There are few people left of his ilk, his importance and stature - he was one of the finest actors ever and moreover, a pioneer. I often watch his speech at the Oscars with total admiration, as he talks about his career and all the people that have helped him - such a sad loss but he lived until a grand age. RIP Sidney. My mom is a pretty big fan of his. I grew up watching 'To Sir, with Love' and 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' more times than I can remember. Rest in peace.

What a force he was in the 60s.
