What an amazing achievement for Lana. So I see it right, all of her Singles have reached #1 on your personal Charts? Flawless.
Yes, all her songs hit #1 so far. And from all singers who only got number ones so far, she has the second most with 8... Miley Cyrus has currently eleven hits and all of them reached the top spot... but Lana could come close with the new era. Anyway, one of them get another hit this time...
week 24/2014 – 12 june 2014 Maleficent Vs. the Bangerz Tour
Singles Top40
It wasn’t such a busy week like last time, when four new entries hit the Top10, but there was still a lot action going on, including a new number one. I’m a person who rarely watch movies in the cinema, but when i do it, then there’s the chance to see an effect on the charts too. The best example for this is probably Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”, which started to smash on the charts right after i watched ‘The Hobbit’. The soundtrack even hit number one on the album charts. And this is actually how this week’s number one happened. I went to see the magnificent ‘Maleficent’ last week and the song for the movie is called “Once Upon A Dream” – sung by charts empress Lana Del Rey. While the song was released a few weeks ago, it never got my attention... until it was played after the movie and now the song really got me and Lana debuts atop of the Singles Top40 with her 9th entry. Also quite interesting as she debuted atop of the charts last week too.
Within Temptation’s “And We Run” remains at number two. And despite having lots of hit singles, it’s actually the first song to spend its first three weeks inside the Top3 since “Paradise” did so last autumn, and being more serious with it it’s even the first song to spend its first three weeks inside the Top2 since “Faster” spent its first four weeks on top in early 2011. Last weeks number one, “West Coast” by Lana, is down 1-3.
The mysterious “Worlds Apart” by Seven Lions and Kerli gets a new peak by climbing 7-4. Nicole Scherzinger’s “Your Love” slips 4-5 and Sia’s “Chandelier” is out of the Top3 after only one week (3-6). “Shatter Me” by Lindsey Stirling falls two places for the third time in a row (5-7 this time) and is followed by her other single “Beyond The Veil”, which is up 9-8. After the impressive climb last week, Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” is down 6-9. The last song of the Top10 is a bit surprising, as it’s already charting for ages. Due to her concert here in Zurich last saturday, Miley Cyrus’ never-dying “Wrecking Ball” rises 20-10. It never left the Top20 in its 42-week-chartrun and topped the charts for impressive nine non-consecutive weeks.
Ariana Grande’s “Problem” leaves the Top10 for the first time by falling 8-11 in its eighth week on the charts. It’s still her song with the most first weeks inside the Top10 as “The Way” ‘only’ spent the first six weeks there. Reaching a new peak inside the Top20 is Anastacia. Her newest release “Stupid Little Things” was released a few weeks ago and peaked at #16 shortly before it fell out again due to lots of new entries from the Eurovision Song Contest. Now, a bit later, the song climbs back and gets a new height by climbing 27-15.
While “Wrecking Ball” rose back to the Top10, there are a few re-entries due to Miley’s concert. The highest re-entry is the more or less current single “Adore You” which is back at #19 for a 19th week. “Can’t Be Tamed” is back at #26. It topped the charts for nine non-consecutive weeks back in 2010, so the same impressive amount like “Wrecking Ball”. And as if this wouldn’t be already impressive enough, Miley even got a third single that hit the top spot for nine weeks: “The Climb” (in 2009) – and these were consecutive! Back to this week: The last re-entry comes in at #32 with “We Can’t Stop”.
Shakira drops a lot with “Dare” in its second week (10-21), but with the start of the World Cup it may rise again in the coming weeks. Falling out of the Top20 is “Paradise” by Within Temptation (19-23), but this shouldn’t worry them too much as the song is celebrating its 30th week on the charts.
There are two more new entries. New Zealand singer Lorde gets a third entry as “Tennis Court” arrives at #29 (both previous singles “Royals” and “Team” peaked at #9) and irish/german singer Rea Garvey gets his first appearance ever with “Can’t Say No” at #36.
The biggest climber is Anastacia’s “Stupid Little Things” while the biggest loser is Shakira’s “Dare (La La La)”.

Album Top20
No new entry, but three re-entries this week. It’s actually like the calm before the storm, as there’ll be lots of new entries next week (Lana Del Rey, Jennifer Lopez, Linkin Park), and all of them are pretty big names. Anyway, the biggest action that happened this week is due to the concert by Miley Cyrus last saturday, as she hit Zurich with her Bangerz Tour. And after Bruno Mars hit number one after his concert last autumn and Within Temptation slayed the whole charts earlier this year after their concert, it was pretty safe to see Miley getting lots of attention this time.
And this really happened, means her current album “Bangerz” rises 13-1, getting a seventh non-consecutive week on top. It still needs one week more to get as many as the previous album “Can’t Be Tamed” got – eight. “Tamed” spent these eight weeks in its first eight weeks on top in 2010 and is now back at #7 for a 32nd week. The last album by Miley which makes an appearance is “The Time Of Our Lives” at #19.
“Hydra” by Within Temptation remains stable at #2, so the same position like the current single “And We Run”. Meanwhile, “Beauty & The Beat” is down 1-3 for Tarja and Mike Terrana.
Former Nightwish singer Anette Olzon remains at #4 with “Shine” while Lindsey Stirling’s “Shatter Me” already leaves the Top3 after only five weeks (3-5). Her debut album spent 16 weeks inside the Top3. US DJ and producer Seven Lions hit the top spot earlier this year with his EP “Worlds Apart”. After falling week by week, the EP started to pick up again last week and is now back in the Top10 again (11-6), mostly due to the release of the title track. And with an upcoming video it may get an even bigger push. Clean Bandit falls 5-8 with “New Eyes”, Ed Sheeran re-peaks for a third time at #9 (up from #14) and Coldplay close the Top10 with “Ghost Stories” (down from #6).
After eight weeks the compilation for the Eurovision Song Contest falls out of the Top10 for the first time (7-11). Only the compilation from 2012 spent less weeks inside the Top10 (seven). Also out of the Top10 are “Sheezus” by Lily Allen (9-12), “Mother Earth” by Within Temptation (8-13) and the self-titled album by The Common Linnets (10-14).
Finally, as mentioned there’s a third little re-entry as estonian singer Kerli is back with “Utopia” at #17.

Airplay Top10
More or less a not so exciting week on the Airplay Top10. There happened a lot, but none of the new- or re-entries got any significantly high plays. And so the events that were the reasons for some climbs/new entries on both the Singles Top40 and Album Top20 have also an effect on the Airplay Top10.
Lana Del Rey’s “Once Upon A Dream” makes the debut on top with 63 plays over the last week. That’s still 28 more than its closest follower, album-track “Do My Thang” from Miley Cyrus’ current album “Bangerz”. The song is back for a eighth week and even reaches a new peak. Rounding up the Top3 is another album track as “4x4” is back there, re-peaking as it hit #3 a week after the album release week.
Miley’s ‘Bangerz-Tour’ brought some more re-entries: “FU” re-peaks at #4, the smash hit “Wrecking Ball” re-enters at #5 for a 20th week and the dubstep-influenced power-pop-ballad “Drive” comes back at #8. All of her hits already got a massive amount of playes earlier this year and last year.
Another re-entry comes from Seven Lions. His “Worlds Apart” featuring the hit maker Kerli made a short appearance a few weeks ago and gets a new peak this time at #6. Nicole Scherzinger falls 4-7 in her second week with “Your Love” while another song who made its debut last week – “West Coast” by Lana Del Rey – tumbles 1-9. Closing the charts is Lindsey Stirling with “Shatter Me” (7-10).
Plays of the Top10 went down by 89 to 296 (-23.1%) compared to last week.

week 25/2014 – 19 june 2014 The Charts Empress is back
Singles Top40
After two weeks with a different song by Lana Del Rey on top, the charts empress gets a lucky third as she gets a third consecutive new entry directly on top. The lucky song is “Ultraviolence”, the title track of her newest album and becomes her 10th number one hit. The song “Worlds Apart” by Seven Lions and Kerli comes dangerously close by climbing 4-2 in its third week on the charts. It’s currently a big competitor for next weeks number one, depends on how strong Lana will be or if there will be a big new entry.
The other two songs by Lana Del Rey are “West Coast” (3-3) as the lead single of her album and “Once Upon A Dream” (1-4) as a soundtrack single for the “Maleficent” movie. Within Temptation and Xzibit are leaving the Top3 for the very first time with their collaboration “And We Run” (2-5). Another collaboration – “Shatter Me” by Lindsey Stirling and Lzzy Hale – is up 7-6. The song topped the charts for three consecutive weeks, being the only song to do so this year and this little step up is the first time it’s climbing in its chartrun. Out from eight new entries in total, two are in the Top10, with the highest one being already revealed. The second highest ones comes in at #7. After the surprising big hit “Hold On”, Colbie Caillat released “Try” as a new single from the new digital EP “Gypsy Heart (Side A)” and gets another Top10 hit, but “Try” is her first song to debut that high.
Nicole Scherzinger is down 5-8 with “Your Love”, Lindsey Stirling’s “Beyond The Veil” slips 8-9 and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” closes the Top10 (9-10).
Australian singer Sia leaves the Top10 after three weeks with “Chandelier” (6-11). Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” also leaves them by falling 10-13, but it’s still doing fantastic in its 43rd week. A third new entry lands in the Top20 as Linkin Park debuts with “Until It’s Gone”. It’s their second appearance of their newest album “The Hunting Party”, but “Until It’s Gone” outpeakes the lead single “Guilty All The Same” easily (debuted and peaked at #38 earlier this year). Not new but at least back in the Top20 is Shakira’s “Dare (La La La)” (21-20).
After incredible 20 weeks, Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” falls out of the Top20 (18-21). Anastacia’s newest song “Stupid Little Things” also falls out of the Top20 after the unexpected increase last week (15-22).
Time to look at all the other new entries. Two of them are by Jennifer Lopez. The star got several other hits in the previous years, but it was pretty quiet lately. Until now as with the release of her new album called “A.K.A.” the two singles “First Love” (#23) and “I Luh Ya Papi” (#29) make their debut. German Schlager sensation Helene Fischer lands her third appearance this year with “Marathon” at #25. It’s the lowest peak of all these songs though, as “Fehlerfrei” peaked at #13 and “Atemlos durch die Nacht” missed the top spot by only one position (#2). A chart newcomer is the band Clean Bandit. The UK formation got their first hit a bit earlier this year with “Rather Be” (#20; nine weeks on the charts). This week they get a second entry with “Extraordinary” debuting at #28. The last entry is “Wiggle” by Jason DeRulo at #39.
While Miley can celebrate the 20th week on the charts with “Adore You” (19-30), ESC queen Conchita Wurst celebrates the tenth week on the charts with “Rise Like A Phoenix” (33-40).
It was a bad week for all songs that charted last week as there are barely big climbers. Actually, with rising only two places, Seven Lions & Kerli’s “Worlds Apart”, Emmelie De Forest’s “Rainmaker” (20-18) and Anette Olzon’s “Lies” (28-26) are the biggest climbers this week. Meanwhile, Coldplay tumbles 22-35 with “Magic” as the biggest loser.

Album Top20
This week was a really exciting week. A total of four new entries are on the charts, and three of them are actually pretty big names, but in the end it was pretty clear who gets the crown. Empress Lana Del Rey debuts on top of the Album Top20 with “Ultraviolence”, the follow-up to her second album “Born To Die”, which charted for incredible 78 weeks and topped the album charts for 12 non-consecutive weeks. With 11x Gold it’s currently the highest-certified album. So the big debut for “Ultraviolence” isn’t surprising at all, and now she even got three singles inside the Top5 of the Singles Top40 to push the album more.
It will be interesting to see how “Ultraviolence” will do in the following week. “Born To Die” was the biggest album of 2012, and the biggest album of 2013 was the self-titled debut album by Lindsey Stirling, who released the follow-up “Shatter Me” (5-9 this week) just around two months ago. So will one of these take the crown this year again?
Another entry lands at number two as Linkin Park debuts there with their sixth album “The Hunting Party”. It’s already their third entry on the album charts, and also their highest one, as it outpeaks “Living Things” (#6) and “Recharged” (#8). Since both of them charted for only three weeks, “The Hunting Party” has the chances to become their biggest hit on the album charts so far. Closing the Top3 is Anette Olzon. The singer is up 4-3 with her album “Shine”, being back in the Top3 for a seventh week. The album is getting certified with Platinum this week, becoming the second album released this year to do so.
Within Temptation is down 2-4 with “Hydra”. The album celebrates its 20th week on the charts. After the concert effect pushed the album back to the top, Miley’s “Bangerz” is already down 1-5 this time. The third entry of the week comes in at number six as Jennifer Lopez arrives there with her newest album “A.K.A.”. This low debut is due to no hit at the moment, and it’s a lot lower than the #2-debut of her last record “Love?”, which even spent seven weeks inside the Top5. “Beauty & The Beat” by Tarja and Mike Terrana is down 3-7, becoming the fastest album to leave the Top5 so early for Tarja.
The fourth and last new entry is Colbie Caillat’s EP “Gypsy Heart (Side A)”. It’s Colbie’s first entry on the album charts and it debuts at #8. Another EP on the charts is the “Worlds Apart” EP by Seven Lions which is down 6-10. An EP seems to become the new ‘in’-thing, as US electronica singer Owl City also releases a new EP later this month instead of a new album and he should get a high debut too as he got a number one hit earlier this year with “Beautiful Times”.
Clean Bandit’s “New Eyes” (8-11), Miley Cyrus’ “Can’t Be Tamed” (7-12), Ed Sheeran’s “+” (9-14) and Coldplay’s “Ghost Stories” (10-17) are all out of the Top10 this week. While Miley and Ed were outside of them before, it’s the first time to drop that low for the UK acts Clean Bandit and Coldplay.

Airplay Top10
The Charts Empress also reigns the airplay charts and makes the charts invasion this week complete. While debuting on top on the Singles Top40, the title track of her new album “Ultraviolence” also got the most plays last week – 91 to be exact. That’s clearly enough to top the Airplay Top10 too, dethroning her own “Once Upon A Dream”.
The promo single “Brooklyn Baby” got the second most plays with 34, so it makes its debut at number two. Closing the Top3 on the Airplay Top10 is the single “West Coast”, which is up 9-3 and has now the same position like on the Singles Top40.
“Money Power Glory” came close and enters the charts at #4. Promo single “Shades Of Cool” starts at #5. Even the rest of the Airplay Top10 is full with songs from “Ultraviolence”: “Pretty When You Cry” is new at #6, “Old Money” comes in at #7, “****ed My Way To The Top” starts at #8, “The Other Woman” at #9 and “Sad Girl” comes in as the last song.
There are four album tracks more that just missed the charts. Album opener “Cruel World” and album closer “Florida Kilos” got 15 plays, “Black Beauty” and “Guns and Roses” got 14 plays.
Plays of the Top10 went up by 35 to 331 (+11.8%) compared to last week.

I need to check out Linkin Park's new album, I'm sure it contains a couple of great songs.
It's a bit 'harder' than their last record, i'd say it's a step back to the sound of their debut. But yeah, it has some great songs on it
