Maybe that's all she has to say about it
For me, it's quite clear and it's the sum of many factors that she mentioned in these interviews through the years.
to be clear im not blaming her, or reprimanding in any way. Her life is her own to do as she pleases. Im just curious about the thought process behind it all.Everything, it only fades...

Came across this on YouTube. Nice cover of Mine Again. Damn! That song is a beast to sing!
I remember hearing a LQ leaked version on the internet before TEOM’s release. I think it was a snippet. I was in love from the first sound I heard!http://marcokircher.com

Tho tbh this tidbit already answered some questions I had when it came out.

It could potentially be why she will never release it.

Lambs trying to spill Tee, I mean Tea…..
What are you all talking about?
Fragile voice?
I don’t agree with the Butterfly Album showing her vocal deterioration.
Plus, have a listen to her singing Mine Again many years later.
Singers adapt as they age. And your voice changes.
Plus, as an artist, you end up finding different ways to use your instrument and express yourself.
you call it deterioration. I call it natural progression of life.
anywho….
Lambs bored coming up with theories now.
We need something new from Mariah.

Honestly the voice topic is always a giant elephant in the room nowadays but it is an interesting topic when done respectfully…
The change from Music Box to Daydream is kinda mind blowing… like how?! And again from Daydream to Butterfly but I actually like the 1997/8 raspiness more than her super clear 1995/6 voice

But I also understand that no-one wants to air their less than sunny parts of their past/history for analysis. It's like what Tina Turner said somewhere - she hates it that her worst part of her life is what she is remembered for and is what everyone keeps on wanting to ask her about, when she herself has accepted the past and moved on.

She has a fragile voice in the sense she has nodules tho.
The fact that she suffers from allergies combined with her stage fright and her own insecurities and personal stuff and sh!t she went through publicly don't help at all.
It's a miracle that she's still alive and that she can do the things with her voice she still does now.
We should appreciate her more.

Now SUD led to vocal deterioration and we've never heard that album. LMAO the reach

Butterfly was Daydream but with rasp, except that more agile.
And her voice peaked again in 2002-2004. Tonally I prefer this Era (CB/CBWT) over DD and she also showed a better technique. I mean, she managed to do 69 shows slaying in all of them.
Again, Beacon '14 and '15 (and some other performances/shows, like even Jamaica, or Cape Town '16 or '18 Asian Tour, Endless Love acapella '19, etc) are testimony that her voice is still there.

Yeah, this is pure vocal bliss.
Her voice wasn't in the best shape but her tone and vocal delivery made up for it.
Her best cover and *the prettiest she's ever sounded in studio* (I've said this so many times LOL), along with There For Me
INCREDIBLE.

It's a pretty song, but I feel the production is a bit bland. The melody however is very pretty, and I love the staccato like whistles. Her tone at the start too, with the low notes, is lovely.

It seems like the Kanye West song where he samples Always Be My Baby won't make the cut on his album.

I don't think its needed to be so dismissive of other peoples opinions. We dont need to have heard SUD ( even though we have heard it) to wonder if someone with a fragile voice who also had nodules did not do some sort of damage or at least put herself under a lot of strain by recording Daydream all day and then spending the nights writing and recording SUD. I think its a valid point and is an interesting thing to consider. I mean when was she even sleeping at that point? And Mariah has said herself that sleep is so important to her voice."
