While the promo was mid and short lived, the build to Caution was actually great. She was posting studio pics all year, there were little hints as to who she was working with, she was stepping out looking fit and like herself (which was the first time in years). Ugh I miss 2018.

I remember that Liron told us after the release of the album that mariah did actually put some of the lyrics on some tweet or some clues of the lyrics. That was good, what I didnt like was the fact that by the time the album was released we had listened half of the album as I think theu were like 4 or 5 songs already out and the album was only 10 tracks. That was a bit of a let down for me.

A miss vulnerable-Riah. Camouflage is quite great and emotional, petals is the best.. chanteuse isn’t a bad album after. It has all the typical Mariah album, a bop, vulnerability, cover song, love song.. it ruined by the chipmunk vocals, if she has natural vocals it would be an amazing album

ABMB showcases the rare brillance of Mariah as a writer in her uncanny ability to capture and combine, on an almost subliminal level, melodic sweetness and lyrical poignancy. There is this tender tension of joy and pain, happiness and sadness. It's so subtle it sneaks up on you. You hardly notice, until you do, and then you can't stop feeling it.

Yeah I see that point but I would consider that a collaboration of a different capacity for some reason. I imagine Solange would be much more at the forefront than DH and I’d personally love to see some high profile collabs that I feel she’s worthy of (without disrespect to others). To be honest though, I’d be happy with anything right now.

I want to hear Mariah engaging with artists who might inspire her to try something a bit new but that still feels "MC". Dev is a perfect example of someone's who's been able to bring something new out of her with fantastic results. I'd be down - taking that into account - for people like Victoria Monet, Solange, Kelela, Snoh Aalegra, SZA, Ella Mai, Nao or even H.E.R., Tinashe, Khelani or Summer Walker. It's R&B but might move the dial just a little bit and reveal something fascinating and new to the catalogue. Because it is a CATALOGUE, darlings! All women in my list but I'd be open to a man or two as well

I hope on the new material she’s making her vocal engineer is using that new more natural RePitch software all the big artists are using instead of the melodyne and autotune.

all her songs after caution sounds horrible vocally imo. like really really bad almost intolerable to listen to. wbt valetines mix, abmb runaway bunny, close my eyes 2020 (the worst vocals I ever heard in my life), big energy remix (I learnt to get used to this one), christmas baby please come home apple special.. if she sounds and use the same thing she used in her voice on her next album it' gonna be tough to listen to a whole album like that. Caution she didn't have the greatest vocals showcase but it sounds pleasant an natural

I don't care if she edits the vocals on a record, who isn't doing that, so long as the end result is natural sounding and all the edits fit together well. If she doesn't sound like she is half computer or that a bunch of individual lines have been duck taped together (which I always thought was a problem with a few songs on MIAM), I'm golden.

I loved Caution (including Runway), if she can deliver something at that standard again I would be over the moon.

I've never been that unhappy with her studio vocals. I don't really get the complaints, but to each his own. I'm easy to please.
