I dont know why theyre calling it a snub. I dont think Mariah, Janet, Whitney deserve to be at the R&RFoF yet, there are sooo many artists that are long overdue. Legends first, Missy and Sheryl Crow being inducted before so many others that came before them is truly a disgrace.

I think Mariah truly deserves to be inducted into each and everyone of these restrospective halls of fame.

Mariah has had the impact and has become a culture figure in the field of music and entertainment as a whole.

And on top of that - the cherry on top - is her unparalelled commercial success which was boosted by her cultural relevance.

The greatest living singer, one of the absolute top selling recording artists and one of the most impactful cultural icons in song, production, image and vocal.

It's truly a disgrace how she is and is contunied to be treated by all those academies and awards ceremonials.

I love how Dolly Parton pleaded with them to never consider her again. Some are truly above those lists and halls, especially when hipster aresholes spew their ignorant crap when they see someone who truly shape our culture be nominated and still have "issues" with it bc their fashionable 15 minutes of fame alt rock faves weren't considered.

In short, Mariah should reject any nomination (also by the Recording Academy). She is above them all.

Janet and Whitney are both in already, and deservedly so. Of course as that vulture article stated, no way Mariah could be inducted before them, yet that´s not a problem for the likes of Eminem and JayZ, who were inducted when Mariah precedes them and beat them on influence and success.
