TEOM gets 2,5 million weekly streams on Spotify alone. It will surpass 600 million streams (total) at the end of this year... and moves around 120 million streams on Spotify per annual.

The album has been eligible for 7xP for quite some time now. By mid 2020s it will be eligible for 8xP, then by 2030 9xP and by 2033 the latest diamond eligible (if streaming continues to grow like it currently is).

By 2033 Merry Christmas might be eligible for 15x Platinum. That album moves over 250,000 SPS units per annual in the USA and is moving ever closer to 300,000 yearly.

Since it was certified 8xP in 2020... I can see it go 9xP after this season.

If it's getting 120M streams annually on Spotify, that means it's getting roughly 80,000 album units, since the general formula is 1500 streams equals to 1 album unit. If it's at 7.5M units in the US like you're saying, then it will take it 31 years to sell the 2.5M units required for diamond certification. You could argue that this is Spotify only and that other platforms in the US will help it reach that milestone faster, but again Spotify provides us WW streams and not US only streams, meaning they're even lower than 120M per year for her there. Her performance on other platforms with TEOM isn't particularly encouraging either, since it's not even top 600 on Apple Music US or Amazon Music US, the only other relevant platforms in the US. Eventually streaming is gonna plateau too, so I think the earliest it'll reach diamond is in 25+ years, and only if streaming continues to surge.
Also, I'm shocked to discover Merry Christmas is already 8X platinum. At this rate it's gonna be diamond in 5 years.
