If you think so, then that's your observation. I just don't believe this recent 'Everyone has to be solidary because we're one big community' hype that's going on recently. It doesn't come across as authentic to me because those people who are authentically solidary neither feel the need to constantly tell everyone about it nor feel the need to label others as selfish and ego-centered.

It's amazing how you simply ignore the absolute Basic .
Do you understand that we live in a community and that what you call one's "basic human right" ends where another person's "basic human right" starts?
So,if you are going out and exposing, not only you but a whole community to a new virus' variant that is causing a new rise of cases and can mutate into an even more dangerous and lethal one, you are not talking about YOUR "basic human right" only but rather "basic human rights" of a whole community, or city,or country.
And ,it's because of this kind of people (like you and and many many others) who disguise their irresponsibility into 'it's my life and I'm the only one responsible for it' that we are where we are.
Honestly,at this point,I think you do all this-especially your racist remarks- looking for attention .

Meanwhile Melbourne and the rest of the state of Victoria will join Sydney in lockdown in Australia as cases continue to rise.

Australia's bid to quash a fast-spreading coronavirus outbreak will see its second largest city lock down late today, bringing the total number of Australians under stay-at-home orders to around 12 million.

Melbourne and the rest of Victoria will join Sydney in a "hard and fast" lockdown, state premier Dan Andrews said, as Australia battles an outbreak of the Delta variant.

The largely Covid-free country has recorded nearly 1,000 cases of the strain nationwide in the last month.

Andrews said he took the decision to return Melbourne to its fifth lockdown "with a heavy heart" but it was an "absolute necessity".

A stark warning from the WHO as UK reports almost 50000 new cases. Stay safe everyone.

The World Health Organization (WHO) warned today that "more dangerous" variants of Covid-19 could tear across the world as global infections soared to half a million daily, largely driven by the virulent Delta strain.

An AFP tally of official sources found that after an initial dip, cases have been rising again worldwide since the end of June, topping 540,000 on Tuesday and again on Wednesday.

"The pandemic is nowhere near finished," the WHO's emergency committee said in a statement.

It highlighted "the strong likelihood for the emergence and global spread of new and possibly more dangerous variants of concern that may be even more challenging to control"
    .

Given that it's only advice, I would be surprised to see many nightclubs turning people away for not having 2 jabs after being closed for so long. Especially since there's going to be a higher percentage of younger people without this passport.
Personally I think that is impossible to enforce and completely unfair to staff. Government are covering themselves with all these little adds ons. When ish hits the fan.. which it will watch them use all these things as fallbacks. I expect comments like " Well government advice was always to keep wearing masks and limit crowds to vaccinated people" etc etc

    Exactly.

We knew it would be wishy washy contradictory messaging, which they had in the beginning of the outbreak, ever since BoJo went ahead saying restrictions would be lifted on Monday.

this is a lockdown and not the 'restrictions' we had in London and in general England.

How do you think vaccines are doing against Delta variant?

Agreed and that really gives the virus a chance to further mutate as it speads among more and more people. This full reopening is a massive gamble tbh. Time will tell if it was the correct choice or not.

That's not a problem as long as hospitality and death rates remain low and vaccination keeps going on.
