Prayed through the nights, Felt so alone, Suffered from alienation, Carried the weight on my own, Had to be strong, So I believed, And now I know I've succeeded in finding the place I conceived, I had a vision of love...

There's very little happy news that comes out of this pandemic, but I just found out both bad and then good news in the past hour.
The bad news is that the immeasurably vile nutjob Katie Hopkins was apparently cast on celebrity Big Brother in Australia and flew here.
She then shared a video online, presumably from hotel quarantine in Sydney saying she was going to flout COVID-19 restrictions and lockdown while she is here.
The good news? That led to her contract for the show being terminated, and being investigated by federal authorities, and she may be deported. Happy news!
Lesson? Don't brag about breaking the law.Last edited by InfoFromAus; Sun July 18, 2021, 09:25.MESMARIAHSING!

U-turn as Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak to self-isolate after criticism
Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have been forced into a U-turn and will self-isolate after coming into contact with the health secretary, who has contracted Covid-19.
The UK prime minister and chancellor had initially tried to avoid isolation by saying they were part of a pilot testing scheme, prompting an outcry from members of the public and backbench Conservative MPs.
Their U-turn came after only three hours amid chaos at No 10 over plans to drop many Covid restrictions for “freedom day” on Monday, and minutes after the communities secretary, Robert Jenrick, had defended their plans to continue working from Downing Street.

Flights from and to UK should be halted indefinitely, no other country has to suffer the consequences of their "freedom day"

SAGE member says we're heading into the biggest wave of COVID yet
"So-called freedom day today really is a time when we still do need to exercise a great deal of caution," Professor Andrew Hayward told Sky News.
"We are heading into the biggest wave of COVID infection that we've ever seen.
"Even though the vaccine will substantially reduce the number of deaths and hospitalisations, it's still likely that we will see somewhere in the low tens of thousands of deaths, even if we're cautious.
"That could move into the middle, high tens of thousands of deaths if we just went back to normal activity.
"Remaining cautious is really the key thing in this unlocking of legal restrictions."
He added that uncontrolled transmission will lead to "extraordinary" numbers of cases.
PS Hope Boris is enjoying isolation." Princess of Pop Katy Perry "

I’ve not been anywhere today but I’m hearing most people are still wearing masks on public transport and in shops.
Can understand young people itching to go out and dance and pull - the video from Heaven looked so fun - but I’ve no personal desire to suddenly start visiting clubs again. I’m a bit old now anyway
