Well it is a huge change and it did come about for all the wrong reasons but people seem to miss the historical significance of it all. All the discussion is about what stupid thing politician x or y may have said or done or whether the british gdp will fall by 1 or 5% the next year or if the Slovene worker will be able to stay or not and forget that something much bigger is at play here and that is essentially the structure of the post-war order in Europe.

That video however forgets a major point: that you start a negotiation with maximalist positions and gradually give up ground until you reach an agreement. The UK does not have to have an agreement identical to any of the existing ones with non-EU members. But it does have to give up on at least some of its opening positions and the same has to be done by the EU as well (since it is in the interest of at least a few members states not to have a no deal Brexit). So in that sense the above video's main message is flawed...

Are the votes binding? If she loses the vote today then I’m not sure tomorrow’s is binding... meaning she could just power ahead with no deal. We might have no choice - the EU could technically force us to if they don’t grant the extension (and who would blame them?)

For one, the EU doesn't want the UK to leave, for all the reasons and especially to serve as an example of how hard it is to leave.

The EU has their own elections in May so everyone changes jobs. Either we sort it now before that or we’re looking at roughly a year delay.

Also, it’s not the EU that is delaying Brexit, it’s the UK. Another country might have unity over the issue.

I just have no idea what can be done in the UK to get something through parliament that allows us to leave - aside from a no deal. It’s so obvious that no deal is the only way forward.
