino, who represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 and drop 6-26 with their current single Mother Of The Night.
With all the new entries from this week, more than 200 different songs have made an entry on the Singles Top40 in 2022 now.
Among several huge fallers, I Hate People (Willow Pill) by The Cast Of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 14 is the biggest loser by dropping 4-33. The title for the biggest climber goes to Systur’s Með hækkandi sól.

My Charts - week 19/2022 – 13 may 2022 - Eurovision craziness
.
Album Top20
Spoiler! It’s absolutely no surprise, but the compilation for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 stays at number one for its third non-consecutive week this time. With the two Semi Final making their huge impacts on the singles and Bubbling Under charts this week, there was basically no way another album could take the top spot this week. With this, the compilation becomes the longest running number one album of the year so far, as it’s the first release spending more than two weeks atop the list now.
The highest of three new arrivals comes in at #3 with Dance Fever, the fifth studio album by Florence + The Machine. Surprisingly, Dance Fever is just the second chart notation for Florence, who previously also debuted and peaked at #3 with High As Hope four years ago.
Faun’s Pagan stays at #2 and completes the Top3.
Other new entries this week: Kendrick Lamar is finally back with a new record after a break of some years, as the critically acclaimed rapper released Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers this week. The record becomes his fourth chart notation by arriving at #6 this week, following To Pimp A Butterfly (#6 in early 2016), untitled unmastered. (#9 in early 2016 as well), and Damn. (#5 in 2017). Finally, the third and last debut belongs to The Chainsmokers, who also get their fourth chart entry with their comeback album So Far So Good at #7. It ties the peak of their previous release World War Joy, while they peaked at #2 with the Collage EP and at #9 with Memories… Do Not Open, both being from 2017.
Other talking points this week: There were already many new entries in the Top10 last week and most of them actually stay up high, with especially Sigrid’s How To Let Go (4-5) and Emeli Sandé’s Let’s Say For Instance (7-8) only having small drops, while Skylar Grey’s self-titled album (6-9) and Halestorm’s Back From The Dead (5-10) stay in the upper half too. Rammstein’s Zeit also holds up really well, as it only dips 3-4 in its third week. Meanwhile, Crash by Charli XCX may leave the upper half for its first time ever (8-11), but with Number 1 Angel completely falling out (ex #19), Crash now becomes Charli’s longest charting album ever. While Halsey’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power rises back up 17-13, one last shoutout goes to Rosalia’s Motomami (12-14). The critically acclaimed album has been a slow burner on the charts and despite having no entries on the Singles Top40, Motomami actually gets certified with Gold this week, becoming Rosalia’s very first certification ever.

My Charts - week 19/2022 – 13 may 2022 - Eurovision craziness
.
Bubbling Under
Spoiler! The Eurovision craziness also takes over the Bubbling Under chart and it’s interesting how besides Måneskin, Loreen and Netta on the main chart, yet another former Eurovision winner released a new single this week as well, with Conchita Wurst, the Austrian winner from 2014. Their new single is called Car (Idhlargt) and takes the top spot on the Bubbling Under chart.
Vladana’s Breathe (8-2, Montenegro) and Andrea’s Circles (9-6, North Macedonia) already charted on the Bubbling Under chart last week and improve following their performances on the second Semi Final, while the Italian entry Brividi by Mahmood and Blanco dips 5-7. With Zdob și Zdub & Frații Advahov’s Trenulețul (#3, Moldova), Achille Lauro’s Stripper (#5, San Marino), Intelligent Music Project’s Intention (#8, Bulgaria), Circus Mircus’ Lock Me In (#9, Georgia) and LPS’ Disko (#10, Slovenia), five more Eurovision entries make the list this week.
Sigrid’s A Driver Saved My Night completes the chart and holds up relatively well by only falling 2-4.

Systur were one of my faves from their national final, such a comforting song.
"Ela" was a missed opportunity.
Maneskin new song is a bit dire for me imo.
"Llamame" is an earworm.
All those past ESC winners simultaneously (Loreen, Netta, Conchita, Maneskin) releasing new music during the Eurovision week.Waffles are checked cookies
