I’ve just caught up on the results (I’m on a 3 hour train journey) and I’m shocked at how close she won it by. Can’t they just call another vote of no confidence in a few weeks if they think they might have the numbers?

It’s the border issue that’s key, I agree. I don’t know how you get around that now, unless the EU decides to actually backs down... which I can’t see happening. But if the border issue isn’t resolved before the end of March then surely the DUP can withdrawn their support and we have another confidence vote?
This is never ending.I have a bad feeling about this.

So if the EU doesn’t back down over the border, then the DUP will withdraw support from the government, which means another vote of no confidence, which means another general election (if there is even time) and that means postponing Brexit and potential a Labour government that lets us have a second referendum that then could vote to remain in the EU.
There’s no sense to the EU backing down over the border then. Basically it sounds like Brexit is ****ed.I have a bad feeling about this.

Re: UK Politics: Theresa May “wins” confidence vote (325-306
And with the vote being so close, I wouldn’t be surprised if some Tory MPs jump ship next time and vote against May if they think it can make a legitimate difference.I have a bad feeling about this.

They knew she wasn't willing to walk away with no deal, and that informed the deal she ended up with (which doesn't really represent a Brexit of any kind).
The whole process has been incredibly frustrating - it should've been a full on Brexit, or a renegotiated relationship that sees us remain with Europe.

at Jio... institutions such as: Centre For Economic Performance, The London School of Economics and Political Science, WTO, IMF, Institute For International Economics, Bank of England, as well as the BBC Research, ONS, Reuters
I don't see how 80% of all research done on Brexit and its consequences can be wrong while 2% of all research gets it right.
Is the world really such a fan club of the EU?
It seems like all that the majority of the British public reads is facebook, twitter and the Daily Mail.
It is scary how easily the other side got away with false claims and misrepresentations and how little impact some of the most highly respected research institutions had on this matter.
I don't seem to understand the notion that a UK outside of the EU would generate 1,1 trillion pounds in economic trade balance with China (as was presented by the leavers) when in fact the UK makes more money channeling good through Rotterdam harbour per week than the entire trade revenue with China as it currently is.My Chart

And even if a vote of no confidence succeeds, that simply means that she has to resign - it then falls to the ruling Conservative party to try and establish a replacement government to govern the remainder of the term (and that would need to have the confidence of the House). If they can't do that, an opposition party would then have the chance to do the same. If this doesn't happen with 14 days of the no confidence vote, a General Election is called but that cannot take place for at least another 25 working days under the Fixed Term Parliaments Act.
In a nutshell, it's one giant bloody mess.

I don’t want another vote. Just because they can doesn’t mean I want it. And it’s not the same vote. Why don’t you try and understand what’s happening before going in for your cheap troll shots?I have a bad feeling about this.

But who the hell would the tories get behind at this point? They’re totally divided within themselves - there was an attempted coup just weeks ago.
At least they’re all earning their wages at the momentI have a bad feeling about this.

The only thing the Tories seem to want less than Theresa May is Jeremy Corbyn - I don't think they'd give up their chance of governing the country. One senior Tory even stated that they're "like a family" when it matters.
