Russia launched fresh waves of missile attacks across Ukraine on Saturday, killing at least 14 people in a strike on an apartment block in the eastern city of Dnipro.

In addition to providing 14 Challenger 2 tanks, the U.K. will be providing 30 AS90s (which are apparently large, self-propelled guns) and yesterday, the Daily Mirror reported that we are going to also be providing 4 Apache AH-64E helicopters.

All of this heavy battle machinery will no doubt do great things for Ukraine’s war effort but they need so much more from other western countries.

Proud of my country for doing all it can to help Ukraine, there are others that respectfully need to up their support - countries like Germany and France are major players and should be doing more.

Well according to political commentators, the UK got the ball rolling to induce pressure on Germany and the US - but Germany didn't want to send tanks without the political cover of the US doing the same. I expect that the announcement just follows the recent summit of foreign secretaries, but really the announcement comes in the nick of time - so pleased for Ukraine and these countries need to be ready to send more.

I don‘t particularly like Scholz, but he is smart. With a clear NO from him, Ukraine would be getting those measly 14 tanks from the UK and that‘s it. With a clear but premature YES from him, they would be getting 3 (UK, GER, POL) x 14 = 42. But thanks to him being smart about this (you call it ''dithering''), they‘re getting almost twice that number now. The US repeatedly said that they didn‘t want to send their tanks, but he made them.

I expect Macron and Sanchez to follow suit now, getting us over 100. And then there are Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, the Nordic countries, Turkey and others who should also do their part before we send more.

IF another European country was attacked by Russia that was in NATO, then NATO would invoke Article 5.

Article 5 would be possibly, Game over for everyone, unless the countries that Russia attacked were Austria,
Switzerland, Cyprus, Ireland, Malta, and the Vatican. Who are not part of NATO. So far, so good, yes?

However, I am not certain about Andorra or Monaco as they have certain security arrangements with the major countries bordering host country. Who are part of NATO, bummer.

Serbia is a no brainer to not be attacked by Russia, possibly Moldovia is okay, possibly. News from Moldovia recently is

Once again my country is going to be in the eye of the storm due to the Leopard tanks.
I think Hellas owns the most of these tanks among all the other EU members.
Sending weapons to Ukraine was already a blazing topic here because of Erdogan threating on a daily basis to attack us.
Now, the majority of people will be really enraged.

It also doesn't help that there are millions of nuclear war simulations involving GER /and other countries on Tik Tok with high ranking Russian government officials advocating for a nucelar bomb attack on Berlin and or an invasion.

It also doesn't help that the doomsday clock was set to 90 seconds to midnight and that major military experts are expecting full on NATO confrontation in the coming weeks with total human annihilation as its consequence. i for one have stopped buying concert tickets for future events bc all these news have me in panic mode.
