...
"My Hair" is the song where she sang the entire bridge in a whistle register. Thought that was a rather c*nt move by her and I loved it.I think I actually agree a bit on "Best Friend", it could have been better for sure.
Really need to revisit that album soon, it's already been a while since the last time I heard it

Singles Top40
Spoiler!2021 already proves to be an exciting year when it comes to new music, as there are an astonishing 11 new entries and one re-entry on the whole Singles Top40 this week, already bringing lots of changes to the table. The biggest changes come in directly on top of the charts, as the three most successful songs of the week are all new entries and they’re all related to something that has had a big impact on my charts in the past…
First things first with the new number one: Monument by Keiino. Keiino is a Norwegian Pop trio who released their debut single called Spirit In The Sky just two years ago. The song was their entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, where they finished sixth in the Grand Final (and first in the public voting). Spirit In The Sky also proved to be a hit on My Charts, as it peaked at #1 and ended up ninth on the Year-End Charts 2019. Ever since that song, Keiino became one of the most successful Eurovision artists ever, as Monument is already their ninth single to reach the charts and all of them peaked in the Top10, however Monument is only their second top hit so far. The song is also Keiino’s entry at Melodi Grand Prix 2021, the Norwegian Eurovision pre-selection, as the band tries to represent their country at the contest yet again.
The runner-up spot goes to the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise. The series already produced several chart hits in the last few years and the own music by its contestants also proved to be a hit, with 2020 also finally producing Gold certified hits for RuPaul herself (U Wear It Well), but also for contestants Blair St. Clair (9 Lives, Space Between) and Jujubee (Tonight Or Forever). Season 13 of the series just started and one half of the contestants already had to do a musical number that also got officially released and therefor finds its way onto My Charts at #2 - it’s called ConDragulations as is officially credited as The Cast Of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 13.
Completing the Top3 is violinist Lindsey Stirling, who had her breakthrough already eight years ago and has become one of the biggest hit makers ever on My Charts. Her new single is called Lose You Now, is a collaboration with relatively unknown singer Mako and debuts at #3 as his first, and her 36th chart entry to date. Even more impressively, Lindsey’s lowest peaking songs are the two #4 peaking Christmas singles You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch (feat. Sabrina Carpenter) and Santa Baby, both from 2018.
Other new and re-entries this week: This time we’re starting with the re-entry, as it’s the highest of the entries below the Top3. Ariana Grande already scored a Top10 hit with 34+35 last year, but decided to give the song another boost through a new remix with Rap phenomenons Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion. The original solo version also started to take off again on the charts out there and the remix brings the track back to #7 this week. It’s directly followed by another new arrival, as Lana Del Rey starts at #8 with Chemtrails Over The Country Club. It’s the second single of her new upcoming album with the same name, and is currently her lowest peaking and second lowest debuting song to date. Her lowest debuting song was Doin’ Time, which only arrived at #11 in mid 2019, but ended up with a #4 peak, a Gold certification and overall as Lana’s biggest hit since High By The Beach in mid 2015, so there’s still a chance to see Chemtrails Over The Country Club doing well over the weeks or even improving over its debut position.
German DJ and producer VIZE has already teamed up with several artists and already scored several chart entries in the German speaking countries, though only one of those made it onto My Charts with Close Your Eyes, a collaboration with Felix Jaehn and Miss Li (#18 in 2019). He immediately surpasses that with his second entry White Lies, a collaboration with fellow German musician and former teen idols Tokio Hotel. The song debuts at #13, also being Tokio Hotel’s highest appearance since Feel It All (#10 in early 2015). They’re just one spot above Don’t Play by Anne-Marie, KSI and Digital Farm Animals (#14). This seems to be Anne-Marie’s long awaited comeback hit, as it’s currently doing exceptionally well in the UK, and also already becomes her 16th entry on My Charts. As for KSI and Digital Farm Animals, the former scores his very first notation through this song, while the latter already charted alongside Louis Tomlinson & Bebe Rexha with Back To You (#20) and alongside Alan Walker & Noah Cyrus with All Falls Down (#26, both from 2017).
It’s not a secret that Selena Gomez has been thinking about releasing a Spanish album for years and last week, completely out of a sudden, the singer has not only announced her upcoming Spanish debut album, but also already released its lead single called De Una Vez. The former Disney star has been one of the most successful artists on My Charts from 2009 to 2017, but it’s also no secret that her power has drastically declined in the past few years. De Una Vez makes a good, but also just moderate first impression and debuts at #16. Pop duo Aly & AJ also make the Top20, as they already put out another new song called Listen!!! (new at #17).
Eight new entries and the one re-entry are down, the final three debuts of the week all missed out on the Top20. First up is Line By Line at #29, a collaboration by JP Saxe and Maren Morris. The former makes his first notation through this song, while the Country starlet is no stranger to the charts and returns following a short break. Former One Direction member Zayn also returns after a year and a half with Vibez (#33), while complete newcomer Olivia Rodrigo makes her chart debut with the current viral senstaion Drivers License at #36.
Other talking points this week: The Top3 from a week ago are all down with Katja Krasavice feat. Elif’s Highway falling 2-4, Blackmore’s Night’s Once Upon December declining 3-5 and Aly & AJ’s Potential Breakup Song going down 1-6. Especially the drop for Aly & AJ may look bad, but all of these are still going very strong and just suffer from all the new entries. It’s a similar fate for Rina Sawayama’s Lucid (4-9), Taylor Swift’s Willow (5-10), Ava Max’ My Head & My Heart (8-11) and K/DA & Co.’s The Baddest (7-12), all still doing really well, but all also going down due to the new entries. With those older songs still doing their jobs and all the strong new entries, it’s less of a surprise to see other songs having even worse drops, especially The Weeknd’s Save Your Tears already falling 9-27 after its debut a week ago, Ed Sheeran’s Afterglow tumbling down 15-38 after three good weeks, or Loredana & Stefflon Don’s Uh Uh Remix dropping 25-40 following Loredana’s successes from late last year.
Among all big drops this week, the one for Ed Sheeran’s Afterglow is the worst, giving him the title as the biggest loser this week. Meanwhile, no song is able to rise up some spots and therefor there’s no biggest climber this week.

Album Top20
Spoiler!Just like a week ago, three new arrivals and one re-entry are on the charts this week, though none of them were strong enough to change something about the top, where Nightwish still rules with HUMAN. :||: NATURE.. This week, the Finnish Symphonic Metal band announced the departure of Marko Hietala, their male vocalist, bassist and member for nearly 20 years. Marko has become a huge part of the band and his departure is a big loss for the fandom. There are still reasons to celebrate this week, as HUMAN. :||: NATURE. already becomes the band’s third album with ten weeks atop the charts, still being the only artist with multiple albums doing so.
Nightwish’s biggest threat was once again Taylor Swift, who spends a sixth consecutive week in the Top2 with Evermore (2-2). The set gets certified with Gold this week.
The highest of the three new arrivals completes the Top3, as Swiss Pop band Pegasus are new at #3 with Unplugged. It’s their third and highest chart entry to date, having previously peaked at #12 with Love & Gunfire (2014) and at #5 with Beautiful Life (2017). It’s a nice coincidence that in both weeks of 2021, the highest debuts of the week were by Swiss artists and both times at #3, as Jaël did it with Sinfonia last week (down 3-4 this time).
Other new and re-entries this week: Former One Direction member Zayn has released his third solo album Nobody Is Listening. It’s also already his third album to debut and peak at #6, a coincidence that hasn’t happened so far and, as for Nobody Is Listening, is still a rather great debut considering his previous effort Icarus Fall fell 6-15 in its second week and already left the charts after that. Just one spot below at #7 are (G)I-dle, a K-Pop girl group with their new EP I Burn. This is their very first chart notation on the Album Top20, having previously only made it onto the Singles Top40 with the currently still charting More by K/DA. Last but not least, due to the hype for their new single Monument, Norwegian trio Keiino are back at #12 with their debut album OKTA.
Other talking points this week: Between all the usual ups and downs, Kiesza surprisingly rises back up 15-10 with her Dark Tales EP. Her previous album Crave also had a sudden resurge after its first few weeks. The last thing worth a mention is a rather shocking one, as Jazmine Sullivan’s Heaux Tales already drops out of the chart completely after having debuted at #8 last week.

Bubbling Under
Spoiler!Nightwish still rules the Bubbling Under chart, but this time with another song, as their HUMAN. :||: NATURE. album opener Music is up 2-1 for an impressive eighth week atop the list. It pushes Shoemaker away, that dips 1-2, while their Pan recovers 8-7.
There are two debuts and one re-entry on the list, all having a different background. First up is Hayley Williams’ Teardrop, a new single that just came out but also just missed out on making it onto the main chart. It still did a fine job and arrives at #3 on the bubbling under list. Next up are Pegasus, who owns the highest new entry with Unplugged on the Album Top20. Their single Last Night On Earth was a Gold certified hit for them back in 2014, and a new Unplugged version stood out as a first highlight on their album and makes it to #5 on the bubbling under list. Last but not least, Keiino not only get a top debut on the Singles Top40, their debut album OKTA also returns to the album charts and brings Take Me Home back to the Bubbling Under chart at #9.
Taylor Swift is still charting with No Body, No Crime (3-4) & It’s Time To Go (9-10), Jaël dips 4-6 with Reminded For Life, while Miley Cyrus is also still hanging on with Gimme What I Want (5-8).

Singles Top40
Spoiler!Norwegian Eurovision stars Keiino keep smashing with their potential contest entry for this year, Monument, as the song spends a second week atop the Singles Top40. They may have already topped the weekly charts with Spirit In The Sky back in 2019, but Monument becomes their first song with multiple weeks at number one, and if they really make it to the actual contest later this year and considering its huge impact on the weekly charts, Monument could already be an early frontrunner for the Year-End Charts 2021.
Keiino’s biggest competition came from the RuPaul’s Drag Race series this week as well, but with a different song. The 13th season of the TV hit show just started and the 13 new contestants were divided into two groups, with the first one having performed a song called ConDragulations that made it onto the charts last week (down 2-4 this week), and the second group performed a song called Phenomenon that enters the charts at #2 this week. This also gives the RuPaul universe a fantastic start into the new year after having a very successful year in 2020.
Completing the Top3 is Katja Krasavice and Elif’s Highway, that comes back up 4-3.
Other new entries this week: Danish singer-songwriter Aura Dione is back with a new single called Worn Out American Dream. The singer scored four top hits out of six chart entries in total during her prime time in 2010 - 2012, and even though she has yet to reach the top of the charts again, Worn Out American Dream is already her eighth chart entry since her comeback in 2016 and by arriving at #5, it’s also already her tenth Top10 hit ever. That’s just one spot above the next new entry, as Dennis Lloyd is new at #6 with Anxious. The Israeli singer-songwriter got his first number one hit with Alien just last year, and Anxious is his fourth Top10 hit and sixth chart entry overall so far. Also a good debut goes to New Love by Silk City & Ellie Goulding feat. Diplo and Mark Ronson, that comes in at #14.
Jason Derulo, Adam Levine or also his band Maroon 5 are all known for scoring some very successful hits all around the world in the last decade, though somehow none of them really smashed on My Charts so far, with the #10 peaking Sugar by Maroon 5 from 2014 being the biggest hit of all those artists discographies. It’s even more worth a mention that both also scored some huge hits just last year, though none of them even made it into the Singles Top40, so it comes as a surprise that Jason Derulo’s collaboration with Adam Levine called Lifestyle makes it to #18 this week, being Jason’s tenth entry and Adam’s first chart notation as a solo artist. Three more entries arrive in the lower half of the charts with Birdy’s Surrender (#25), Tate McRae’s Rubberband (#27) and Sabrina Carpenter’s Skin (#29). This is just the second entry so far for newcomer Tate McRae, who also keeps charting with You Broke Me First (19-24), while the other two already scored Top10 hits in the past.
Other talking points this week: It’s a good week for German band and former teen sensations Tokio Hotel, as their collaboration with VIZE on White Lies has become their first chart entry in Germany since their comeback in 2014, and the song also jumps 13-7 on the Singles Top40. It’s their fourth Top10 single, with all three others being from their comeback era in 2014 with Girl Got A Gun (#3), Love Who Loves You Back (#1) and Feel It All (#10). There are also good news for Anne-Marie, as the singer has finally scored another Top10 hit in the UK with Don’t Play, a collaboration with KSI and Digital Farm Animals. The song already had a good debut last week and goes up 14-11 this time, being her highest peaking single since her collaboration with David Guetta called Don’t Leave Me Alone peaked at #7 in mid 2018. Meanwhile, Willow by Taylor Swift (10-12) and Lucid by Rina Sawayama (9-13) have to leave the Top10 for their first time after strong chartruns, though Taylor Swift still has reasons to celebrate, as Willow gets certified with Gold this week. Shockingly, no singles from her last two albums Lover and Folklore reached Gold status, making Willow her most successful song since …Ready For It? from late 2017.
Among several big drops this week, Aly & AJ’s Listen!!! (17-33) and Zara Larsson feat. Young Thug’s Talk About Love (22-38) share the title as the biggest losers. Meanwhile, VIZE & Tokio Hotel’s White Lies is the biggest climber this week.

My Charts - week 3/2021 – 22 january 2020 - a Monumental Phenomenon
.
Album Top20
Spoiler! For the third week in a row, three new releases also find their way onto the Album Top20 but without being the biggest competitors. This makes it rather easy for Nightwish and Taylor Swift, with the former topping the charts with HUMAN. :||: NATURE. for the fourth week in a row and 11th week in total, while the latter stays in the Top2 with Evermore for a seventh consecutive week. This eleventh week is a huge milestone for Nightwish, as even though their two previous studio albums Imaginaerum and Endless Forms Most Beautiful also made it to ten weeks, HUMAN. :||: NATURE. is actually their first to pass that.
Completing the Top3 is the highest new entry, coming from German singer-songwriter Elif. She came second in the casting show Popstars back in 2009, but only started releasing original music in 2013. She has increased her profile a lot ever since and her third album Nacht from late 2020 became her first Top10 album in Germany. Due to her successful feature on Katja’s Krasavice’s current hit single Highway, Elif’s Nacht makes a late, but strong entry on the Album Top20 at #3.
Other new entries this week: K-Pop singer Baekhyun scored his very first chart notation with Delight in mid 2019, when the album debuted and peaked at #9. Last week, the member of K-Pop groups Exo and SuperM released a new self-titled EP that immediately does better by arriving at #5 this week. The third and final debut goes to Canadian R&B musical project Rhye, who already made a first notation with Black Rain on the Singles Top40 last year, and follow that up with their first album notation as their fourth album Home debuts at #10.
Other talking points this week: With Pegasus’ Unplugged (3-4) and Jaël’s Sinfonia (4-7), both Swiss entries are holding up really well. Same goes for Zayn, who stays at #6 with Nobody Is Listening. Meanwhile, due to the hype for their new single Monument, Keiino are back in the Top10 as OKTA rises 12-9. There are bad news for Miley Cyrus’ Plastic Hearts (8-11), (G)I-dle’s I burn EP (7-12) and Kiesza’s Dark Tales EP (10-13), as they’re all leaving the upper half this week. Finally, there are also some new certifications for some albums at the bottom of the Top20, as Ane Brun earns her very first Gold certification for How Beauty Holds The Hand Of Sorrow (17-17), while Kim Petras’ Clarity (16-15) and Taylor Swift’s Folklore (15-16) both get certified with Platinum. That’s also a first for Kim Petras, while Taylor already gets her fifth Platinum certified album through that.

Bubbling Under
Spoiler!Nightwish also keeps ruling the Bubbling Under chart, as they spend another week atop the list with Music (1-1), closely followed by Shoemaker (2-2). However, they lose one song as Pan leaves the list this week (ex #7).
Nightwish’s biggest competition is a rather odd and unexpected collaboration, coming from Billie Eilish and Latin queen Rosalia. They teamed up on a song called Lo Vas A Olvidar that, despite Billie’s involvement, misses out on the main chart and arrives at #3 on this list.
With (G)I-dle’s I burn EP and Baekhyun’s self-titled EP, two K-Pop artists scored good debuts on the Album Top20 within the last two weeks and both have missed to enter the Singles Top40 so far, though they both get an entry on the bubbling under list this week. Baekhyun does slightly better, arriving at #4 with Get You Alone, while (G)I-dle make it to #8 with HWAA.
The fourth and final debut of the week goes to British Pop band Years & Years. Soon it’s going to be three years since their last album Palo Santo came out and fans remain rather thirsty, as their new release is just a cover of Pet Shop Boys’ It’s A Sin and therefor also doesn’t make much of an impact, debuting at #10 on the Bubbling Under chart this week.
Taylor Swift feat. HAIM’s No Body, No Crime (4-5), Keiino’s Take Me Home (9-6), Pegasus’ Last Night On The Earth (Unplugged) (5-7) and Hayley Williams’ Teardrop (3-9) complete the chart.

My Charts - week 4/2021 – 29 january 2020 - Mother has arrived
.
Singles Top40
Spoiler!It’s Katja Krasavice’s week!
The German YouTube personality and now also serious hit maker has finally released her second album Eure Mami - German for Your Mother - this week. With tons of promo and high budget video releases, the singer prepared the album release with already four singles and alongside the actual release, she already put out its fifth and apparently final single called Friendzone. The song still has a rap style from her vocals, but goes away from a rather R&B sound to being a danceable Gay anthem and so it may be less surprising that it becomes her very first top hit on My Charts by arriving right at the top this week. She prevents her own Highway from becoming a top hit this week, as the song also has a small boost and comes back up 3-2 for a re-peak now. The third single of Eure Mami, Alles schon gesehen, has been charting for several weeks now and also jumps back up 26-12 this week, while the second single Ich seh re-enters at #25 and the first single Million Dollar A$$ is back at #36.
Keiino’s Monument slips 1-3 to complete the Top3.
Other new entries this week: The second highest new entry goes to Heart Healer, a project by Swedish musician Magnus Karlsson. The project is described as a Heavy Metal Opera project and will feature several singers from that genre, most notably Anette Olzon, who has been a big hit maker on My Charts with her own stuff or projects like The Dark Element or Allen/Olzon. Anette was also the lead singer of Finnish Symphonic Metal band Nightwish for two of their biggest albums, Dark Passion Play (2007) and Imaginaerum (2011) - and her part of the project is basically why it got my attention in the first place. The first single of the project is called Into The Unknown and features Noora Louhimo, singer of the band Battle Beast. Even though the band has never made an entry so far, Noora was already featured on the Gold certified Strong by Amaranthe last year. Into The Unknown debuts at #5 this week.
Due to her part on Katja’s Highway, fellow German singer Elif just made her first chart notation with the album Nacht on the album charts last week, and now also gets a first entry as lead artist on the singles charts as Augen zu debuts at #9. The song features German rapper Samra, who also gets his first notation through this. Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker is back on the charts for the first time since topping it with the Ava Max collaboration Alone, Pt. II a year ago, as he’s collaborating with ISAK on a song called Sorry this week (#13). That’s just one spot above Higher at #14, the new single by Clean Bandit and a collaboration with newcomer iann dior. This is Clean Bandit’s follow-up hit to the #1 track Tick Tock from last year. It becomes Clean Bandit’s 12th chart entry to date, though it’s also their lowest debuting one since Real Love made it to #36 in 2015.
It really looks like Selena Gomez’ big hit days are over, as her first Spanish single De Una Vez already falls out of the Top40 after just two weeks (ex #31). She already follows that up with the new track Baila Conmigo, a collaboration with Latin star Rauw Alejandro and yet again just a moderate debut at #17. Dutch DJ and producer Sam Feldt teamed up with Kesha on a song called Stronger that becomes his first notation at #19 this week, and becomes Kesha’s first entry since late 2019. Many places lower, Benny Blanco, Marshmello and Vance Joy are all new at #34 with their collaboration You. The final new arrival of the week is the very first chart notation for an official Eurovision Song Contest track of 2021. Israel would’ve been represented by Eden with the track Feker Libi last year, and the singer also represents her country at the contest this year but with a song called Set Me Free. The track starts at #37.
Other talking points this week: The top of the charts remains very competitive. Phenomenon by the Cast Of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 13 would have been a clear top hit last week and also got tons of plays this week, having already accumulated nearly 80 plays but still dips 2-4 this week. Same goes to their song ConDragulations, that already falls 4-10 this week. Blackmore’s Night were also doing really well with Once Upon December, but due to the competition the track still has to leave the Top10 this week by going down 8-11. There’s still good news for the band, as the song gets certified with Gold this week. Another certification goes out to The Baddest by K/DA & Co., as even though the song has to leave the upper half of the charts for the first time (16-23), it gets certified with Platinum this week. Ava Max’ My Head & My Heart also leaves the Top20 for its first time after a very strong chartrun there.
Katja Krasavice’s Alles schon gesehen is the biggest climber, while Lana Del Rey’s Chemtrails Over The Country Club drops 19-40 as the biggest loser this week.

My Charts - week 4/2021 – 29 january 2020 - Mother has arrived
.
Album Top20
Spoiler!Even though each week in 2021 had several new entries, none of those were strong enough to top the weekly charts. This changes and we get the first top album released in 2021 this week, as Katja Krasavice storms to number one with her second studio album Eure Mami. The German YouTube personality made her first attempt in the music business already back in 2017 and released a few stand alone tracks until 2018. In early 2020, she released her debut album Bo$$ Bitch that became surprisingly well received, though she moved on from that album rather quickly. In late 2020, she already started to prepare the release of Eure Mami with singles like Million Dollar A$$, Ich seh and Alles schon gesehen, all being once again a big step up from her debut album. A few weeks ago, she even scored her first top hit in Germany with Highway and also gathered lots of success on My Charts, so it’s less surprising to see Eure Mami arriving right at the top this week. She also returns to #11 with Bo$$ Bitch this week.
Fellow German singer Elif has been releasing music for a longer time, but only made her first notation through a feature on Katja’s Highway a few weeks back. That one also got her a first entry on the album charts with Nacht last week, that even improves 3-2 this time. Nightwish’s HUMAN. :||: NATURE. dips 1-3 to complete the Top3.
Other new and re-entries this week: Actually not a lot, as there’s just one new arrival and two comebacks on the charts this week, and Katja Krasavice owns two third of those with Eure Mami and Bo$$ Bitch. The second and last re-entry goes to Ava Max, as she returns to #20 with Heaven & Hell.
Other talking points this week: Following a seven week chartrun in the Top2, Taylor Swift’s Evermore dips 2-4 this week. The singer also has to leave the Top20 with Folklore this time (ex #16). Meanwhile, Norwegian Eurovision trio Keiino keep rising with their debut release OKTA, as the set jumps 9-5 this week. There are way worse news for Canadian R&B project Rhye, as their Home already drops 10-19 following its debut a week ago. Apart from those albums, the rest of the Album Top20 remains rather calm with the usual up’s and down’s.

Bubbling Under
Spoiler!Katja Krasavice also smashes on the Bubbling Under chart, as four album tracks from her new album Eure Mami arrive on the list this week and three even occupy the Top3 with Du bringst mich um (#1), Böse Mädchen (#2) and Stottert die Bitch (#3). The fourth entry is not too far behind, as Wir bleiben wach debuts at #5.
Besides Katja’s entries, there are also two other new entries on the list this week coming from new single releases that didn’t quite make it onto the main chart. First up is Don’t Judge Me by FKA twigs, featuring Headie One & Fred Again at #8. FKA twigs has yet to score a really big hit on the main charts, though her albums or EPs usually do well enough on the album charts. The final debut goes out to British singer-songwriter Rag’N’Bone Man. It’s already been four years since Rag’n’Bone Man released his very successful debut album Human and alongside the announcement for his long awaited second album Life By Misadventure, he also released its first single called All You Ever Wanted that makes its arrival at #10 this week.
Nightwish is still charting with Music (1-4) and Shoemkaer (2-6), while Taylor Swift & HAIM’s No Body, No Crime (5-7) and Keiino’s Take Me Home (6-9) are still on the list as well.
