Also, Turkey is lifting the mask wearing mandates. Only in public transportation, planes, theatres and cinemas people will be required to wear a mask.

I saw bits from Biden's speech and hardly anyone wore masks anymore. I wish it would be the same here. When the German Chancellor held his speech on Ukraine in German parliament, the president of the parliament had to remind him to put the mask on as soon as he was finished with his speech .
Covid and the situation in Ukraine have zero correlation.

No one cares about the pandemic anymore but there's been record cases in New Zealand and South Korea these past couple of weeks.

    It depends.

Am I going to a big city or a crowded place? Mask on.
Am I staying at my town (or towns nearby)? Mask off.

Maybe it's stupid logic, but I don't live in a densely populated town / area, and when I'm out on the street I also don't get too close to anyone I don't like / know / care about so I don't myself at risk often.

These cold days I've been wearing scarfs or similar things (covering my mouth and nose) first in the morning and in the evening though, maybe that counts. xD

My sister, brother-in-law and their two children got covid a few weeks ago and three of them are still not well. It's so frustrating you don't know what effect it will have on you till you get it.

I have never wore a face mask outdoors. I always find it strange when I see someone wearing one while outdoors or when being alone in a car.

I work with little children so there is no way I can keep away from catching runny noses or chesty coughs.

In my country, they are still required indoors. As far as I know ( stevyy , please correct me if I'm wrong there!) pupils still have to wear ones in school. Some areas even require FFP2 masks. There are only a few loopholes when it comes to mask politics, but I try to use them as much as I can.

Why do you already assume the worst? People never get out of this endless circle with that way of thinking.

I don't even wanna think about the next wave. I just know it *could* be bad because most people don't care about covid as there's a full war going on right now (ok, there's more than one, but only one of them makes headlines).

Yesterday, my co-worker and I discussed about how we've lost many customers during Covid. In the next few weeks, the measurements are going to get relieved a bit and we wondered whether that will bring back some customers. Both of us had doubts and hopes at the same time.
We used to have a bunch of older (regular) customers who either died or became too old to care for themselves, so I asked my co-worker how they once had become aware of our business in the first place, and she said 'Well, they suddenly popped up out of nowhere and then they simply came on a regular base.'. So far so good, but those people who left couldn't get replaced by new ones in the meantime.
She is assuming that during Covid, people became less spontaneous by checking out new businesses, hoping that one eventually sticks, but rather stick with their conventions and going strict from A to B without even losing a thought about C or D.
On top of that, she's believing that a few customers got used to home office and decided to cook at home.
Additionally, you've also got the unvaccinated, the ones annoyed at having to show their papers every time they go somewhere and the ones who are still very scared of catching the infection.
In order to finally have business as usual, we need:
    a) the measurements relieved
    b) people returning to their old habits
    c) people learning to mentally (!) let Covid go.

I also hug or fist bump friends. But I don‘t like touching strangers or strangers touching me. And as a lefty, hand shakes have always felt weird and unnatural to me anyway.

I’m still hugging people hello - especially when I go out to a pub or club. Might explain why I tested positive yesterday

I had a rapid antigen test today at home and i'm finally positive. I'm showing mild symptoms, the only bad thing is a bit coughing. If i don't get worse (hopefully i won't after 4 doses of vaccines), i'll be relieved when it's over. Wish me luck guys.
