Turkey aren't known for hair systems only transplants. His is not a transplant.

    • Back when I hadn't really paid attention to different ways of getting "new hair", I thought transplants would be the only way to get thicker hair.

A big advantage of the hair system is that I went to the hairdresser and 2 hours later I had a completely new hair style and thick hair.
I'm not known for being a patient person. Waiting to see results was not an option for me (at this very moment of my life).
But I would never consider travelling to another country to do a transplant. If I ever consider do have a hair transplant, I will have it done in Germany (or wherever I live).

My hairdresser told me: If you knew how many men walk around with a hair system like yours, you'd be surprised!

Everytime I see a guy with thick hair now, I always think - HA! He's got a hair system for sure. (just kidding obviously!)

It looks really natural.. how is the maintenance of it ? I mean do you wear it 24 hours a day and how does it work for washing it ? Same as normal hair ?

It lasts up from 6 to 10 weeks, depending on the weather/season. It lasts longer in winter than in summer (according to my hairdresser). Let's see how it works out.
i wear it 24 hours which means I even sleep with it. I don't need to wash it every day because there no sebum production. I wash it every second or third day (depends how often I go to the gym). I cannot use the basic shampoos, either.

As gym re-opened here a few weeks ago, I thought I test it and it still fits perfectly fine. Kind of nervous when I go swimming for the first time, though.

Ah ok, so you have to get it redone after ten weeks. Cool. Well I guess wear a swimming cap and you wont have any problem

That's actually a good idea! Thank you, didn't even consider this.

you can actually do it yourself too after a few weeks. But at least at the beginning I want to go to the hairdresser to see how he does it (how the hair system gets washed etc.) .

                  • If I understood my hairdresser in the right way, there are a few type of hair systems - when I posted a reel of my transformation on Instagram, someone told me he once tried a hair system where your hair gets weaved with the hairpiece.
My hairpiece got glued on my head.

There's lots of information on the different hair systems on the internet - I really wasn't aware of that before, either. But it was definitely worth checking out the world wide web.

                    • So by now I had my hair system cleaned and glued again on my head. Everything is fine with it and I got used to it and know how to style my hair. at first the change is enormous but you get used to it very fast.

I got some nice feedback from people that know me with my actual hair and that made me happy.

                      • Guys, I've got this idea for years and only came up with it again. I'm thinking of getting my hair dyed blue. I mean, I've worked quite a bit post-lockdown, currently am free from college and this may be my last chance before actually heading into the professional world in a year. What do you think?

Honestly, just go for it. I often look back on my younger years and wish I’d had a bit more fun and taken a few more “risks”. Worst can happen, wear a beanie hat for a few weeks.

I remember dyeing my hair bleach blonde when I was at uni. My hair was dark blonde anyway, but this new look was quite a radical change. However, I soon got used to it and pretty much forgot I’d even done it. When I went home for Christmas, my parents didn’t even recognise me when they picked me up at the train station.

Oh cool, I’ll have to see if I can find it.

My hair (or growing lack of) is a cause of much anguish for me. I’m so self-conscious about it.

It irritates me because my father is nearly 70 and still has a full head of hair. He hasn’t even gone grey.

                                          • Airwrecka : I'm going to be busy the next few days, but I hope to make the call sometime next week for an appointment in September. That's when I'm still out of college and am a bit less restrained jobwise.
But you're right: It's better to do something risky than to pity never having done so. And hair grows after all ;) .

Regarding your other aspect: I'm honest there, if I had hair growing issues, I'd go for hair transplantation. I'm usually against beauty surgeries that aren't medically necessary, but this is the one exception I would make.

Yeah, I think I must take after my mother. She unfortunately had very thinning hair. I’m also allergic to minoxidil, so no Regaine* for me.

I think this is about me. Otherwise I've to see the other Jasons hair transplant transformation

A bit nervous to put pictures up but maybe it'll help someone who is considering a hair transplant. I went to Turkey in March 2020 JUST before lockdown. I had booked a consultation sort of on a whim and I was booked for the transplant in a matter of days and about 2 weeks later it was all done.

                                                    Here are some before pictures

                                                    And after

I can't say enough how happy I am with the results and to be honest the pictures don't show the full extent of it. Some of the before and after pics are only 3-4 months apart! I also got my crown done too but it never really improved (which they say can happen) but it It was always my hairline that crushed my confidence and I've gotten it back since the transplant.
