Same, especially with Spanish and Portuguese music.

Never learning Spanish is probably my biggest regret about my education. My lazy ass school self picked French over Spanish although I already knew French. Thought it'd be an easy A. And my lazy ass uni self picked Italian over Spanish cause it's closer to Latin. SAD!

Same. I listen to Japanese and Indonesian music without understanding a word. Although I started picking up on Japanese a little bit.

This backlash is nonsense and I don't even like the guy. Pople need to change, but we have to let them.

Even a piece of toast could win it for all I care as long as ForGaGatten goes out empty handed.
Actually Gaga is the one getting the most buzz and she's #1 in most predictions. And even if she doesn't win in the actress category (which IMO she will) she will still win the Oscar for Original song with "Shallow" ... Gaga is not leaving that ceremony empty-handed

    Agreed
Obviously, but radio, big labels and spotify playlisting think otherwise. Why bother with any extra investment in marketing and promotion of the foreign acts, when you can re-package and sell the same thing over and over again.
When I was a 9-10 year old child, I thought the internet age would bring much needed diversity to a worldwide pop industry, so that we can have a rap song in Portuguese at #1 in U.S. one week, an electronic song from Iceland at #1 in UK, a French chanson conquering the world the week after that and it would seem completely normal.
How many English songs topped the Japanese charts?

I guess it depends on the person. One of my friends can't listen to anything that isn't in our native language...even though she speaks English and Italian.

Why do you care that much about Glenn Close?
Cause i'm a huge fan. Saw her on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard and she was fantastic. She is very underrated imo.

Using MJDangerous figures, here are the Top 10 selling female artist of All-Time (has not been updated) PHYSCIAL & DIGITAL SALES PURE SALES.
Figures will be rounded to the nearest 5. His actual figures will be in parenthesis ()

    1. Madonna= 320,000,000 (316,210,000)
    2. Rihanna= 290,000,000 (287,780,000)

    3. Celine Dion= 240,000,000 (237,665,000)
    4. Mariah Carey= 235,000,000 (231,395,000)
    5. Whitney Houston= 215,000,000 (212,000,000)
    6. Beyonce= 205,000,000 (204,590,000)
    7. Taylor Swift= 200,000,000 (199,190,000)
    8. Barbra Streisand= 180,000,000 (177,540,000)
    8. Britney Spears= 180,000,000 (177,410,000)
    10. Adele= 160,000,000 (159,525,000)

Gaga and Katy are both barely missing out. I do believe Gaga is very close with her soundtrack, which has not been included. Although Celine is an album seller, Mariah can pass her in a few years with her mega hit AIWFCIY. I did not realize how close Celine and Mariah were with total record sales, but these are not my figures. MJDangerous.
