AC songs don't chart that well on the hot100 in general. But WY was a mild hit on that format. If it had been a little catchier with a little more movement to it, think Toni's Long as I Live, it might have found a decent little audience on the radio.

For H100 success I think she'd have to go more pop than she seems to want now. I'd appreciate even the small victories. Lets go #1 on Adult R&B Songs

Agreed. I'd love for her to take a few stabs at true "Mariah brand Pop R&B". Preferably with a great dance remix as well.

Honestly I think the winning version of that contest (The Progressions remix) would've been a smash. It sounded more 90s Mariah than anything Mariah had herself released since Daydream.

I think even GTFO could've had a chance if it got a remix with Drake and the era wasn't ruined with "with you" as the followup. I love GTFO but it's too mellow and don't go anywhere, it needed a punch for the chorus cause it stays the same the whole song and for a lead single is too slow. a remix could do the work.

if she wants her album to succeed she needs to go all out for the lead single with a hot feat and the 2nd single close to the album release be at least moderate good and people will give a chance to stream the album. if she comes bck with mellow and boring songs no one will even give a chance to stream out of curiosity
