For all the elder lambs who are not on Tik-Tok, theres this whole discussion there about these videos of different songs being covered by AI generated vocals from singers like Ariana Grande or Lady Gaga. Its pretty disturbing and something that could easily be featured on Black Mirror.

Mariah has such an emotional voice, it frustrates me that she hasn’t produced songs like IDWC or LTT or OHOMO since 2002.

I know she loves rnb, but her voice was made for those pop ballads - damn even nowadays her voice sounds best LIVE on those pop ballads and they are even easier for her to sing … she killed IDWC and LTT for example in Vegas.

all those rnb beat ballads (except WBT) are too complicated to sing live and don’t do her voice justice - oh and Yeahh I don’t like those piano ballads she produced with Big Jim etc - the emotion is missing, it’s more vocal showcase, eg Portrait is so forced.

she can still deliver she just doesn’t want to - do u remember that small snippet of TGTBAW during covid, WOW!! I wish we got the whole thing acapella.

I don’t understand why you have to disparage the “beat ballads” to praise the fact that she can write and sing the hell out of an ultra melodic ballad too

I think the reason she stopped making them after Glitter is because they literally fell out of mainstream popularity, the only bish in the world still making successful slow pop ballads is Adele and the only reason people listen to them is because her entire brand is adult contemporary ballad, whereas Mariah’s is more varied, timeless poppy R&B
