Exactly! It’s my favourite ballad by her for probably a decade. Since MCIIU. It has a proper structure;

verse
chorus
verse
chorus
middle 8
chorus

And each section is clear. The melody is strong, the chord sequence is beautiful, there’s no fast singing. The middle 8 is sublime and the climax is classic Mariah whilst remaining uber chilled and true to the songs mood.

Its been on repeat here all morning.

The structure of the song is so complex, I love it.

Does this site ever work properly?

One of the reasons I've been absent for quite a while is that every time I tried to log in, it was down (at least for me).

It took me like 4 hours to enter today and every time I make a post, an error message appears and I have to refresh the page.

Unfortunately in Canada the song is not even listed in the New Music Friday category in Spotify. Same for iTunes. No banners and nowhere to be found in the new release. It’s over for the Hot 100 entry. But it’s a lovely song! Super happy with it

My theory: mariah released this single now in advance independently cause she was obsessed with the song so that’s why Spotify is on board promoting and it’s not Apple exclusive, that’s why there’s no AppleTV logo and the music video she directed herself. And it wasn’t released in December like last year.

Spotify is hardly going beyond the minimum though. It's great it is on this playlist, it's a start. But not some of the major ones.

She's promoting this now as AIWFCIY will come to the fore in December. Hopefully at that point, it has some following too.

From a few minutes of searching on Apple Music it’s nice to see its added in their “New Music Daily” playlist albeit with fairly low placement. The new Silk Sonic song is just about everywhere with high placement.

The main version is sounding weird on my apple music, it’s like their voices are so low and I can’t hear them well, background music is too loud. Weird.
Now, the edited versions sound beautiful.
does this happen to you too?? Or is it just me?
