    I couldn't find a thread for the Oscars. other than one from a few years ago, so if this needs to be merged, lmk.

    I doubt we'll see anyone get slapped at this year's Oscars, but perhaps there will be other drama.

    In any case, the nominations are due in about an hour and you can follow the announcement on youtube. I doubt I will have seen any of the films nominated, except maybe Elvis.

                I was really skeptical of RiRi getting a nom, but I guess she managed to do it. Still not crazy about the song tho.

                            Pretty predictable list with the exceptions of Tyree Henry“s nom and TG: Maverick missing Cinematography.
                            About Riseborough, it was probably the best grassroot campaign since Cotillard with Deux jours, une nuit (and she had two Trifecta wins and a previous win). She is really about to change the whole campaign circuit just like that. Campaigns for Marin Ireland and Elisabeth Moss next, please lol

                                Sooo. One of my sort of friends is one of the nominees. Nominated for best short film. He comes from the drama club I grew up in so we are all gassed for him. It's Ross White for an Irish Goodbye
