Nice to see my favourite ESC entries ("Undo", "Calm After The Storm", "Silent Storm") all in your top 30!
Good top ten entry for Rita Ora.
Glad to see we share nearly the same faves from the ESC

Yes, that was actually kinda unexpected for me. I knew there'll be some votes for her and i actually thought she would get one or two awards, but i didn't expect her to get all three Reader's choice awards
Anyway, surely deserved and thanks for voting!

                • I'll have to check out Lindsey's "All of Me" cover. I'm already getting excited just thinking about what she did with it. I actually introduced one of my friends to "Shatter Me" and "Crystallize" and, in a matter of days, she managed to check out Shatter Me and she said she loved it. I need to follow suit now.

I have no qualms with your #1, but I wish Conchita had managed to grab the top spot instead. I've become so infatuated with her...I'm blown away by you charting all of my favourite ESC entries this year! "Undo", "Calm After the Storm", "Dancing in the Rain", and, of course, "Rise Like a Phoenix" are my Top 4 favourites of this year's contest too!

Well, it's not a cover. John Legend and Lindsey shot a video for it, so he's still singing while she's playing violin If you liked the original "All Of Me", then you'll like that one surely too!
Glad she loved it! Let me know as soon as you checked the album too

I really like Conchita's "Phoenix", she even was my fave to win on the ESC, but after all the song is not as great as previous winners like Emmelie or Loreen. "Shatter Me" on the otherside is still kinda epic for me, so it was a pretty clear race this time. I guess #2 will be the peak for "Phoenix" too... But i love her and i hope we'll get an album soon!
Glad you like these other ESC entries too

Oh and... i didn't know you know/like Aneta Sablik's "The One"!

                      week 21/2014 – 22 mai 2014 Top10 entries for Coldplay and Kylie
                      • Singles Top40

Lindsey Stirling (and Lzzy Hale, of course) just won’t give up. Her current single “Shatter Me” is strong enough to get a third consecutive week on top, becoming the first song this year to spend more than two weeks at number one. The closest competitors remain the ESC entries, but this time there’s a little change compared to last week. While winner Conchita Wurst climbed to number two one week ago, it’s swedish singer Sanna Nielsen who places herself behind Lindsey. Her ballad “Undo” reaches a new peak through this (3-2) and switches places with Conchita’s “Rise Like A Phoenix” (2-3).

The other release from Lindsey’s second album “Shatter Me”, “Beyond The Veil”, is up 5-4 for a third week inside the Top5. Emmelie De Forest also climbs with “Rainmaker” (9-5) and celebrates the tenth week on the charts. “Rainmaker” is getting certified with Gold, being the only single with a certification inside the Top10 this time.

After the re-entry last week, Coldplay’s “Magic” is rising a lot (21-6), becoming their third Top10 single ever and the first for over two years. They just released their new album “Ghost Stories” which makes its debut on the Album Top20 this week. Ariana Grande remains stable at #7 with “Problem”, Hungarian ESC-entry “Running” by András Kállay-Saunders is down 6-8 while the dutch entry “Calm After The Storm” is down 4-10 for The Common Linnets. The last song inside the Top10 is the first of six new entries. Australian megastar Kylie Minogue gets her highest peaking single as a main act since “In My Arms” hit #3 in 2008 as newest release “I Was Gonna Cancel” debuts at #9.

Rita Ora’s “I Will Never Let You Down” (8-11) and Lady GaGa’s “G.U.Y.” (10-13) are out of the Top10 this week. While “I Will Never...” was in the Top10 for only one week so far, Lady GaGa’s song leaves them for the first time after eight weeks. There’s only one more ‘new’ song in the Top20 as Mei Finegold, Israel’s ESC entry, enters them with her song “Same Heart” by climbing 22-17. The song came second last in the second Semi-Final.

Out of six new entries this week, five landed outside the Top20. One misses them by just one place: “A Sky Full Of Stars” by Coldplay. It debuts at #21... and they even get one more new entry this week. “Midnight”, originally released over a month ago, debuts a bit lower at #30. So the band has currently three songs in the Top40, just like US violinist Lindsey Stirling (apart from “Shatter Me” and “Beyond The Veil” she got “Crystallize” which climbs 29-26 in its 65th week). Canadian newcomer Kiesza debuts at #32 with her breakthrough-hit “Hideaway”, while UK singer Paloma Faith gets her second entry ever with newest single “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” at #37. The sixth and last new entry is “Chandelier” by australian singer Sia. “Chandelier” is her first charts entry as a main act since “Clap Your Hands”, which topped the charts for two weeks in 2010.

What else happened this week? Birdy drops out of the Top20 for the first time with “Words As Weapons” (18-23). Within Temptation is back in the Top30 with their current single “Whole World Is Watching” (37-24). The dutch band is set to get a big debut next week as they release the next single tomorrow. Meanwhile, after an amazing stability, Ellie Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You” falls 23-29, being as low as never before in its 28th week on the charts.

“Magic” by Coldplay is the biggest climber while Avril Lavigne’s “Hello Kitty” (20-33) is the biggest loser this week.

                      • Album Top20

The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is already over and so is the reign of its yearly compilation. This means there’s a new number one on the Album Top20, or better said a new old one. Lindsey Stirling’s second release “Shatter Me” is back to the top after debuting there two weeks ago. With this, the album gets of course a second week, so still three weeks less than what her debut album spent on top. But after all, it’s just the fifth album to spend more than just one week on top this year, currently leaded by Within Temptation’s “Hydra” which spent five weeks on top.

So the ESC-compilation falls down to number two. Since the album charts started in 2010, all compilation were certified with Gold (the 2012 version even with Platinum) and so it’s kinda usual to see the 2014 version getting certified with Gold this week too. The first of two new entries closes the Top3 this week. Coldplay is back with a new album. While the band never got lots of attention on my charts, their last album “Mylo Xyloto” brought them their first single- and even their first album-entry on the charts. Now, their newest release “Ghost Stories” even becomes their first Top3-hit ever as it directly debuts at #3.

The second new entry just misses the Top3. Dutch band The Common Linnets were one of the biggest discoveries on this years Eurovision Song Contest. Their entry “Calm After The Storm” was the runner-up and already reached #4 on the Singles Top40 last week. This week their self-titled album “The Common Linnets” also brings them an entry on the Album Top20 at #4.

Another self-titled album, Lindsey Stirling’s debut album, is still doing fantastic even in its 65th week on the charts. It’s down 3-5 this week. Anette Olzon’s solo debut album “Shine” is up 7-6 after it fell some places over the last few weeks. Lily Allen’s “Sheezus” loses two places (5-7), while fellow UK singer Foxes is down 4-8 with her debut “Glorious”. After one week outside, “Hydra” by Within Temptation is back in the Top10. They could rise even more next week as they release the fourth single of the album tomorrow. The last album in the Top10 is Ed Sheeran’s “+” (9-10).

Epica’s “The Quantum Enigma” (6-11), Seven Lions’ “Worlds Apart EP” (8-13) and Ariana Grande’s “Yours Truly” (10-15) are out of the Top10 this week. Finally, after only two weeks in the charts, Kylie’s first charts appearance on the album charts with latest release “Kiss Me Once” wasn’t that successful, but now the album climbs back at #19 due to the new single “I Was Gonna Cancel”.

                      • Airplay Top10

For the third week in a row, Lindsey Stirling is reigning the Airplay Top10 with the songs of her newest album “Shatter Me”. While there were two non-Lindsey songs on the charts last week, both of them are out again and so Lindsey has all ten songs just like two weeks ago.

Like on the Singles Top40, second single and album title track “Shatter Me” featuring Lzzy Hale tops the Airplay Top10 for a third consecutive week. And while the song is now the only song with more than two weeks on top of the Singles Top40 this year, it’s now also the only song that spent three consecutive weeks on top of the Airplay Top10 this year. But, Tuomas Holopainen’s “A Lifetime Of Adventure” also spent three weeks on top, but non-consecutive.

The only other album track with vocals is “We Are Giants”, featuring Dia Frampton (The Voice US contestant). The song already reached a new peak in its second week and now also in its third week as it’s up 5-2. Closing the Top3 is “V-Pop” (2-3).

First single “Beyond The Veil” leaves the Top3 (3-4) while “Roundtable Rival” is up again one place (5-6). Album track “Mirror Haus” falls 4-6, “Night Vision” is back up 9-7 and “Take Flight” re-peaks at #8 after falling down to #10 the last time.

Back on the charts are the album tracks “Heist” (#9, new peak) and “Ascendance” (#10). Meanwhile, “Swag” and “Master Of Tides” remain the only album tracks with no entry so far, and both got 18 plays last week, only two less than “Ascendance” at #10.

Plays of the Top10 went down by 8 to 400 (-2.0%) compared to last week.

Good new entry for Sia, nice to see "Undo" in the top 2.

Haha it's not a flop - it's already her highest peaking single ever and will be her biggest one too! And i'm sure it'll have some nice longevity as i still think it's really great.

Oh you liked the album? It was my first Coldplay album, and i never liked them before, so for that it did pretty well Let's see how "Ghost Stories" will do for me

                                              • Singles Top40

After three consecutive weeks on top, Lindsey Stirling’s “Shatter Me” isn’t the charttopper this week anymore. There’s a new number one single, and from all 17 songs that made the top spot this year, it’s already the 13th song that immediately debuts there. And who is it? Well, it’s the dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. The fourth single release from their sixth album “Hydra” is called “And We Run”, features US-rapper Xzibit and becomes their third number one from that record and fourth overall.

The closest follower is the new single by Nicki Minaj. Nicki had some huge successes with her last album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded”, including two number one hits. “Pills N Potions” is now the official first single from the upcoming album “The Pink Print” and earns her another high-peaking single by debuting at #2. Rounding up the Top3 is “Shatter Me” by Lindsey Stirling and Lzzy Hale (1-3).

These two new entries were already the only new entries this week, which is way less compared to previous weeks. But there happened enough on the charts. Just missing the Top3 is australian singer Sia. Sia already got a hit in 2010 with “Clap Your Hands”, which topped the charts for two weeks then. Last week she just debuted on the last place of the charts just to rise an incredible 36 places this time (40-4). It’s now the biggest increase ever, surpassing the 36-2-climb from Colbie Caillat’s “Hold On” over two months ago. Sanna Nielsen’s “Undo” is down 2-5, Coldplay remain stable with “Magic” (6-6), “Rainmaker” by Emmelie De Forest slips 5-7 and Ariana Grande’s “Problem” is down 7-8. At #9 there’s a surprising song as “Whole World Is Watching” by Within Temptation climbs 24-9, coming back to the Top10 after eight weeks. The song previously peaked at number two. Closing the Top10 is Lindsey Stirling’s “Beyond The Veil” which drops 4-10.

Rita Ora just stays outside the Top10 for another week (11-11), but it’s now her longest-charting single, surpassing the four weeks of last years single “Radioactive”. ESC winner song “Rise Like A Phoenix” by Conchita Wurst (3-12) and hungarian entry “Running” by András Kállay-Saunders (8-13) fall out of the Top10. “Whole World Is Watching” isn’t the only song by Within Temptation that gets a big push. The first single of their current album, “Paradise (What About Us?)” featuring Tarja, re-enters the charts at #15, coming back for a 28th week. US R&B singer John Legend climbs into the Top20 for the very first time with his worldwide hit “All Of Me” (35-18).

Two songs that were in the Top10 the last time lose lots of places, even falling out of the Top20. The first one is dutch ESC entry “Calm After The Storm” by The Common Linnets, which is down 10-21. The other one is Kylie Minogue’s newest single “I Was Gonna Cancel”, which tumbles 9-26 after the surprising high debut last week. Not out of the Top10, but out of the Top20 for the first time is the never-dying “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran, which is down 15-22 in its 22nd week. It’s currently the biggest hit of the year.

Apart from Within Temptation’s “Paradise”, there are two more re-entries this week, but no more new entries. The second highest comeback is at #23 with Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” reaching a new peak. It previously peaked at #31 just a few weeks ago, and just became a number one hit on the US Hot 100. The last re-entry is Anastacia’s “Stupid Little Things” which is back at #38.

Lady GaGa celebrates her tenth week on the charts with “G.U.Y.” (13-16). A much bigger celebration goes to “Wrecking Ball”. Miley Cyrus’ biggest hit spends its 40th week on the charts, and never left the Top20 so far (16-20 this week). Her previous longest-charting single was “See You Again” back in 2008/2009, which charted for 31 weeks. Unfortunately, there was only a Top10 back then, so maybe “See You Again” would have charted several weeks more when there would have been a Top20 or even a Top40 like now.

Finally, two songs get a new certification this week and both are kinda special. The first one goes to Within Temptation’s “Mother Earth” (25-24 in its 11th week). While the song entered the charts after their concert here in Zurich, the song is actually already over ten years old and is now the oldest song with a certification. But it’s of course not the oldest Top10 single overall, as Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” climbed as high as #9 earlier this year. The second one goes to Pharrell William’s “Happy” (27-33). Despite being a worldwide hit and will probably top lots of Year-End Charts 2014, the song never reached the Top10 on the Singles Top40 and peaked at #13. But it showed incredible longevity, with charting for 19 weeks so far.

The biggest climber is Sia’s “Chandelier” while the biggest loser is Kylie Minogue’s “I Was Gonna Cancel”.

In a pretty surprising week, Lindsey Stirling isn’t on top again. It’s Within Temptation who takes the crown this time as their sixth studio album “Hydra” rises 9-1 in its 17th week on the charts. It previously topped the Album Top20 for five non-consecutive weeks in its first four weeks on the charts and the week after their concert here.

Lindsey’s “Shatter Me” slips 1-2 in its fourth week on the charts. It topped the charts for two weeks so far, so still three less than her self-titled debut album, which spent all its five weeks on top in its first five weeks on the charts. With all the big debuts in the coming weeks (Tarja next week, Lana Del Rey in mid-june, Ed Sheeran in late june) it will be hard for Lindsey to reach these five weeks though. Rounding up the Top3 is Anette Olzon’s “Shine” which is up 6-3 this week, brining its total weeks inside the Top3 to six.

The Compilation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is down 2-4 and should start to fall even more in the coming weeks as the ESC is now over. Coldplay sees a pretty mild second-week-drop as “Ghost Stories” is down 3-5. Despite being released over ten years ago, Within Temptation’s second full-length album “Mother Earth” is again back to the Top10 by climbing 18-6. It also gets certified with Gold, becoming their third certified album. Dutch country duo The Common Linnets are down 4-7 with their self-titled debut album while another self-titled debut album – the one by Lindsey Stirling – is down 5-8. The last two albums inside the Top10 are “Bangerz” by Miley Cyrus, which is up 12-9 and Lily Allen’s “Sheezus” which is down 7-10.

UK newcomer Foxes falls out of the Top10 with her debut album “Glorious” after only two weeks (8-11). Meanwhile, two older albums by Within Temptation are back on the charts. Their third album “The Silent Force” is back at #18, while their fourth album “The Heart Of Everything” is re-entering a bit higher at #15. So they’ve got four entries this week. Finally, after an impressive 39 weeks, Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon Days” falls out of the charts for the first time.

After having an Airplay Top10 full of Lindey Stirling tracks for three weeks, there are lots of other entries this time and only two songs by the US violinist ‘survived’. But whose new on top? Well, looking at the Singles Top40 and at the Album Top20 it’s pretty unsurprising to see Within Temptation’s “And We Run” getting the top spot this week. The song got incredible 154 plays, becoming the second most played weekly song now, only behind Emmelie De Forest’s “Rainmaker” which got 168 plays. “And We Run” already charted earlier this year due to the album release and peaked at #4 for four weeks, so it also gets a new peak.

The two singles “Paradise (What About Us?)” (#2) and “Whole World Is Watching” (#3) are also back on the Airplay Top10. The number one of the last three weeks, Lindsey Stirling’s “Shatter Me”, is down 1-4 this time, with 31 plays. It’s the first week the song got less than 100 plays in a week since its debut.

Anette Olzon’s wonderful ballad “Moving Away” is back, re-peaking at #5 for a fourth non-consecutive week. She’s followed by “Edge Of The World”, an album track by Within Temptation. The Dance Remix of their number one single “And We Run” makes an appearance at #7 while Nicki Minaj debuts at #8 with her new single “Pills N Potions”.

The last two tracks on the charts are “Living On Fire”, a song from the “And We Run”-EP by Within Temptation, and Lindsey Stirling’s “We Are Giants” (4-10).

Plays of the Top10 went up by 23 to 423 (+5.8%) compared to last week.
