Oh how I miss the 2000's...
When everyone wanted to be "urban"
When R&B & hip hop was the SH$T
When it was cool to be ratchet
TV was still good
& Radio was still popping
Right? There's been nothing (except for music) that has piqued my interest within any so-called entertainment outlet over the last few years, which is why I always head back to that late 90s period of prosperity.

It's mainly the beat of songs. Like if it's kinda mid tempo with some hard hitting bass then it's a trap song.
Anything that Future, Rae Smurred is making is trap. Think Mike Will Made It hip hop beats.
Some popular trap beat-ish songs would be Drunk In Love by Beyoncé, How Many Times by Tinashe, Want Some More and Big Daddy by Nicki Minaj....Bitch Better Have My Money is kinda trap tooo.
I'm cool for the summer tututututubobobobbotutututtut
I love that song, surprised it's not a hit, it's so catchy.

Why's time going by so fast? anyone has such problem lately? I have no idea where these last 8 months went by :-?
i feel the same.. and sadly i think it's because i have not achieved what i wanted to achieve in the last couple of months. I know this is said a lot but i seriously feel like June was just a couple of days ago..
:( :( I have that summertime sadness almost every year.....
Actually, I am glad that time is flying by. It means I'm closer to my goals (which will only transpire in about a year)

I always feel like Trap is like a hard-hitting crisp sound ... maybe like snapping sometimes? usually accompanied with heavy drums and bass but I'm as confused as abi so what do I know?
Thanks, it's still confusing though. I guess your description was kind of right.

Isn't "Trouble" Pop though?
But thanks for the answer, I guess Trap is the type of genre that can't stand alone, am I right? I mean, that Lana song sounds Pop-ish, and then we have "Drunk in Love" which is Urban, and "Turn Down For What" which is EDM.
Based on the chorus and beat, I'd think Trouble was pop but considering the rap part, I'd automatically call it hip hop!
I agree. Trap is a bit more hard hitting. I'd almost say it's like a slower version of trance.
As the wiki article says Trap is a new sub-genre of EDM which derives from the 90's original trap music. And now most songs have EDM influences so ....
