Spoiler Alert, in case you don't want to hear about the new song.

So I log in randomly and find out from you all that Meemz has a new song out and I had no idea at all. I happen to be in NZ at the moment. So it's now available on Youtube in NZ. So first impressions are that it's pleasant but pretty much like the snippet released before x 2 (i.e. 2 verse, 2 prechorus and 2 chorus). After that, it's got some fun whistles in the bridge and then the final chorus x 2 with some more fun runs and whistles at the end. No crazy vocals at the end. It gives me "filler" track vibes from something like Rainbow or MOAIA ... very nostalgic - even 80s in some touches. In some parts, the vocals sound a bit transister radio-ish/dry, but nothing too horrible. Overall, pleasant and nice that Meemz is continuing to record new music. Maybe it will grow a bit more on me after a few listens.

It just plods… especially the “uh, uh uh uh uh obsessed” parts. plus, I hate the vocal effects, I’m so glad that T Pain trend died out quickly.

I remember I was so excited for the lead single, I waited by my computer for hours and I was so gutted when I heard it

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are absolute legends but part of me would be more excited if the reunion was a Walter production. (And it would probably be a better song too lol)

Im sure your thoughts will be more nuanced.

I personally didnt like it on first listen. But the chorus and outro saved me from hating it. But, I only heard it once so maybe with more plays I will love it more. Im sure I will.

I don't know but I think most of her songs especially from 2008 onwards sounds messy at first listen. Haha. Tried listening with earphones and earbuds and it sounds way, way better.
