^No to both questions. Personally I prefer I Have Nothing & How Will I Know, but as far as impact goes it's pretty clear I think. Depends on how you define 'iconic' though.

Well, pop music has been awful this year except Carlegend and few others, but all in all I have listened to at least 25 new albums and a good dozen of them are great
Björk, Róisín Murphy, Janet, Sufjan Stevens, Jamie xx, Lana, Carly, Kacey Musgraves, Miley, dumblonde, Miguel, Susanne Sundfør, Peaches and John Grant are all top notch. And the best part is that some possibly great albums have yet to be released
The biggest disappointment were Jackie and Piece by Piece, the former is cute but forgettable and the latter is shit.

This year has been the best since the brilliant 2011 IMO.
