So the vote is on hold. Will this nightmare never end?
I have a bad feeling about this.

I suspect she’s already preparing her own Brexit and googling Christmas holidays political exile.

This whole thing is also making the UK look pretty inept. Actually both the UK and US have lost a lot of prestige and respect these last couple years.

                      • ^^ It happened many years ago.
Do you remember George W. Bush attacking Iraq due to supposed weapons of mass destruction and Tony Blair following him wagging his tail.
I started rolling on the floor laughing then, and never stopped.
This time is even more hilarious.

u know that that would basically rip Ireland into pieces and cause riots, right? There would be a HARD border in Ireland again.

Also the EU and UK would fast implement tariffs. The City of London would flee in a heartbeat leaving those big skycrapers empty.

Then so be it. If we don’t want that then we have to encourage our MPs to vote for the deal on the table. The deal isn’t perfect but we have to tell our MPs how to vote. We were never going to have a perfect Brexit and there are going to be things about the deal we don’t like.

I mean I can understand the people who want to see it thru now, but not at all costs. There is still this deal that May has negotiated... and if the MPs would take their job seriously they would vote for it bc it is the only and best option FOR Brexit.

If they think the deal is not OK and they do not support it, then they should support the remain idea.

A hard Brexit is not in the best interest of the British people which their politicians vowed to serve. And even tho people did vote to leave, it doesn't mean that they understood what a hard Brexit would or could do to their lives and the future of the entire UNITED Kingdom.

I assume that if the option was Hard Brexit with the dissolution of the UNITED Kingdom or if it even meant the independence of Northern Ireland - they would not have voted FOR Brexit.

You forget that a percentage of people voted for Brexit purely on the basis of boarder control. A hard Brexit with with a hard border pleases some people.

I don’t agree that if you don’t support this deal then you should support remain - a no deal is still a Brexit. It’s the fact people feel there’s an alternative deal available that annoys me: the options are clear - deal or no deal.

I don’t think Northern Ireland would leave the union over a hard border. It’ll ruffle some feathers, but the alternative isn’t viable. Though I’d support Northern Ireland leaving the union for a unified Ireland.
