    • Federer simply bottled it, sad stuff. Novak was clinical and clutch when it mattered, but Federer's own mistakes cost him 2 championship points at his serve.
I think Novak's gonna overtake Federer in GS total, unless Rafa totally reinvents himself to stop Novak in the next 2-3 years. The rest of the field is just nonexistent at this point.

            • Exciting, superb match. I checked the stats and Federer was better in all aspects, he even won more points than Djokovic, but that´s the beauty of Tennis, it´s the one who win 3 sets who takes the match, interesting enough Federer was winning all TB played on grass since Halle, today he lost all 3. I think this defeat will haunt him forever, I should say this was his last true chance to win a GS but he suddenly has unlimited stamina so who knows...

It was a great match to watch but i kept thinking this could be a final from 10 years ago. Where are all the new up and coming players? It's a testament to Federer's ability that he's nearing 40 and can still play so well. But surely by this stage there should be new blood to take over from the Nadal, Djokovic, Federer era.
It might sound like I'm an unapologetic bitch
But sometimes you know I gotta call it like it is

I wish Steffi would be more active. Unfortunately, she really did find her purpose in her family and charity work for Children of Tomorrow.

Rafa needs to keep on spoiling the party at the US open. He should steal an Aussie open one of these days

I mean Halep was unbeatable... I mean Serena is a veteran, let's not forget that. She hasn't been playing impeccable tennis in any of her more recent GS finals... why? Because maybe... having a kid - the difficult pregnancy - and her age have now diminished her former abilities to some extend... so in that respect I do not think that she could have beaten Halep in this final in 2019... 5 years ago... that would have been a different story.

However, the fact that Serena is still destroying basically any of the pop girls in the top 10 these days is still impressive... but I am convinced that to some extent, her legacy is helping her a lot with it - which of course Serena has earned. But seeing young amazing players sh!tting themselves by only being on the other side of the court... against her, is so frustrating bc I want to yell at them saying that they also can beat her. But I believe they have a mental blockage when they go up against Serena.

So Wimbledon 2019 was kind of a disappointment for me personally... as a huge tennis worshipper and patriot I am immensely ashamed of the German girls and boys. They played like amateurs... it's crazy. I mean when was the last time that 2 stable top 5 players for Germany dropped out like mentally disabled chicken? lol. shame shame shame shame shame shame shame.
Let's no be dramatic.. Serena was also lacking game play. The last year has been her transition back and she has 3GF to her name.

Literally Osaka is is the only one with a better Grandslam record than her since her return

Halep played well but the Serena that showed up Saturday was not the same Serena that had such a great week two. Serena from week two was moving better, serving better, striking the ball way better than I had seen her since her comeback. She was ready, as she said herself, to win a slam. But she choked. The pressure got to her again and she came out, stiff, nervous and just so tentative. Yes she was lacking match play. Yes Halep got back balls that other opponents wouldn't. So Serena was forced to play that extra ball she didn't want to.

But the match was on her racket and she just didn't show up.

I'll be surprised if Djokovic isn't the winner.
