Since I only started going back to 'actively' looking for new music in May/June, most pre-June stuff here is either from my Eurovision bubble, some Spotify recommendation here and there (occasionally older than 2022) or something I've seen on here. I'm guessing this is why this list will most likely be a bit 2nd-half-of-the-year-heavy, but I can't tell you yet because I haven't compiled it yet the list won't be based on number of plays but simply how much I liked the songs. The artists on the pictures are a bit random and not necessarily representing my Top 30, a few of them won't be that high and are just there for clickbait
Oh and sorry to the band members of Tanxugueiras and MisterWives that I had to cut off

Glain Rhys has the kind of songs we've been missing in our FSC recently - a proper folksy ballad.
More people should be aware of tiLLie, she brings out the visuals.
Alexa Cappelli's another of the 2022 powerpop girlie generation, I keep them all in high regard, "Lose Lose" is ok.
Grant Knoche with the unexpected American Song Contest nod (probably won't get its second season though).
"Amore Vero" is my kind of jam, I dig those unique male voices.

funny that you mention that, I did consider entering Sara for the FSC..but I wish we had the opportunity to choose Wales alone cause snatching the UK is quite difficult!

Not saying I know your taste 100% but I think you might like the Sara song as it's kinda folksy..it is in Welsh however which could be not your thing Barely on my Mind is a nice indie pop track. Main list will probably be the Top 100

• Over in my YEC thread, you mentioned how "many pop rock girlies tried but failed to [sound nostalgic without being too derivative or sounding dated] this and last year," which I figured was referring to Avril, so I'm glad "Bite Me" at least made your Top 200
• "Holy" is another Hold The Girl highlight, but competition on that album was STIFF, so it suffered a bit from not having a video or any major performances (yet)
• "Let It Die" made me extra-eager for Ellie's next album (which Tansike reminded me is just a month away now)!

• Shame the higher-budget, highly-memeable "Used To Know Me" video didn't attract any attention beyond Charli's fanbase

Same for Everything Matters, that did super well for me a year ago.

As a huge Eurovision fan, it's obviously always nice to see some ESC representation - and here's already lots of it!
Even though it's from 2021, super pleased with Shum still making it here <3

Rina's Holy (Til You Let Me Go) and Sigrid's A Driver Saved My Night are among my favorite album tracks / non singles of 2022, still hoping one or both of them get a proper single treatment in 2023.

haha, it'll be a slower pace from the Top 100 on while I do like Welcome to my Island, I don't think it will last that long in my Top 30 unfortunately, so it will probably be difficult for it to get a place in next years chart, but I do think she will be there with another song(s)!

Also hoping for a Call On Me video, maybe we'll get it as soon as SG's album is released cause the song is also on there if I remember correctly.

Yeah I'm also a bit surprised that I didn't see Silk Chiffon that much, just gonna assume it was in most people's 2021 charts cause that chorus is too catchy to ignore completely.
