So what decide to go to Germany to study here ? After all, Germany and India are not a Katzensprung apart from each other ... Do you already consider yourself at least slightly German ?
I agree! I'm not a small town kinda guy. Maybe it comes from the fact that I lived in Delhi, a city of over 16 million people. I don't know where you live but 7k people ONLY?!
The amazing education with almost zero fees made me consider to study here. Germany and India aren't Katzensrpung but we have a very nice relationship and it was quite easy for me to get the student visa

Are there not clubs and stuff in Bonn? Sports things?
There are like only 2 clubs, which are really pathetic as they are frequented by blue-collar workers. All the youngsters go to Cologne

Ha, so am I pretty much. Edging closer to 30 whilst others are in their teens and barely into their 20's.

Nice to see you again! Your eyes are kind of piercing in that pic.

Thanks George. I did have shorter hair about 2 years ago (around chin length), but I've grown it back since, obviously. Much prefer having longer hair.

I took the first ones down, but I haven't taken down the encore post...yet.

Besides, still waiting on marcsi to come in & see these photos since she complained...and at least 1 other UKMIXer who posts in this thread from time to time.

OK, it's been years since I visited this topic and now I see I just missed a once in a decade opportunity to see what Shelley Virgostar looks like

Why did you take it down?

What's so bad about Bonn? I keep wondering about your nationality/origin: Does it mean you are a German with Indian roots or are you an Indian currently living in Germany?
About Bonn, I find it more of an 'older people city'. Thank heavens that Köln is near by or else I'd have gone nuts. There's absolutely nothing to do here other than visit a few places or hike up to Venusberg or a walk along the Rhine (and I'm NOT a nature person ).
As for my nationality, I'm an Indian who is studying in Bonn. Don't ask about my origins - it's too complicated and messed up
