And even within that small group, the current rate of heavy cases is less than 5% with currently not even 1% dying. Corona is not a death sentence (anymore) for most people. Imagine what the situation would be like if the death rate was 20%, 40% or even more, which is the case with some kinds of cancer!Cha Cha Instructor

There are tons of examples on the internet of families who have lost someone to Corona and my heart breaks for them bc I have empathy. I always think that everyone would feel empathy, but what I have learned on my time on this planet is that there are people out there who do not comprehend the concept of death, pain and agony.

@spiritboy: I'm not sure whether you could call Corona a mortal disease as that sounds like death is evident. It's rather a disease that ends mortal in rare cases. I had a mild case of Corona in the family. I don't want to catch any illness (Obviously, I mean, why should I ^^ ?), but if I caught Corona, I would be relieved knowing that, based on official statistics, I'll most likely experience a mild case - especially considering my health status.

ONLY because you might surive it - albeit long-covid is a thing too - doesn't mean that other people can enjoy those who are not so fortunate. There are also cases of sporty and fit people who just died from it. So, you never know.My Chart

Boris is speaking at 5 today, about a foreign travel traffic light system to allow holidays and a “covid certification” scheme which is being piloted in the near future.
All of it proving highly controversial, especially if they bring in such passports that rule out young people, who haven’t even been offered the vaccine yet, the chance of freedom.

The wider testing is hugely significant and interesting.
Covid: PM to set out latest lockdown easing in England
Boris Johnson is expected to unveil a traffic light system for foreign travel in an update on measures for easing Covid restrictions in England.
The prime minister is to make a series of announcements on changes to lockdown rules at a Downing Street briefing.
More detail might be given on the possible use of Covid certificates to access services or events domestically.
He will also say if non-essential shops can reopen and restaurants can start serving outdoors from 12 April.
Other changes in stage two of England's roadmapinclude:- Close-contact services such as hairdressers and barbers can reopen
- Gyms and spas can reopen, as can zoos, theme parks, libraries and community centres
- Members of the same household can take a holiday in England in self-contained accommodation
- Weddings attended by up to 15 people can take place
The government has also announced plans for everyone in England to be given access to two rapid coronavirus tests a week from Friday, in an expansion of its testing programme.

Boris has confirmed...
Next stage of lockdown easing in England to go ahead on 12 April
With the four tests for easing the lockdown in England met, the prime minister confirms the next stage of the roadmap for relaxing restrictions can go ahead.
This means that from 12 April:- Non-essential shops and close-contact services such as hairdressers and barbers can reopen
- Restaurants and pubs can start serving customers outdoors, with no requirement for a substantial meal to be served alongside alcohol, and no curfew. However, people will have to eat and drink while seated
- Gyms and spas can reopen, as can zoos, theme parks, libraries and community centres
- Members of the same household can take a holiday in England in self-contained accommodation
- Weddings attended by up to 15 people can take place
- The number of care home visitors allowed will increase to two per resident
- All children will be able to attend any indoor children's activity, including sport
- Parent and child groups of up to 15 people (not counting children aged under five years old) can restart indoors
Outdoor gatherings must still be limited to six people or two households and you must not socialise indoors with anyone you do not live with or have not formed a support bubble with.

I'm a bit conflicted with the passports thing. On one hand I think it's important that people do get vaccinated, for others around them as well as themselves, however, some people are genuinely worried about the vaccine, and people do have a right to decided what is and isn't injected into their bodies, and I'm not sure how I feel about those that choose not to be vaccinated getting refused entry to places.
Something else I've been thinking, If the biggest worry is a strain on our health system, I wonder how people would feel about funded their own treatments if they choose not to be vaccinated.

I'm against denying people who are not vaccinated (yet) access to places for a couple of reasons:
a) We are talking about recently developed vaccines, and people should have the right to wait how this will evolve.
b) Data protection is important, and I don't want everyone out there to know my health status.
c) Strictly by law, vaccinations are legitimated injuries. There is only one case when I want any other person to legitimate injuries on my body and that's when I'm unconscioua and they try to save my life. Beyond that: My body, my choice!

I have a friend which has multiple sclerosis and cannot be vaccinated. She cannot leave the house anymore because she is very vulnerable to the virus to start with. Your body your choice my ass. We live in society, there are social rules you need to abide by. Being a viral vector is not acceptable. Being vaccinated is not just for you.I am the maniac, I am the ghoul
