i don't see what's funny, he sounded the same in the live with the only exception that playback backing vocals (heavily used) helped him massively. But no one expected him to sound great lol

this is why I hate that they're allowing pre-recorded vocals in Eurovision now...

Btw, there's a long thread on Reddit about Reiley and how he's lying for his age (he's not 20 but 25) and he's an industry plant who didn't suddenly go viral on TikTok. They say he had an agent before he started and a team who carefully marketed him to the Kpop music industry (perhaps that's why he's lying about his age).

Hey, she was just loud. Some people love a loud diva. She was way better in every other performance she's done, that's true. I for one didn't enjoy Greece's performance that much, or that one from the year before (Bulgaria?) because I hate people who mumble or don't sing loud enough. But well, that's a difference of taste (and the one from Greece actually has a good voice).



Edit: I think it wasn't Greece performance in the Final, maybe it was in the Semi?? Idk I remember her being "off" in a performance but everyone loved it apparently.

No, being loud wasn't the (only) problem with Albania 2022 (balkan songs are loud in general so it's okay, they sound weird to people from other regions). The whole performance was awful and everything went wrong; camera shots, sound, cheap-ass wig (she even tried a Lotus pink wig in one of the rehearsals), trying to be edgy with the sexy dance but instead looked desperate, outfit was the worst of all (so kitsch in a bad way),l choreography was chaotic. Honestly, her NF performance was miles better.

I don't understand how Greece or Bulgaria are related to my comment about Albania 2022 entry though. Completely different entries (if you're talking about Greece 2022 and Bulgaria 2021).

Btw, I was in Turin and the support for Ronela was huge in the arena.

Oh, I agree with the awful camera shots. I don't know what the hell happened with some performances, but I hated that. I would have preferred more cool looking outfits as well. Liked the rest though.

Yes, Solo was quite popular on radio last year, but I find it more as a mediocre radio hit than ESC successful entry.
Be Good sounds too safe, imo. Like it a lot (it's really cute and catchy), but it could be a hit in SF and a total underperformance in GF.
Gladiator is defo a fan favourite, but its potential success is very unpredictable. It's a risky entry. But on the other hand, we have nothing to lose. Poland is far from being successful country at the ESC, so maybe we should finally send a song that no-one expects from us...

and yes I agree with you, countries like Poland need to take a risk (e.g. see Finland 2006, Austria 2014) Even Italy sent Maneskin, an entry very unusual for Italy in ESC/San Remo and it worked out well.

Gladiator needs great staging/vocals to impress but I like it a lot so far.

I loved her previous entry and this has real potential too. It's nice, like the gospel harmonies, I would love if she could reach and go up an octave in the last chorus to elevate it and give it a real "moment" though.
