I thought I'd read that there was meant to be a centenary special and Claude was back. Guess I read wrong or it was just rumours. However Claude did tweet that he was back filming full time so I'm a bit confusedTurn the lights down low and kiss me in the dark

BBC has confirmed the return of The Apprentice for a “bigger and better” 17th season that is set to air in 2023. It will see the groundbreaking return of Claude Littner to the boardroom.
The competition, which has been running since 2005, sees 18 entrepreneurs compete for a £250,000 business investment from Lord Sugar. The Hackney-born millionaire will be supported by a line-up of advisors, which will see a shake-up for the next series.
In 2021, he was supported by business executive and West Ham United vice-chairman Karen Brady, who is set to reprise her advisory role once again. She was joined by Tim Campbell, the winner of the first-ever series of The Apprentice, who was a stand-in for fan-favourite Claude Littner.
Claude Littner will, however, be returning in a reduced role for the 2023 season of The Apprentice. He is scheduled to appear in just two episodes.
Season 17 is set to feature a number of tasks that will see the candidates journey from a local setting to overseas. The first episode will take them as far as Antigua as they are tasked with selling excursions to tourists.

As much as we complain about the format, this show is just always so watchable.
On the subject of Claude, if he's only doing 2 episodes, one must be interviews - if only to possibly see another moment as legendary as this:

Just show us them being good at business and succeeding - if the show stopped setting them up to fail at every turn and stopped firing people for things that almost definitely wasn’t their fault, it would be absolutely fine.
I know the point is to find a business partner, but I’d prefer a smaller number of contestants that weren’t fired, and we got to see develop over time, before a mass firing just before the boardroom stage.I have a bad feeling about this.

karen complaining that one of them told the tourists to read the signs to get more info about the tour, knowing full well that he's been dropped in Antigua yesterday with no prep or time to do research. make it make sense.
bet the producers told them to ask those questions...what's going on?

I also don’t get how they’re expected to become tour guides overnight and have Karen and Claude raising their eyebrows at them when they struggle, but such is this show!
Is this the youngest cast they’ve ever had? It was like sixth formers running an enterprise day at their college. The girls especially were squabbling like 14 year olds, so petty.
Bless geeky Gregory and his obsession with cannons! The boys were definitely more cohesive.
It’s always so amateur how they try and out-barter each other cos they think that’s going to get them some glory in the boardroom, and that 35% commission expectation from the girls was ludicrous.

35% commission was an actual joke. Their face when he said they usually offer 1 or 2 was amazing. And then in the cafe when one of them said he wasn't bothered by it. He literally laughed in your faces!!!
