      • Just popping in here to say that the news about Matt Hancock thrills me. Out of everyone we know of in the government, he has been the worst culprit of them all to me. He's constantly placed blame entirely on the public, and it wouldn't surprise me at all that the person shouting the loudest would be breaking every rule in the book themselves. I don't doubt he's broken others too. Also, when the news was detailing the lockdown's one year anniversary, I noticed very clear duper's delight from Matt Hancock as he was talking about every heartbreaking circumstance that has happened. Good-f**king-bye.

There’s something every day with this government.

Why do things always get left at bus stops and on trains, it's like this stuff gets planted there wanting someone to find them.

We aren't even allowed to have files leave our office drawer so how in the hell could something like this happen...

This government is a damn mess

This is exactly the reason - the question is why?

The sad state British politics is in though, we just don’t have any viable alternatives. The right faces the same problems as the left, and that’s how far away from the centre will the public tolerate?

Boris bridges the gap pretty well between the different Tory factions (more so than May, which was her downfall) but the pool of competent tories with the right political leanings for Boris’ vision continues to dwindle as he keeps picking people who cause problems - and when you consider the amount of cabinet reshuffles May did, you have to wonder who’s left

                    • These stories came at the same time as the news that test and trace had lost 550m test results and failed to inform over 100,000 people to self-isolate - one is minded to think that this story (which should rightly be the biggest of them all) is being deliberately drowned out by these lesser stories (though I accept the security breach story with the confidential papers is very significant).

I have been ferociously checking in everywhere possible, even when you go in a shop and they have a half-hearted half-torn print off somewhere near the tills asking you to check in. I've been hoping for some time off work, but no such luck, this explains it.

                        • Tw*t Hancock should’ve been sacked but that would mean Boris would need to sack himself or it’d be pot, kettle, black.

It’s from four years ago, the plan was probably ousting May.

                                        • Keir Starmer has become one of my biggest frustrations in politics. I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt but that quickly grew into disappointment and over time, that’s development into frustration and now a little bit of anger.

He has been utterly dreadful as Leader of the Opposition - some might say he’s been plagued by the fact there’s a pandemic but I don’t accept that excuses is complete ineffectiveness. He is a footnote in political history and the sooner he goes, the better.

If a general election was called tomorrow, I wouldn’t vote Labour. Having moved to them in the last election on the back of the promise he showed, that’s really disappointing.

Keir's not willing to take a stand to anything thinking it can bridge the gaps in the shattered red wall.

He really is a complete waste of space. All the comments on his tweets are “I want to vote Labour but what the hell are your policies and how are you the opposition?” He’s making the Labour party invisible.
