Agreed. I do like the song a lot and think it's a good choice for the next single, but they've already done better. It sparked rumors about the band going on a hiatus or say goodbye forever, but guess it's just rumors as the band is as successful as never before.

Love the term Ukmixia haha <3 Yes, one of these songs that do well across several charts on here, but sadly nowhere else.

Well, Now Or Never was a great tune and peaked at #2 on my chart back then, so yay for that!

It's not high above all of her other albums, but probably my favorite body of works from hers to date, though nostalgia also plays a big role... my ranking would probably be like:

    1) A Year Without Rain, 2) Revival, 3) When The Sun Goes Down / Stars Dance, 4) Kiss & Tell, 5) Rare

Tough decision though. I truly like every albums of hers, though Rare is the only album of hers that never made me "feel" something if that makes sense. That one and everything ever since left me rather cold and I returned my stan card

Haha, it's 23 jk Also no worries, you can bring it up / mention it. It's not a "I don't celebrate it" in a negative way or so, it's just that it's a normal day like every other day in the year. I usually go to work also. I just never plan to do something exciting on that way, unless my partner plans something for me. Also speaking of it, he just spoiled me today and it seems I actually get the Taylor vinyl, because I ordered a boxset with vinyls from another fave that arrived in the mail today and he shockingly called me and asked if these are Taylor vinyls

Sure! And no problem, it's also a very long message (+ it took me a while to replay to yours too ) But yes, super excited to hear about your playthrough in Violet! I haven't played for 2-3 days now but was truly addicted before that - it's already my most played game ever on the Switch console! Got all 8 badges, all but one Titan & Team Star boss and started to fill out the dex now with I think 230 Pokémon caught <3 Though the more Pokémon I catch, the worse the graphics seems to get, so I'll probably move on to finish the main stories asap.

Also side note, but my partner who never ever played Pokémon (or even cared about the franchise) also started to play Scarlet (as I bought both games) and he's as far as me + played even more hours than me <3

Haha, no problem about that - though it is somewhat surprising how The Motto never clicked with you considering how well Ava has been doing for you (and the fact that this is her second biggest chart hit ever around the world). Ah, I actually know all these! Tiëso has been around for AGES actually, I still remember him from what feels like nearly 20 years ago!

I saw that!! Super happy for her ... and yep, Weapons is also slowly getting me back on track. The melody in its chorus always reminded me of something else and two days ago I finally realized what: Battlefield by Jordin Sparks. A gem of a song IMO, so the similarities I'm hearing are in a positive light to me.

    • Glad to see Rebecca so close to your Top 10! I hadn't paid much attention to her releases after "Friday," but I'm pretty obsessed with "Crumbs"
    • Looks like "Weapons" bounced back a little. Maybe it's growing on you a bit too...?
    • Any thoughts on the new Love Sux deluxe edition tracks?
    • I love that the Bubbling Under is the Taylor Top 10. I need to revisit "High Infidelity" and "Glitch" more

Yet another chart with plenty of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, & talent, Tancel!
My absolute fave placed sixth in the competition, but I knew she wouldn't win (a fellow Pokémon fan btw, she even did an Elesa inspired runway that I'm using as my current avi here) + in the final I was rooting for others than the one who won, but overall, I'm not mad like at all at who won. It was a fantastic season and a very deserved winner. I just love how I'm getting fed with so many seasons of my favorite show through the whole year!

Glad you're also on the Crumbs train! What a comeback for her - and I hope she can get some more attention for this, it's really good!

    Yes, see my thoughts above

I like the new songs on Love Sux... but they're just way too short to fully enjoy them. What do you think?

YES it's all about Taylor. There were rumors coming out about a show in Zurich and I screamed out loud in the office when I read them, and my heart was beating like crazy for a shockingly amount of minutes. That made me realize that I've truly became a stan of hers If these rumors turn true, I can't imagine a possible concert effect for hers... and I really really want to see her live one day, she never visited Switzerland so far. That would be like the best thing

You say you're out of the loop but you're familiar with the charisma, uniqueness, never & talent line? Love it!
    Thank you <3

Maybe it's just the simple fact that we love Pop music and it was refreshing to have an artist being so successful with pure Pop hits again when she came forward, and now we're back at having so many great Pop tunes being thrown at us so Ava doesn't stick out anymore. With that being said, I do think all three D&D singles sound very similar and that wasn't the case for the H&H singles. I'm truly worried for her.

Very nice, thanks! The video image looked familiar (YouTube's algorithm has probably been recommending it to my gay ass).

Crumbs is really good, I hope she gets more attention with this. I'm also really looking forward to her upcoming album next year, as Crumbs keeps growing for me and she's really giving me so much Pop potential.

Do you like "Hate My Heart"? For me, it's solid, as is even the worst 'Denim & Rhinestones' track, but I'd have wanted..."Wanted Woman"!

    ...
What? That's... not just annoying, but even disrespectful to the fans. I really hate when artists do that.
Also sad for Jaida, but LaLa Ri is definitely a good replacement (not the best possible, but there could be worse). Are you still going?

It's a good song, but far from my favorite one on Denim & Rhinestones. I still wish she would've pushed She Don't Know as a proper single - as you say, there are no weak songs on the album, however the title track, Velvet Heartbreak or Poor Everbody Else would be my personal choices for other singles.

No, that's not just you - hence the lower than usual debut on my chart. I like it, but it's not as strong as some of his earlier singles.

Yes, definitely. Still even one of my most favorite albums of all time. It's just pure Disney Pop joy from start to finish. Definitely a recommendation if you'd ever have time (and desire) to check it out.

Yes, it's based in Sweden, but no idea how it really works, as I can't imagine someone in Sweden putting out playlists for every different country. Would actually be an interesting thing to find out how this really works, as there are different playlists with different artists for each country, so there's so much work behind all of this. The thing is, it's different in every country... some countries seems to show more love to their local artists than others.

My heart aches seeing you put Lights last, but I've been in a similar situation with other artists (like Rina's debut EP, which I didn't check out until after I fell in love with SAWAYAMA. It's fine, but I don't feel any major attachment/enthusiasm for it, so I'd rank it well below her two proper albums).
Being a thirst trap is definitely a big part of Calvin, true!!

Yep, absolutely. Or also Charli XCX' True Romance. If you check out an album later than when it was originally released, it's difficult to trigger the same feelings.

Well, not yet. Also I'm glad I didn't rate Snow On The Beach as an actual single now as it's definitely not one. But... Lavender Haze seems to be pushed on the Pop radio now so let's see. Would love for this to be a proper single.

Also, the full Swiftiedom may start once she announces the European leg of her tour...

    • Glad to see Ava score another Top 10, but it sounds like we're in the same position of feeling less impressed by all these recent singles compared to the H&H era. I can't explain why either, cause it's not like she switched up her sound that much, but these all feel more forgettable in comparison (not totally terrible or anything, just a step down)
    • Is this acoustic-guitar sound something new for Kim? I read that it's her first single away from Dr. Luke, but I don't know her catalog enough to judge how drastic of a shift this song is (or isn't)
    • Damn, is this just the SECOND official single from Denim & Rhinestones?! Was she busy having another kid or something...?
    • Rina getting ahold of a beautiful Platinum cert
Yet another chart that showed me a good time, Tancel!
It is! And yes, it was. The Motto, Hot In It (with Charli XCX) and 10:35 are his only entries for me so far. Did he already had a chart entry prior to The Motto for you?

It somehow drives me crazy because I really want to enjoy her singles a lot more, and I also do enjoy them, but they never have the same replay value or that "wow" effect her H&H singles had on me.

Yes, Kim never did something like this previously, but it works well IMO. I'd really recommend her track Icy. She's more that pure Pop girl (basically a similar lane like Ava Max, Charli XCX' recent album, Tove Lo etc.)

Poor Carrie. But yeah, only the second single (though I always view She Don't Know as single too) and the long break between is even more weird considering the lead was her biggest flop in a while (or by far & ever just compared to all of her lead singles).

Finally - and her second together with Lucid. Two brilliant tunes for sure!!

    Thank you so much
