Yeah freevee so you don't even have to have amazon prime to watch it. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it as it had a pretty perfect final episode.
I agree Big Brother at its most popular was due to dramatic housemates and arguments. Something I think Itv have already said they don't want. They want it more in the vein of the first couple of series and having it as a social experiment. We also know Itv cuts out a lot of the arguments from Love Island so I imagine it will be the same as Big Brother unfortunately. The days of Kim Woodburn roasting everyone is gone. I also agree with Artoo. I am excited about the new houseTurn the lights down low and kiss me in the dark
'Cause when you're touching me, baby, I see sparks..

Matt Hancock has updated the publicly viewable Register of Financial Interests and it reveals that he received £320k for I'm a Celebrity (not the £400k that the media reported, 25% less actually).
You can see his declarations here:
https://publications.parliament.uk/p...ncock_matt.htm
Fascinating stuff! He also received £45k last October for appearing on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, a donation of two tickets to the BRIT Awards (value of £2,040), two tickets to an Adele concert (value of £699.90) and £48,000 for an interview with the Mail! His additional earnings alone for 2022 were £446k (over and above his MP salary of £84k).

Sir Kier got four tickets for Adele too, but they mustn’t like him as much and give him crappier tickets, as he’s only declared the value as £479
I have a bad feeling about this.

I love David Jason but even he couldn't save Still Open All Hours from just not being very good...

My problems with a Fawlty Towers reboot is that it isn’t going to be Fawlty Towers. It’s about Basil running a boutique hotel with a daughter he’s only just discovered he has - it is literally going to be Basil in a new hotel with an all new cast.
John Cleese is writing it with his daughter (who will also play his daughter) but I don’t see how he could play Basil anymore - Basil was so physical, the show relied on farce and slap stick, and a lot of the jokes wouldn’t land now.
Basil needs someone to be scared of, someone to help him and someone to blame. I don’t know what that looks like in 2023.I have a bad feeling about this.

Anyone watched Nolly on ITVX?
Really enjoyed the first two episodes, HBC is great. Was obviously aware of Crossroads but was not very familiar with Noele Gordon’s story so it’s been a nice discovery. Funny to see now how huge the show was in the early 80s - 15m viewers a night!

From @ColinGPaterson on Twitter
The overnights are in and the move to Saturday night for the Brits has worked. 3.3m, up on 2.7m last year. Not back to pre-pandemic levels (3.8m in 2020). Mind you, as many people watched Celebrity Catchphrase featuring Bradley Walsh and Sally Dynevor at 18:00
It started with a high of 3.8m and finished with 2.8m
Colin also reports that TMS got 4.6m with a peak of 5.1m

All I’ve seen on social media though is people complaining about it. 50 year old women watching a music awards show and surprised to find they don’t know most of the artists.THIS WEEKS TOP 5

Call The Midwife has been renewed for an extra 2 series taking it to 3 new series in total and keeping it on air till at least 2026.
We can all breathe a sigh of relief. It's a huge ratings winner though, fetching 5.2m viewers last night (compared to 3.8m for Vera).

BBC have announced a drama about Grenfell.

Hugely compelling I'm sure, but will be very difficult to watch.

A Christmas special episode in 2013 (that pre-dated season 1) fetched a massive audience of 13m.
Season 1 would then fetch between 7.1-8.6m viewers per episode, season 2 would average 7m per episode, season 3 fell to 6m average and by the end, season 6 averaged just 3.5m.
