I loved #Beautiful instantly, which was only 2 albums ago (even though it feels like an eternity). And tbh I loved GTFO instantly, though in a different way.

Actually since E=MC2 it's been the 2nd singles that are the problem, especially considering she had so many other potential hits to choose from.

I loved #B too... instantly. I also worshipped TAOLG instantly.

I devoted my life to Triumphant - instantly.

I loved and prayed to The Distance - instantly.

I thot YME was cute, GTFO was not good, I Don't was a choice and With You was OK.

A special shoutout to MIAM - the amazing not so elusive album which is so much fun to listen to.

Caution is kinda dark and heavy and you need to already be in a mood... but MIAM has so many moods within itself... it just IS.

Caution and MIAM are both my favourite albums of all times now.

CLG is such a great showcase of her voice, she literally sounds like a human synthesizer

The live vocals are even more of a marvel considering it’s so damn fast, at 80(!) BPM it clocks in as Mariah’s most uptempo ballad, 10 BPM faster than WBT, and it was not slowed down here at all

She was still the little girl performing in her bedroom, living out the dream, showing the world what she’s got without concern for anything else, them notes were powered by pure adrenaline

Sometimes I wonder if creating an alter ego to become before she performs would help, and that alter ego would be 21 y/o Mariah, who she knows so well, and could channel before performances

CLG and IIO at SNL is beyond... just beyond... the production of the tracks in that live setting with that band and then those out of the world vocals... the look... it was absolute perfection from start to finish... the audience was blessed, truly blessed. Imagine being in the presence of that.

She deserved the Pop Vocal Grammy for those performances. How anyone could watch that and conclude that it was merely OK is a cime against humanity.

CLG is her best #2 peaking single and truly deserved to be a #1 and a huge international blockbuster too. The GP at the time did her dirty.

It's probably my all time favorite ballad of hers, the perfect melody and a vocal that used every tool she had available.

It was such a crime that they didn't finish the push for this one, should have been a #1 easily.

Oh, I missed those times when she releases a single and loving it in an instant. Nowadays, we always give it a 4th, 5th try before we say it's nice.

I must have been one of the few who was very into STD when I first heard it at the premier via the livestream.

Still like it today.
The post intro and choruses it is very strong.
And it got good big station airplay here in Australia.

STD could have used an edit or remix with a harder beat throughout but I still thought it was strong.

Now, The Raririties has a bunch of really strong songs throughout (like the whole thing) that STD doesn't stand out as much on the album... also it's near the end, but still I can listen to it and enjoy it immensely.
