She tested her whistle at 2:48 but seems like it failed LOL and then she saved it with that AMAZING belted run at 2:50 (and don't ask me why but I think she sounded Celine-esque on that specific part just me?)

There will still be a big backlash the day off the release. 18min is beyond ridiculous no matter how you put it and with all the articles from the press the GP is not aware of that. On twitter whenever someone post the « 18min » thing underneath an article the answers are like « must be a typo ». Everybody is excepting a new Special they are not managing expectations well. But we love everybody and we will be watching

IMO they could've gone with something simpler this year, like more intimate, even some performances in the Butterfly Lounge with xmas deco etc, and push the special from last year, and maybe in two years do something grand with the setting of the new one.

I think the GP will mostly enjoy last year special (again) and they will watch the new one and it's gonna be ok for them (IMO).
Only lambs got frustrated 'cause the high expectactions.

I completely doubt that they would have mentioned AIWFCIY being Diamond in the Apple Special if it weren't - very likely the RIAA update is expected to come before Dec 3 before the special drops.

However, I would find it hilarious if AIWFCIY wasn't actually Diamond and all these fan sites are posting about it.

When the RIAA updates do come in, I would expect to see some other certs as well. Not sure what though... but Mariah's team has usually being doing updates in lots.

Very OT..... But I just saw The Prince of Egypt musical tonight and WYB fits so well. They play the melody a few times throughout the show and then the full song is close to the end. The girls doing the show in London's West End right now absolutely killed it
The whole show isn't quite on the same level as Les Miserables or Hamilton, but if you're a fan of musicals or can get cheap tickets it's worth seeing!

I don't want to get in again. But in this case the expectations were made by her and her mkt team, because even today they talk about a new special, bigger blah and it wasn't like that. This time is not fair blaming on the lambs expectations, I always enjoy what she brings and don't expect anything else, but this time I felt fooled. But it's ok, it's not the end of the world

One of the last shows I saw pre-C19 was &Juliet and it mostly had songs from Britney. Begging for something similar for Mariah.
