by far. Some sources even claim SOY to have sold over 150 million consumption units (5x Candle in the wind). That's streaming in a nutshell. Thank God Mariah has a song that can compete in this consumption climate.

You can add at least 15 million in consumption to it = 40 million in total consumption. AIW is getting there... but we should not act as if these other legendary songs wouldn't have insane consumption as well.

AIWFCIY definitely surpasses IWALY on overall consumption. Yes it has big streaming numbers, but not at AIWFCIY level.And the 20m sales figures was not from official stats. It's certifications barely supports 18m sales, the 20 million sales have to be the accurate estimate then.AIWFCIY is already at 18 million with the certs of its 5 biggest markets. It's the fact , and nothing like discrediting the actual performance like some toxic fandoms would make

I know, but the way I figure it is that we can't compare pre-streaming hits and streaming hits. Streaming is the pre-streaming era equivalent of listening to a song on your cassette/CD/vinyl. Those spins weren't counted during the pre-streaming era, so we can't compare "consumption numbers" because the pre-streaming era songs didn't count those spins. Imagine if we counted all the times IWALY was played on someone's CD/Cassette back in the 90s...

I alone have played IWALY around 1,5 million times and I own the soundtrack. Adjusted for inflation I alone would account for 10 million sps units. <3

The fact that they don't even make an effort to substantiate it isn't a good sign.

She did mention in her memoir that she is never away from the twins for more than 24/48hrs at a time (can't remember which), that does lean into the idea that they spend a lot more time with her. Though that's the typical way joint custody goes anyway.

Glad that only a snippet was sung. I was getting nervous thinking of how would she execute the climax with justice lol. Nice tone and love the natural vibrato. But it seems like she struggles a bit with her breath control and head voice. I hope she’s not ill.
