No, haha. I left that to Christina Marie!

I wanted to sing Roxanne by the police all slow and creepy and had my heart set on the version I’d come up with for my blind but the producers kept pushing me to come up with an arrangement for can’t get you out of my head and I didn’t understand why. I came up with that version and they loved it and eventually persuaded me to go with it. One week later it was announced on Radio 1 that Kylie was going to be the new coach. I was like “WHAT DOES THIS MEAAAAN?!” Haha.

apart from Mariah, my music taste is mostly Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Grunge, Folk etc. I loved Mariah as a kid and she has just stayed with me

I think the leaked video was a nice lil treat for lambs given that MC is in her quiet "working" season.

I also think maybe her team wonders about not oversaturating her given her HUGE Christmas exposure. But I dont know if this is the right approach at times. Either way, I am excited for the goodies to begin rolling out again.

It’s so good! Just a shame about the quality. I wish they properly recorded every show (I’m sure they did to some capacity)

There's PRO-FOOTAGE from all her tours/concerts but I guess they only film some snippets and not full performances.

Wow! I love the video.
It has a nice dark mood, clearly been done on a budget but plenty of replay value regardless. Few observations:

- Her complexion looks insane, she’s the ultimate video girl when it’s done right!
- love the fact they’ve linked the love interest from the first video (she was in the photo frame and popped up a few times after)
- Mariah could take some tips from Busta about how to make a video interesting on a budget. No shade but it’s true.
- They have amazing chemistry and clearly have a friendship
- Mariah running off at the end of everything she filmed is starting to become a Mariahism and I absolutely love it, it’s so cute and always makes me smile!
- I have a feeling this will do quite well on YouTube

The expectation on that scene was always that if you did covers you turned it on it’s head, so i think it helped me to look at songs from a different angle and think about what would make them fit me stylistically (I always look for songs in minor, which is usually a good starting point!)
