The song did but not their performers. Neither Nelly or Kelly (as a solo act) obtained prolific careers over here, the song was a cute one hit wonder thing for Nelly here, he was having a lot of success and hit songs from early to mid 2000s in some markets but that was not the case in Latin America where most of his work is pretty much unknown or close to non-impactful.

Alicia Keys did decent, she didn't dominate Latin America or anything but she would have a hit from time to time ("Fallin", "No One" and "Empire State Of Mind" were known songs here) but it wasn't a regular thing for her, she wouldn't succeed with everything she was doing here.

Beyoncé is perhaps the most consistent one as R&B stars go in Latin America, more than a dozen of her singles reached popularity over here, and she also hit it big in MTV Latin America in early 2000s which wasn't that usual for R&B stars. She was always on heavy rotation and a frequent anglo hitmaker over here, like I said she was more of a singles artist (rather than a huge album seller) in spanish speaking territories but the popularity with her songs was always there pretty consistently.

Baby Boy didn’t feel bigger than CIL to me but it definitely seemed bigger than Naughty Girl... which no one talks about now but it’s one of her best.

Interesting. Here in Latin America the first two singes from her debut album ("Crazy In Love" and "Baby Boy") were very popular and yeah "Baby Boy" was definitely on heavy rotation but "Crazy In Love" just snatched everyone's wig over here, Iconic.

Beyoncé really made a difference for R&B over here. That music genre was never a big deal in Latin America and many R&B stars struggled in the latin market but Beyoncé really broke boundaries and smashed since her Destiny's Child days here. I have to admit that outside of Brazil she was not a huge album seller in other spanish speaking terrotories like Mexico or Argentina though . . but as a singles artist her songs were always on rotation and popular ("Say My Name", "Independent Woman pt 1", "Survivor", "Bootylicious", "Crazy In Love", "Baby Boy", "Lose My Breath", "Irreplaceable", "Beautiful Liar", "If I Were A Boy", "Single Ladies", "Halo", "Sweet Dreams").

It's not just iconic . . . it's the most legendary female song of the 2000s and one of the most legendary female songs of all time.
