I loved it when she had this remix contest for I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time. There were some really great remixes because of it that were never officially released.

Agreed. I'd love for her to take a few stabs at true "Mariah brand Pop R&B". Preferably with a great dance remix as well.

I know her heart is with r&b but I'm here for EMC3. Full on pop boppers, a few trad ac ballads, with some hot features and resung dance remixes.

Maybe that's why I like a disco concept album. She can bop while holding onto some old school funk elements. Add features with The Weekend and Bruno, work with a producer like Nile Rodgers. Do a ballad cover / duet of Love So Right with Barry Gibb... Go retro 70s neo-disco just cause she can. Why not?

A No No (ft. Cardi B) & 8th Grade (ft. Drake) could've been hits for her.... A lead single with a hot feature is enough to set off a new era,all she needs to do afterwards is NOT ruin the momentum with a weak 2nd single.

I get the impulse to go for the rap feature. But what do we think about the old school vocal duet, with a worthy partner, ala Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, B2Men. I think the huge Ariana/Weekend vocal collaborations are tapping into a missed pop art form. Honestly, the rapper feature is wearing thin for me...It really needs a rest.

Honestly I think the winning version of that contest (The Progressions remix) would've been a smash. It sounded more 90s Mariah than anything Mariah had herself released since Daydream.
