Why do I keep reading tweets that Mariah announced in radio this week that there’s an album coming this year? Clearly it’s false as we’d be all over it here.. I just wish people wouldn’t make things up like that

Caution felt like it was leaving you wanting more, a part II would be cool. She could flip the colours so it's Pink on blue and then release a special double album like JT did. Dreaming here.

Also I came across this from Fred Ball, who produced One Mo Gen from her, I thought it was cool:

I had the great honour accepting the Ivo Novello “Special International Award” on behalf of Mariah Carey yesterday! She couldn’t attend the event because of some last minute changes to her schedule so she asked me to pick it up for her ! I spent time with her in the studio last year working on her latest album “Caution” and no one deserves this award more then Mariah! She’s a complete force in the studio, incredible songwriter, incredible producer, (yes she’s one of only seven women that’s been Grammy nominated for Producer Of The Year). We would go through 30-40 different snare drums before we settled on which one suited the song best and she would have a complete vision of what she wanted it to sound like. She would insist on trying out different mics on the piano and then decide which one she liked best. She would always be the last one to leave the studio (sometimes 6-7am). I think this is a side of Mariah that maybe not many people know, in control of every aspect of the creative process. Thank you Mariah and congratulations #ivornovello #mariahcarey #prsformusic

I really hope there’s a Mariah lead vocal version of “Malibu,” I remember her saying she did a song she wrote with Clarissa after everything else, and “Malibu” is the co-write

I know Malibu is a hit because I can retrieve it from memory, the melody, the lyrics, the music, everything—without even having to go listen to the album again

I feel pretty confident she’ll release something non-Christmas related this year. And if it happens, it should come out between April and May, it could even go as far as June for the release if she doesn’t plan on releasing new Christmas music.
