I like this idea. I hope next year there's more of a game plan heading into the season to get more weeks.

I think we are seeing patterns in its performances against its competitors.

The general scenario is that Mariah has a good shot at #1 the 2 chart weeks before Christmas (i.e. the chart week starting the 9th and 16th based on this year's dates). It's normally very hard to beat here on the 9th (Willow managed to do it last year thanks to being a new release and heavily discounted sales). The chart week of 16th is almost impossible to beat Mariah or Brenda as their powers will be in full force.

They now need to focus on the two chart weeks either side of this.

The chart week of the 23rd is sometimes up in the air because it depends on whether it's streaming can counterarct the loss of it from the 27th onwards. So i'm not going to focus on this one.

The chart week of the Dec 2nd (i.e. the current chart week this year) it looks like Mariah is capable of going #1 unless there's a monster carryover hit like Adele's Easy On Me releasing very cclose to it.

The big wildcard week is the week before that. i.e. just like this chart week that has passed. Unless there is a strong carryover song, competitors will need to scrable 240 chart points to beat here.

I think next year they should give it a short and do something early the chart week of November 24th. i.e. special CD covers with new images or casettes.

Then save the big one for the chart week of Christmas to at least guarantee and counteract Brenda's streaming powers that last week to end the year as #1.

I think Mariah should have no shame releasing multiple CD covers an cassettes. And release them weekly in batches so the lambs can continue to buy them.

But at least make them special and never before seen. It's not had to do surely, a few photos well in advance attached to a CD or Digital purchase.

Not only will she improve her chances to conteract artists who pull a similar feat. i.e. Taylor.

She can aid in its dismantling. i.e. if Billboard thinks it's too much then they will take it away.....that also works in our favour because Taylor won't be able to pull the same trick around Christmas.

Win-Win.

If so, Mariah should do this as well. It's not hard, just invite a few friends and guests DJs to do it and release one new one (varing genre) each week the 4 weeks before christmas.

Those who have tickets to the 4 concerts definately are going to be in for a treat. The fact this is being recorded for prime time television means the production will likely be a step up from prevvious years (or at least hope so). The production for her XMas concerts have been improving each time.

Also with guest appearances, there could be alot of surprises.

I wonder who these guests are besides the obvious DJ clue.
