Ok I'm OBSESSED with the "whenever I feel the need I envision" part that Brandy sings twice on the outro. OBSESSED! It's HAUNTING my mind. I love it. The outro is pure bliss, an absolute peak of musicality, magic, intensity. And TBF the final whistle is very well placed and executed, it adds something in terms of atmosphere.

LOL, all those scenes with the hoodie are cringe worthy.

The same age old problems. Awkward hand movements, stroking and pinching her hair in pretty much every shot.

Saved only by those scenes with Brandy in the video otherwise, as per usual. no concept.

I prefer this version to the 1997. It has smth that involves me in a mood thay i cant even describe that the 97 version doesnt

The original will always be classic but I think she sounds great (could do with a little more reverb) and as I’ve said I love the live band. It would not have made sense to just re-use the same instrumental.

I love that you can clearly hear the lyrics also.

The Roof (1997) is obviously a huge classic and very well polished.

What I love about the new version is the rawness, the real band and the fact that you can understand the lyrics more than the original due to her pronunciation.

Her voice sounds fine to me.. just it’s current condition. To say it’s 25 years after the original, it’s pretty bloody good.
