    • ^^ Yeah what part of the question asked do you not understand? So didn't they think much or did they not care much? Which one is it?

Best go through this again those who voted for Brexit don't represent all the rest of the UK so to imply it is just your opinion not fact. Obviously I probably conclude you voted for Brexit and you have yet to say if you thought about the consequences to NI when you voted. That is your prerogative not to answer. I was in the UK when the IRA was planting bombs in England during the troubles and remember vividly the violence in NI . So I was thinking about the consequences for NI during Brexit.

        • You can dress it up however you want, your logic is flawed -
the issue isn’t with the referendum results but the way Brexit has been achieved. NI history of violence was not a reason to not vote for Brexit.

The threat of violence should never be a factor in achieving a democratic mandate and its worth remembering over 40% of NI voted to leave the EU too.

I didn’t vote for Brexit - I hate the idea we aren’t in the EU and have said this many time. But I’ve accepted it and it is what it is. Five years later I really see no advantage in going down the ‘Did you think of X when you voted?’ because honestly, it just sounds like the opening question to the blame game.

          • Fair enough to want to move on but I don't see a solution or lessons learned. Easier I suppose for the public to blame politicians than the majority take some collective responsibility or admit they fell for prejudices and demagoguery.

              • Well it’s all going on at the moment isn’t it?

Dominic Cummings going after Boris, Boris’ girlfriend’s friend being the media leak and questions over how the refurbishment of his apartment in in no. 11 was financed. Not to mention lobbying and cronyism issues and leaked text messages from Boris, and the upcoming Parliament inquiry into how the government responded to covid.

It is nice to see that Westminster, one way or another, seems ready to take Boris to task now the pandemic is subsiding. Not much noise from Tory MPs yet, but it’s early days.

They always use the word "probed" in that context too. Eg, Such and such probed Person A for the information. Or Following an intense probing by Person B it was revealed that Person A had in fact, been at the scene.

"Fingered" in this context means to accuse someone of something or to place blame.

Or maybe he just pleasured him anally. I guess we will never really know

And honestly, I'm not a bit surprised. I could very well do without Boris Johnson's style of leadership.

Well if the statement is true, it's quite worrying, however it might put to rest some of the conspiracy theories that governments don't want to come out of lockdowns because they're enjoying the power over people.

I'm pleased to see so much scrutiny on Boris though. He's an abysmal 'leader' and it's about time he and his minions stopped hiding under the pandemic umbrella.

Problem is, there's no real alternative. I thought Sir Kier would breathe some new life in Labour but he's turned out quite disappointing

                                                • The clip of Sir Kier getting kicked out of someones pub was so embarrassing to watch. That landlord was pretty deluded though. He thought Labour had a responsibility to have opposed any kind of lockdown.
